My engagement ring is moissanite as well, and I don't call it "fake" because it's not. It's simply just not a diamond. It's beautiful and that's all you need to say.
@@yunlongwu8071 also you're wonderful for understanding sacrifice for someone you love! That's very admirable but you should be understanding in that people have different ways of sacrificing and they also sacrifice what they have for different causes! Okay I'm done lol
I also have a moisannite, and I also felt a lot of anxiety about people reacting to it. But now I don't care anymore because I love it. Because moissanite is so firey a lot of people around me know my fiance can't spend a lot of money on a ring, they assumed he went into debt to get it. But he didn't! Because it was moisannite it was paid off! 😊
It makes me sad that you’re calling it a fake diamond 💎. Moissanite isn’t a diamond, it’s a gem stone. Don’t let anyone call your moissanite a fake diamond. Your engagement ring is beautiful.
It sucks that you felt so much pressure/stress about this - Your ring is beautiful! Moissanite isn’t a “fake diamond” but it’s a beautiful stone in itself like a sapphire or emerald. Diamonds are a major scam, their value is inflated because of De Beers controlling the supply, they are actually in abundance and the entire concept of a diamond ring bought with 3 months salary is all marketing. People wore gemstones or non diamond prior to De Beers massive marketing campaign. Good for you for being sensible and not going into debt for a piece of jewelry!
Yes!! Moissanite in itself is such a rare gem and people down play it by saying it’s a diamond imitation like swarvoski or cubic zirconia. Moissanite gems are worth more than people realize!
PREACH @Janetson91!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 The marketing behind diamonds is one of the most successful scams ever! It’s so sad that so many have fallen for it and have equated the value of their relationship with having a diamond. Thanks for sharing knowledge and truth with us!
My engagement ring is moissanite and it’s honestly better than a diamond! It’s more ethical for everyone involved. Mining is terrible for the earth as well the people that mine them. I get compliments on my ring daily and when I tell people that it’s moissanite and how much we saved everyone thinks its a smarter alternative. I’m so glad you made this video because the shame around not having a diamond is deep and educating people on other options is so important!!
Mine and my fiancé's exect senitment. We're looking to purchase a home as well vs spending so much on a wedding and ring. Congrats on the house and wonderful marriage!
Iam a jeweler, I think you and your husband made a very wise decision, very smart, the money you save will help you to do something else more important, congratulations, best wishes to both of you, be healthy, stay safe.
To be able to afford that ring at 21 is something to be proud of. Not a lot of 21 year olds have that kind of money, let alone wanting to get married. Congratulations 💕
I love my moissanite wedding ring set. Diamonds are a rip off, and it’s annoying women feel pressured to have one. I wear my ring proudly, and had a few people later get moissanite for their own wedding rings after they saw mine.
Youve made the right decision to never go into debt whilst in a relationship it is not worth it. Your marriage does not revolve around a ring. Uv done amazing by opening up x
Your ring is as “real” as you make it. It’s real because it symbolizes your engagement to Jason and his to you. That’s all that matters. People will never be happy with anything, so don’t mind what anybody thinks. Your ring is your ring. Period!!
@@byCHLOEWEN Also keep in mind they were discovered in a meteorite originally! They just discovered how to recreate them in a lab. Plus the refractive index of a Moissanite is much higher than a diamond, and is a close Second on the mohs scale of hardness at a 9.25 while diamonds are a 10. A Moissanite has a rainbow reflecting light while diamonds have a white sparkle. Also they are flawless and a diamond will unfortunately have imperfections becuase it is mined. I suggest Charles and Calvard btw they have a patented method on making the most brilliant Moissanites! They are lovingly created and not massed produced
You have a beautiful moissanite solitaire engagement ring! It looks absolutely amazing on your feminine, slender hand. I hate that people feel societal pressure to call a diamond alternative ring "fake." It's a real moissanite, and it is gorgeous and reasonably priced, especially for young couples who are deliriously in love but don't have a ton of dispensable income. The mined diamond industry is terrible anyway!
People are way too darn nosey these days! It shouldn't matter & truthfully it's none of ANYONE'S business! Your marriage is more important than the ring on your finger! Just ask God😘
Now this is the Chloe I want to see and hear from. This is called being true and honest to yourself. Never feel pressure to always explain what you do or don’t do. I’m so very proud and happy for your growth. You’re ring is not fake, it’s been blessed with Jason and your vows before God. God bless you.
