You never know those collectibles value usually not degraded much unless broken/defected, some of it gradually increased like Batman TDKR, up to $300 from retail $200
True and I have that figure as well. But you think it's value has jumped that's nothing compared to figures like Blade, Godfather, Michael Jackson History Tour, Iron Man Mark 3 Gunmetal Grey SDCC exclusive, Hellboy among others which have jumped dramatically in value. Even more recent figures like Hawkeye, Loki(The Avengers), IM Midas, Marks 4,5,6 & 7 have taken fairly big spikes in value. But you're right they usually never degrade, they either stay about the same, rise some or rise a lot in value depending on the figure.
I find that they keep getting better all the time! I love all my figures and proudly display them in my living room! Every single person that sees them is amazed at how detailed they are. And yes some of them are a wise investment to be sure. An Iron man figure I got a few years ago now fetches three times the price in the aftermarket.
quality does degrade without taking it out of boxes, all Ironman figures are known for colour fading after year or so. Especially MK4 and MK You can do a search on HK toys forum.
I own some 1:6 scale figures such as Phicen, Flirty Girl, Super Duck and others, but I don’t have one hot toy figure because they are very expensive. However, I will get one or two one of these days. It is worth the effort.
Great collectibles its almost impossible to get them all due to the prices but i got i couple n next year will be getting couple more they are addictive and HTs have improved there realness

You must be mistaking these for those toys you see sitting on shelves at Toys R Us or Walmart. I understand that these are not for everyone which they are not, but if you've ever seen these in person which I'm sure you haven't they are a far cry from some damn $5 figures man.

But in many ways high end 1/6 scale pieces are no different than porcelain, collectible coins, fine china, art or other high end collectibles. If you have a passion for something whatever it is than you're probably willing to spend to have it in your collection, some people just don't look at it the way and can comprehend what these mean to collectors. I was one of those people that was outside looking in saying there is no way I would spend this kind of money on a toy, but once I seen the craftsmanship, tailoring of the clothing, the lifelike sculpts and the fine attention to detail I knew these beautiful stunning pieces we're far more than your ordinary toys you find on shelves in Toys R Us, Walmart, Target, K-Mart, K-B Toys etc.
i love hot toys, they are some of the most highly detailed action figures i have ever seen, but they cost too much
