Oh and very sweet babygirl ya got ! I just had my first granddaughter!
Thank you and congratulations!!
I didn't realize this video would get so much attention, we still use it almost 6 years later (same one) so I'll be doing a new video soon to show you how to use it. We love it and prefer it over others.
These types of videos is a parent win. Thank You!
you're so welcome! thank you!!
thanks for helping me in a crunch time with a sick kiddo!
you're so welcome!
Thanks for not showing us how to use it holy crap
you're welcome........... I demonstrated how to use it in the dark and light towards the end. :)
I hate this thing! how do you get the "1M" to stop blinking? I just want to take a temperature.
You have to hold the button down the whole time taking the temperature then it should show, if you aren't getting a temperature you are letting go too soon
@@taniapinto8294 All that does is turn it off!
@@supporterofeverythingyouli6255 then it might be defective or need a new battery because that is what works with mine holding the button down
@@taniapinto8294 No I've learned you need to start with it off. Then hold down and scan, the directions on the thermometer are wrong that is causing the confusion.
@@supporterofeverythingyouli6255 I had the same problem, I did what you said, and it work! Thank you, I was getting so frustrated 😀
I've been using the original for 9 yrs now on the granbabies.Still works, batteries last looong time . Pricey back then, but worth the money. Guess it's time to upgrade!
I have both almost 10 years now :D
I noticed the corporate UA-cam ch for this device the comments were turned off. I can see why. They need default settings then if one chooses to they can go in and mess with it.
It can be tricky if you’re not used to it but we are pretty familiar with it now. 😊
How do you use the device? While holding the button going across my head it just turns off. What am I doing wrong?
It definitely shouldn’t turn off. May need new batteries or defective. Or you may be doing it too long?
Just tell me how to use it to take a temp fml
Hope you figured it out. Sorry :(
Yeah , I've just taken my temp twenty plus times and never had a reading over 96 f ... I'm not sick but the person that can't get outta bed is at 98 degrees Fahrenheit and I'm thinking it's higher than that...
So now I'm going to get the old , inexpensive tried and tried thermometer 🌡️ ...
sorry it didn't work well for you :(
It just keeps going back to the 8 memory temperatures. How do I clear it I don’t care about that feature. Very frustrating.
That part is definitely a pain sometimes. I just let it turn off and then use it.
I’m a 16 year old girl sitting in my kitchen sobbing because i don’t know what just happened for the last 2, almost 3 hours now (i think i was delusional) and i’m freaking out over being delusional and the coronavirus and i don’t know how to take the god damn temperature and i’m still crying and i’m on my period and i’m tired and everything has just gone to shit and i have to wake up for school in two hours what do i do
Your periods over, you didn’t get corona and there’s no more school. Everything is gonna be OK.
This damn Covid is scarring our kids for life and robbing them of sports and a social life.
I hope you're okay.
Does this thermometer work for adults?
yes :)
When I scan mine it says “LO” I thought maybe changing battery’s but says the same thing ! Why?
That means the temperature is too low.
It’s for adults too right?
yep!
cannot change 9 volt battery
why not? :o I'd call the company for sure!
How an you change it from c/m to ferhit
Press the button until you see the C - F and then hold and press to select which one you want.
How do you reset it
I'm not sure what you mean by reset, but I just hold down the button for a few seconds until it turns off and then it resets in that way.
Trying to see what the top part that takes temperature looks like.. waste of time as it was cut off during entire video or pointed downward so I could never see it
We weren't focusing the video on that. Sorry.
Worse thermometer ever, took my wife hours trying to figure out how it works. Stupid memory feature complicate things. Turns out you have to hold the button down then scan your forehead, but holding it down will also change settings. You just have to be lucky. You will need the manual attached to it because you will not remember how it works when you need it. Other brands, you just hold it to your head and press the button. This thing you hold the button and scan your forehead, but hold the button before putting it on your forehead else you will change the settings. After i got it to work, if you scan your head 10 times, 9 times will have different readings, like 3-4 degrees different. Anyways, i threw it in the trash
Sorry that you didn't like it. We still use it and love it. One that is effortless that we also like is the Braun ear thermometer. We use both.