Girlllllllllll There’s No Law saying Your wedding ring has to be a Diamond,,, it’s definitely what you like. Diamond are only worth something long as your in the store,, soon as you leave out the store the value goes down,,, I have several Moissanite I will never ever go back to Diamonds,, your ring is beautiful 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I’m currently wearing my mother-in-law’s engagement ring that passed away in January. It’s about a 3 carat. My father-in-law bought the stone which is a white sapphire and my birthstone while he was stationed in the Air Force in Thailand I believe. He had the ring designed for her. My former stone in my engagement ring was a blue sapphire. Your ring is beautiful and I totally agree with you. It doesn’t matter if the stone is real or not as long as you love it.
My mother got engaged a few weeks back. She kept bragging about how expensive her engagement ring was and how big it was. Her fiance spent almost 5k on her engagement ring and wedding ring!!! My husband spent literally less than $600 on both my engagement ring and wedding ring. Lol my mom has always been the material type though. I don't see anything wrong with getting a more affordable ring. As long as they are good quality and will stand the test of time. I'm perfectly happy with mine and I wouldn't ask for anything different. Although, it's not necessarily the cheapest, it's also not outrageously expensive. :) glad you talked about this!
I don’t think $5000 is anything super crazy depending on where you’re at in life. If the guy has it why not :) but I wouldn’t like the bragging either, it doesn’t matter what it costs at the end of the day but what it means.
I really don't want a diamond ring, and especially no big one. Yes, I really like to marry my boyfriend because I really love him, but I don't want him to spend a rediculus amount of money on a ring. I would be totally afraid to wair it. I like a nice ring but I would be very happy with anything he could afford.
it think it says so much about your relationship that it was founded on practicality and future planning and above all love...it's a beautiful ring and you're a lovely soul and it's the meaning of the ring that matters most 🙏🏻
I highly encourage everyone to watch the episode of Explained on Netflix about diamonds! And do your research on diamonds!! They’re not everything we are think they are. Your ring is gorgeous!!
The whole, “I’ve been married for two years and the ring no longer matters” is so true! I wear my gold band all the time now. Prefer it over my diamond ring most of the time. For whatever reason, the gold band makes me feel more true to our relationship by not depending on the materialistic side of it... if that makes any sense. Lol
I have never given a second thought to the fact that my engagement ring is lab created 🤷 my husband was in college and working as a barista when he bought it and it is exactly what I wanted. 10 years later (And kids and a house and several moves and a million life things) I am still happily wearing it ☺️
I have a lab created diamond and I loveeeee it! We saved so much money and no one can even tell that it’s lab created and it’s sooo clear and beautiful. I feel like “real” diamonds are almost a scam. I appreciate your honesty and I hope more girls will know these things aren’t what really matters. The marriage is what matters.
Oh I’m so happy you love your lab diamond as well!! No one can ever tell 🥰 I do have a hard time stomaching putting ourselves into a trick financial situation for a diamond!! Maybe one day just not before we get a house hahah 😂
Lab grown diamond are diamond, they have the same genetics, one is mined from earth the other is man made. It is like natural birth or in vitro baby :)
My partner and I just got engaged and I picked out my own ring. There was no proposal (we are more talk it out and agree kind of people) and my partner knows that I'm way too picky with jewelry to not have a say in the process. I went with a silver band with an uncut black diamond, because I'm not much for traditional rings. It hasn't come yet (also from etsy), but it is 100% my style and cost less than $400.
Hello, hope to get an answer, is ETSY a trustable way to buy it? I also found by an image a ring on Etsy but got confused by the price , since it was also $400 & I start questioning myself if the quality will be good, how it went for you??
@@58mrjean My experience was great! The ring is exactly what I expected and is high quality. As long as the shop has good reviews and the seller communicates well, I think you should go for it!
My favorite stone is moissanite too and it actually coincides with my husband's birthday. Where a diamond is made from carbon (#6 on the periodic table of elements,) a moissanite is carbon and silicon together. Silicon is assigned the #14 on the periodic table. My husband's birthday is 6/14 so it was a very nice surprise to find that info out. I have 3 moissanite rings and 3 bands (1 diamond, 1 moissanite, and 1 CZ.) I mix and match them in all different ways bc I change my mind so often.
