Amanda talking about something rotting might be her telling the player something is wrong and wooly, being uncomfortable and doesnt know anything feels like its inappropriate which means hes stopping amanda from giving her message without meaning to.
Btw the father is trapped too his wooly beacause in the secret tape they were arguing then Amanda got mad and turned into a demon and killed all of them, then sams soul got trapped inside woollys body and rebbeca got trapped into Amanda
