    Ok all of them are understandable but x2 is actually crazy

    I agree with the idea of sending Scream to another park. It is a solid ride, but not a great fit for MM. I also agree with floorless trains for Riddler. I vote to keep X2. I would remove Viper and replace it with something to get people wet on those 100 degree days. Finally, I like the Superman replacement idea the best. Using the hill to add 100 feet makes sense and I like the terrain giga coaster idea.

    Also I can see a RMC Trex (giga) since they been teasing (RMC)

    TBH....I didn't like any of the gigas...well...the one replacing Viper was...ok I guess.
    Instead of replacing Viper and have it start out of it's station and climb over Roaring Rapids to Apocalypse, why don't we reverse that layout and have the station where the old sling shot used to be, over by where Deja Vu was(There is lots of room over there), and have it travel over Roaring Rapids with a large treble clef turnaround over by Viper, and have portions of the track go down into the pool situated in the middle of Roaring Rapids to give a splashdown element, ESPECIALLY as riders on Roaring Rapids can get an extra splash while they ride, and then have a few more elements until it reaches the station.

    Thanks for using my recreation! This was during the time I thought every single coaster needed audio 😭 I’ve since toned down the amount of speakers in my parks lol
    Crazy to see how far I’ve come as a builder in almost 2 years since building this, so thanks for using it
    I really liked your concepts! I personally can’t see them getting a B&M giga but if they did I think Viper would be the one to get axed for it. Keep up the good work guys!

    I love the concepts. The only thing, steeper first hills. Outside of that, looking forward to Six Flags' announcement.

      We want to keep the coasters, if possible, that are currently there. Sure, a lot of the coasters need new paint and newer train sets. But it would be cool to keep Magic Mountain the king of coasters as far as quantity. But if anything needs removal to make room for the Giga, I will not touch Goliath, X2, the original Revolutions, Colossus, or Riddler. Scream and Superman can go. If Superman, I would produce a Superman theme for the Giga and find a way for it to go through Throttle, make sure Superman can be seen from the entrance and parking lot. Put a Six Flags flag and USA flags on top of it with an awesome lighting package. Take the Superman figure on top of the current Superman ride and re-purpose it on the new Giga at the top of the Giga hill.

    Thanks for sharing. Scream trains on riddler yes, Scream sent away yes. Viper, Superman, Ninja hit end of life yes. Apocalypse I hope they put on some Titan track in some of the rougher areas that seem to need constant upkeep. Have no idea about X2 I see your point special the wear and tear on track and trains, but is one of their premier coasters. I can't see them getting rid of Revolution but that maybe just a sentimental reason on my part. What about removing Goldrusher as well as a 50 year old coaster with a boring janky layout.

    Gregg, if you REALLY wanted to spite RD, the giga in Rev's station should be an Intamin. 😂🤣😂🤣😊👹

    Love the concepts. But I do think that X2's removal is unnessisary.
    While yes it does suffer from downtime and maintenance, so does a lot of coasters. And X2 has been improving reliability wise (from what I've seen). Plus, Viper takes up so much room already that I don't really think X2 NEEDS to be taken out for a giga. (Plus that's my favorite coaster in Cali (I understand why you wouldn't like it though it's not for everyone)).
    Either way I can't wait to see where these leaks might end up (:
    Great video!

      Any idea that includes the removal of x2 is absurd.

    Personally I can't agree with any coaster removal. Magic Mountain has kept a lot of its coasters alive throughout the years (except Scream they've just ignored that thing and let it rot). Even Viper gets a lot of love from the park and even with the headache that coasters like Superman and X2 can bring, Magic Mountain (unliked Cedar Fair) doesn't give up on any of its coasters and they pridefully show all of their lineup on display. Truthfully they are struggling though, I can tell with the fact that this summer 5 of their coasters have been closed so far. I've gone about 4 times since late June and Apocalypse, Riddler's Revenge, Ninja, Goliath, and Speedy Gonzalez have all been closed each time for one reason or another. I think they might actually repaint Goliath though which would be nice as that beast is looking a little old. Riddler is rumored to have a crack in the track, Ninja is getting a total overhaul, and Apocalypse is probably getting pieces replaced as usual. But even with the struggles you can see that Magic Mountain routinely repaints, routinely replaces parts, routinely fixes issues, and routinely does track replacements. They care about all their coasters (except Scream). Viper has amazing trains that run really well on the track, Tatsu got a repaint (despite my distaste in the color choices). I rather the park invest in another train for X2 and Revolution and fixing Scream's fucking trains before they add a giga or remove coasters.

      Yes, and if they removed some coasters that were more costly to run/maintain then they could have the coasters you have seen closed actually open.
      It's too much for one park.

    Which rides are going to be removed from six flags magic mountain?

  • @ParkJourney
    @ParkJourney  Рік тому +2

    I told you all I was going to make some people upset. I get that we all love these coasters, and we want them there forever. It's just not feasible. It's simply too much for one park. Even CP has slowed down on their coaster war, but they have an advantage over SFMM with their limited season and summer staff living at the dorms.

    • @MCQ-fq6bv
      @MCQ-fq6bv Рік тому

      CP is spending money differently, but still spending. 2023 The Grand Pavillion was 12M, the also added a wild mouse, refurbished/rethemed & relocated 2 rides, etc..The entire new Board Walk section was all in around a 25M project. In contrast SF hasn't & will not spend 20M, let alone up to 30M on a coaster or themed section of the park. There are a dozen reasons Sf won't do this beyond finances, ie....they can't staff the rides they have now & I do not see SFMM taking out multiple coasters or coasters & other rides for this, regardless if they decided to risk the money. SFMM loves to tout they have 20 coasters, the most of any park. The thrill rides is their thing as they can't compete with Knotts on theming, food, atmosphere, aesthetics, festivals/events, etc...

    I enjoyed the last coaster the most due to it's usage of the tunnels. Each of the designs needed a much steeper first drop if they want to stack up with all the GIga's in the midwest. CA is only 20+ years behind in the GIga coaster race but better late than never.

    To get rid of Revolution is blasphemy. All these senecios proposed here would sacrifice too many coasters just to include a coaster that does nothing more than check of a box. Magic Mountain does not need a giga. More air conditioned dark rides and another water ride are more welcoming than a giga. Moreover, a family straddle coaster or one of those Skyline fat-rail dueling family coaster are probably more needed to give Magic Mountain a more holistic family park feel.

    Doest it cost money to remove coasters unlike roller coaster tycoon we’re it gives you money. That means the cost would be more 😂

    Might as well throw in Justice League as well for the staffing. That ride is NEVER going to run consistently.
    With that said, #3 is the one I actually think could happen. The amount of money saved by using not just Superman’s built in terrain, but also reliving the park of one headache of an outdated launch coaster.