I felt the same for years. Until today that my other 2 less complicated thermometers were j not working… I had to use the forehead one. Thanks to your comments I was able to finally get a temperature after 7yrs later 😂.
I like your video, it was nice you were showing the different settings what it was for but the video was missing how to scan the forehead. Thanks to another user I figure it out. Thank you
@@gomelamar we showed a visual towards the end and I couldn’t talk too much since baby was asleep 😬 I wish I would have done a voice over.
Honestly, my brother-in-law and I have this thermometer, the new version, and neither one of us can access the battery compartment on this thing despite reading the instructions and trying multiple times.
We still use it and love it :(
@@CourtneysSweets so any tips on opening the battery compartment?
@@MartyInLa push in where the lines are and it should slide right out with pressure pushed that way.
Nice video awful thermometer, there are so many out there you just click and take the temp, this one you have to be taught how to use.
Thanks, I'm sorry you don't love it. It seems like people need me to make a new video or want me to buy a new thermometer lol
@@CourtneysSweets I can't really remember how to use this one, I traded it in for one you just push the button and run across the forehead down towards the ear. Very easy.
@@Harleyrk99 Happy to hear you have a thermometer that works perfectly for you!
Thank you for the demo. I can hardly read instructions lol eyesight is TERRIBLE
So glad you found it helpful!
Ours keeps showing 98.0 degrees. That can’t be right. A couple of times it showed 97.4. I don’t trust the results of this thermometer at all but electronics are never as reliable in my opinion. It just seems very unreliable because the numbers seems too low.
Ours is consistent with our ear thermometer.
According to this thermometer I'm dead 72.0. Garabge
🫠 sorry it’s not working well for you. Is it on Fahrenheit? Have you tried contacting them?
So, this video skipped over most of her saved temperatures, but the 4 that we did get to see were all over the place, from 96.3 to 99.0. This is my exact fear confirmed with this type of thermometer.
Those were ones I did to get some saved and show variation. Hope that helps :)
Just avoid it
I mean... it works for us :)
The worst thermometer ever
Sorry you didn't love it.
This thermometer sucks. It gives me readings all over the place and led me to believe my daughter didn't have a fever. This reader said 97.1 no matter how many different ways I swiped on her forehead and held down the button. She was warm so I got an under the armpit one from the dollar store and had to take her to urgent care with a 103 fever. Never buying exergen again.
I'm sorry you don't love it.
Are you serious??? They must have sponsored you to do this video. This thermometer is 100% useless. It’s difficult to use compared to actual temporal scanners and the button rarely registers. Absolutely awful review. But if your gonna spew this out for cash then good for you, enjoy screwing people over.
We legit got just the thermometer for it lol so not really much, but we do LOVE it and still use it. :)
@@CourtneysSweets What a gracious reply to such an unnecessarily rude comment. You are a class act!
I hate this stupid thermometer. It's too complicated. I can't switch it from C to F and it reads poorly.
Sorry it’s not working well for you. We still have this exact thermometer (both) and have no issues. Have you tried contacting the company?
Every time I take a temp with this stupid thing its 97.9, even the dogs.
Hmm, sorry. Dogs?
Omg I HATE this stupid thermometer. What a pain in the ass
Sorry to hear that.. we have both of them (glow and regular) for almost 10 years now without an issue.
Very bad thermometer👎
Sorry to hear that.. we have both of them (glow and regular) for almost 10 years now without an issue.
I HATE this thermometer! It barely ever gives me a reading because I am not holding it right and not scanning it right!!!!!!! Don’t buy!!!!!
Sorry to hear that.. we have both of them (glow and regular) for almost 10 years now without an issue.
This thermometer SUCKS! Keeps cycling through previous temperatures. If you can get it to work, if you take your temperature three times, you'll get three different readings like 3 degrees apart. Another Chinese product that doesn't work right.
Sorry to hear that.. we have both of them (glow and regular) for almost 10 years now without an issue. I love all of my Chinese products...