Love! I have an emerald cut moissanite engagement ring and love embracing it. I don't consider it t a "fake diamond", but rather a beautiful gemstone that happens to look very similar to a diamond.
thank you for being so raw and vulnerable with us! 🥺 i can’t quite word it properly, but i appreciate how you acknowledged the reality of the idea of status and comparison since it is SO prevalent in our culture. LOVE your videos, you’re my fav!
I sell jewelry especially engagement rings (I have a diamond grading license from GIA in New York) and I truly think that moissonnite is a fantastic choice for an engagement ring. I have also sold emeralds, sapphires which come in many colors not just blue. So, I totally agree. Your ring is gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing! Blessings!
When my husband and I got engaged we both were fresh out school too and didn’t have much money starting out. I think there is a lot of pressure from social media to have a big expensive diamond ring. I love moisanite it’s a great beautiful ring!! I love your ring! It’s stunning
My husband and I chose an estate ring from eBay. It is a 0.3 carat diamond in white gold for $300. The same size diamond ring was going to cost us $1000 at the jewelry store. It’s dainty, and I love it. We used to savings to get married in Hawaii.
My partner and I are in the process of getting a Moissanite engagement ring and we both preferred going down that path. I told my bestfriend about it and she was telling me to be cautious about going for Moissanite because I don’t want to be paying $1k+ for “glass”… so I said, it’s 0.25 harder than a Sapphire… is Sapphire glass? I didn’t think so 🙄 if anything, it’s one of the best gems I’ve heard of so far. The stigma around Moissanite is atrocious, but I’m very excited to be getting a ring around our desired budget but getting my dream ring 😍
So glad I found this video. I was telling my partner I’ve been toying with the idea of a moissanite ring so I could get what I wanted size wise. We can afford a 8-10k on a ring, but I just feel guilty asking him to spend that much money. I would rather put that into furnishing our new home. This video really made my final decision on the moissanite!!
chelsea corona Yupp.. just because you can afford it doesn’t mean it’s a wise decision.. I just can’t fathom spending 8k-10k on a ring when I can get one just as nice for 1-2k. I think home, wedding, car means more to me.
We are in the stage of looking for a ring. In looking and learning more about the market, I have learned that "you can't live inside a diamond ring". Diamonds are as beautiful as any other stone out there. I am very proud of both of you, for not giving in and buying something you guys were not able to buy or go into debt for it. I think you guys made a great choice and it shows how "fiscally" responsible you guys were and are at this point. I love your ring and I love the fact that you are truly happy with it!. Thanks for opening up as a lot of us girls (are in the same fear/pressure boat).
My ring is also moissanite and I remember feeling so ashamed of it and feeling like I had to defend why I chose this type of ring. It looks beautiful but I am always so nervous that people are thinking it’s fake. But I’ve started realizing that other people really don’t care and if they do it doesn’t matter. At the end of the day, I’m married to the love of my life and that’s what matters. Thank you for sharing your story ❤️
I just want to get proposed to 😭 I don’t care about the ring I just want commitment, to get married young like you have. You are so lucky and your ring is lovely too!
Congrats! I also got a moisannite engagement ring and I got lots of compliments. Only one person who wasn't a jeweler asked what stone I had. Most people just see a beautiful ring, they don't care if it is or isn't a natural mined diamond. The setting has lab created diamonds and it was all under $3500. And we just didn't feel like spending a ton of money on just an engagement ring.
Recently I’ve been feeling really self conscious about my engagement ring and I don’t know why. I have a vintage .5 carat diamond ring and I’ve been constantly comparing the small size of my ring to others. I totally related to this video (as far as hiding your ring from others or avoiding talking about it). I wish I had considered this option when we were looking. At the end of the day, the ring doesn’t really matter. We’ve saved up. We bought a house. We didn’t go into debt for our wedding. And we’re happy. That’s what matters. Thanks for sharing this.
I love that you’re being real & that you dont care what people think in terms of the judgment of others. You are very unique & beautiful & love that you are secure with who you are. I hope that other young women & girls can have the integrity that you display. Moissanite is rated 9.5 on the Mohs scale of Mineral Hardness, with a diamond rating at10. Your stone choice is excellent and beautiful.
