So she would need to be selling 1 scoop at $9,62,- for $300.000 revenue. No one in their right mind would buy an icecream scoop at that price…….

She literally talked about how its common in her industry to not make money for 3-5 years. Its common for business owners to not take a cut of their income until they’re making net profits. The 300k is most likely revenue, not net profit. If she’s making net loss (common at start of business), then she doesnmt have anything left to pay herself. 100 scoops a day is 36k a year. You'd need to make a profit of ~$8 per scoop to 'make' $300k. Assuming cost per scoop in materials is 50 cents, rent and rates $1 and labour at $3 ($30/hr for 10 hours to serve 100 scoops) and each scoop would need to go for $12.40 pre tax. And that's based on weekend volumes. Weekdays much higher. I don't believe it's any where near $300k.