Such a smart move! A ring is a token of your love. So your ring is real and gorgeous! You have nothing to hide! What an amazing option and sorry you had to go through those insecurities but glad you were able to work through them. Anyone who would judge a ring needs to look inward.
First of all.....if it means something to you that’s all that matters. Diamonds are over rated and only wanted and pricey because of the advertising the jewelry stores do. Making you feel like it’s what you NEED. you guys did the right thing and don’t need to explain. You are absolutely right to not go into debt! A friend of mine had the same stone and it was amazing! Congratulations!
I fully understand your hesitation to 'come clean' about your ring. I too had a 1.5 lab created diamond. And I lied through my teeth regarding the real, or unreal of it. Nobody's business! It always amazed me at the nerve of anyone asking if it was real or not. Personally, I would NEVER do that. It's very rude. If people ask, it is because they just want to pull you down or are envious. You should be proud of yourself and your husband for the decision you made.
Such a great message that I wish everyone could hear! I want to add one thing: Charles Winston always reminds people that moissanite is not a diamond simulant. Moissanite is a diamond alternative! I own a 4.20 carat Moissanite Fire engaged ring from him. I also own lots of his other pieces. They are wonderful. I prefer moissanite for everyday wear.
Your ring is absolutely gorgeous!!! Moissanite stones are amazing, ethical, practical, and so stunning!!! Thank you so much for sharing this video! 🙌❤️💍
chloe!! this is not an exaggeration when I say your ring fits my dream engagement ring to a T!!! moissanite, oval, simple and thin plain yellow gold band, 2 carats ... I’m so happy and completely solidified with my decision when the time comes :)
Thank you for this video! I've had these same feelings about my moissanite ring, the same kind of "shame", for lack of better words, but never could really say it. We also felt it was the more ethical choice + financially smart way to go into marriage. As frustrating as it was to have people question our finances or subtley shame me for not having a "real diamond ring", I'm kind of proud of my choice now that I'm older!
Love your ring! I actually prefer moissanite to diamonds for ethical reasons. My husband replaced my diamond engagement ring with a gorgeous moissanite for our 10 year anniversary, and I am even happier and more proud than before. Moissanite is a real stone with great longevity, and I think it was extremely thoughtful and responsible of you and your husband to make that choice so young. Thanks for sharing!! I wish I would have known about moissanites from the beginning, and you spreading awareness is fantastic for so many people!
I felt sick to my stomach looking at diamond prices. It really weighed on me while my other half and I talked about engagement rings. I didn't want to spend so much money. I had my heart set on a Tiffany type setting too. I didn't end up with that and have a placeholder. We decided to upgrade me at our 10 year anniversary. I have my heart set on a rose gold and morganite ring now, maybe with a diamond wrap set in rose gold or maybe white gold or platinum for a different look. My current ring is 1.5 ctw.. and I do like it but I don't love it. I picked it out myself. Whoops.
I have a rose gold/morganite set! I love it so much! The stone is a softer stone, and I've already scratched mine. But no one can see it unless you know where to look. :) I'm also pretty hard on my hands.
I was so anxious about my engagement ring until my husband assured me that he didn't pay more than the cost of his rent for it. After that I felt like I could actually enjoy wearing it without worrying about it.
This is what a video that every women should watch! What matters is the love!!! I just shared the videos to my cousins and sister that is not married yet. You are so practical and amazing to share this!!!!❤️❤️❤️
I love your ring. Your commitment to each other is far more important! When your a thrifter expensive rings aren't the first thing on your mind. Getting what you like is more fun. It's nice to see you use common sense and honesty. Bless you.
I have a moissanite engagement ring but I didn’t get it to pass off as a diamond. I love moissys and their beautiful rainbow fire. They outperform diamonds in fire and brilliance. 😋🔥
Thank you so much for sharing I’m 21 and currently looking for a ring and we didn’t want something super expensive, but I am skeptical about the longevity of the rings when their at a lower price but hearing someone say two years it makes me feel more secure where we are spending our money, so thank you for posting I really appreciate it 🙏🙏☺️♥️
What a beautiful ring! My husband and I picked a tanzanite ring and it was so much cheaper than getting the equivalent sized diamond. The diamond industry is absolutely a scam and I'm so glad to see more people going with alternative gem stones!
There is so much ignorance in this world. I love your ring and I am so glad you found the strength to not care about how others feel about it. Enjoy your ring, your relationship and your man, beautiful woman!! Many blessings to you and thank you for this video!!
I think the price of an engagement ring should not matter in the sense that I don’t get why it should cost a lot. Especially when the finances don’t allow it. It’s the same when people buy cars they can’t afford. My engagement ring is vintage and it has a black stone and I absolutely love it. It has sentimental value and this is how it should be. So don’t feel that pressure and in general with nothing else. The relationship matters, everything else is just stuff that can’t buy happiness.
Chloe, thank you so much for the information, my engagement ring was stolen few years ago, it’s good to know of this option, they are beautiful rings, and more affordable!
I also have a moissanite ER from Rosados Box and love it! Every couple hundred dollars I can put to house savings feels amazing, so I cannot imagine spending 10x the amount on a ring. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever replace it, it just doesn’t seem like a good use of money when I already have a beautiful ring. My fiancé talks about replacing it one day, but I can think of so so many other ways to use that money.
I love this video!! My boyfriend and I are doctors and I told him I want a moissanite ring no matter how much money we make. I don't think I can wear and walk around with a $10k+ ring with the risk of losing it and I would much rather put the money towards a house or something more financially logical. Love your engagement ring!!
Several people have a mossinite (idk how to spell it) ring on UA-cam and have made videos about it. Honestly it’s been a thing for years to have something besides a diamond. I’ve seen sapphire, aquamarine, pearl rings. Rock your ring! It’s beautiful and it makes you happy.
After searching out basic embroidery stitches and watching one of your videos I stumbled across this one. I noticed your beautiful ring in that video. I know lots of people who wear lab created stones. I personally would prefer wearing a lab created ring because of the cost plus they are beautiful. It’s important for people to stay grounded in the things that are most important in life. Owning the most expensive this or that is far from it especially when it’s not in the budget. Debt is no joke! I love your confidence and that you shared this with your followers. 😀
That is a great video! Thank you for sharing! Although I do have a real diamond ring, very high quality , it is just 1 carat. It was very expensive. My fiancé though quality wasn’t more important than size. However, most woman like bigger diamonds, and I think it’s wonderful to go moissanite to get both of those, quality and size. Moissanite is almost as hard as a diamond, so the weight is about the same. And it’s not cubic zirconia. It’s a wonderful quality stone! Years ago, I use to watch jewelry tv, and I always thought I would want a moissanite. Iam considering purchasing one to use when I travel, and leave my real one at home! Thanks for the encouragement and your beautiful story!
Good for you! You have brains and the correct perspective on life and love. My husband and I put money down on a house and I have moissanite, so yeah it is all about priorities. Keep up the good, and at the end of the day, it just doesn’t matter.
Seriously. Thank you for making this!!! I think so many people need to hear this that they don’t need to spend money on a big diamond and that there are other ethical options! I’ve been obsessively looking into moissanite so I’m happy to hear that’s it’s held up ☺️
Your ring is beautiful! I think whatever works best for the couple and makes you guys happy is all that matters. I wanted diamond earrings for my upcoming two year anniversary and ended up going with a lab grown diamond for the price and larger size. They are just as sparkly as my real diamond ring and are more ethical and environmentally friendly. 🙂
I love the ring. Very classic. I want a moissanite, b/c it's a legit stone & very sparkly for a fraction if the price. The diamond industry is a scam, & why not enjoy all options for a beautiful ring?
Chloe thank you for sharing this video! It is so nice to hear how well your stone has stood up over time. That is something I’ve often wondered about and not a lot of people talk about. Your ring is absolutely beautiful!!
I have a 12 millimeter princess cut stone moissanite set in a tiffany style on my diamond band. Absolutely love it! It has more brilliance and fire than a diamond and I would never waste money on a diamond its candle light in color and refraction is amazing! Thanks for sharing your story.
Gorgeous ring.! I got engaged super young too. So my first engagement ring was a white sapphire. Everyone thought it was a real diamond, until id tell them. But he upgraded it to my choice of ~ a tanzanite & diamond ring. I love tanzanite since its more rare then diamonds..🥰
My friend actually had her diamond switched out for a moissanite. She found her diamond was not of the best quality because to get the size she wanted the stone needed to be less than perfect. We have to remember diamonds became popular for an engagement ring because of clever advertising and marketing. I have an 1.5 carat oval morganite with diamond halo and always get compliments on it. :). Your ring is stunning.
Moissanites are absolutely beautiful 😍😍😍. I'm not big on jewellery and I don't wear them often. My engagement ring has a 1ct moissanite and it's stunning!!! My fiancé chose well and it came all the way from Russia with love 😉 I would recommend that over diamonds any day.
Your ring is absolutely STUNNING, Chloe! 😍 I’m in my 30s and have a successful career and I still prefer a moissanite for so many reasons including the cost. Purchasing a diamond engagement ring is NOT an investment but purchasing property is! Building wealth is super important to my boyfriend and I. He had never even heard of moissanites before meeting me but I gave him a run down of the history, benefits, and cost and he was sold! Lol. I have already picked out a stunning moissanite engagement ring for when he’s ready. And you know what? I’ll be showing that bad boy 💍 off to the world simply because it was given to me by the man that I love 😂. Good for you for doing what works best in your relationship! I’m glad to hear that you dealt with your insecurities and have found the confidence to say to hell with what others think! Your future self will thank you! 💜
thank you for this video! honestly, some people out here with million dollar rings and then get divorced in less than two months! not about the value of the ring, but about the commitment. well said!
As much as we all compare it’s so nice to know that others can’t just automatically afford things too. Your ring is just as beautiful and special as any another!! Even more so because you love it.
I bought a beautiful ring at a department store. It’s a blush color. I thought how much I wished this was my wedding ring. I have a traditional ring. I think we should all choose whatever type of stone that makes us happy and not worry about the status of having a real diamond.
I love that you did this video! This is my first time commenting on a video but your message was so important I just had to! Thank you for bringing light to the important issues like going into marriage with as little debt as possible and the pressure we all feel to try and keep up. We need more videos with this honesty and this is the true way we become strong women and better human beings. Great job!!
Aww you’re so kind thank you for taking the time to watch and comment 🥰❤️ I am happy to share my story and hopefully encourage others to do what they feel is best!
I have a sapphire ring and I love it. I get compliments all the time. It was so much cheaper than a diamond and very special and unique. It's also my husband's birthstone, so it makes it even more special.
Your ring is so beautiful and the ring is a symbol of love and commitment, not the price at all. I would definitely get a Moissanite ring just like yours!!!!!!! Diamonds loose their worth, my engagement ring and band cost $4300.00 21 years ago and I can’t get that now. They give you a fraction on an upgade
I love my moissanite ring, and I think yours is beautiful! I agree with everyone else saying you shouldn't think of it as a fake diamond - it is a stunning and strong gemstone in its own special category. My now husband and I wanted to save for travel and experiences (and paying off student loans) instead of jewelry! The ethical benefits were a plus as well.
I resonate with this so much!! Rings are soooo expensive and I don't think people should be shamed when getting an alternative stone! It's ridiculous! Thanks for educating me about moissanite! I'll need to look into it!
Lost my my center stone during an accident. I was devastated, but it was insured. We got a $300 moissanite princess cut stone to replace and it blends right in with the diamonds in my setting. We're taking a really nice vacation with the rest of the money.
I have both, and I prefer the moisonite. The moisonite is smaller than the diamond but is just as pretty as the diamond.I am a Grandmother and you younger people are so smart . Wear that moisonite with pride !
My bf which is my fiancé now just proposed to me on Christmas! It was so sweet and simple. I have been divorced before and got a diamond ring and it was disappointing because it was so expensive and didnt even sparkle like how i wanted it to be. But this time around, i chose to have a moissanite and told my fiancé about it. He also did his research and got me the ring that i really wanted. I didnt regret it because i know for a fact he didnt have to spend too much money on such pretty ring. Now we are going to save money for a house and getting ready for our baby and get a bigger car.
Honestly some Moissanite are way more beautiful than a diamond. And their pretty close to a diamond. Where the diamond is a 10 for its hardness, a Moissanite is a 9.5. The refractions are beautiful. I have a diamond band and my husband just purchased me Moissanite , and it’s gorgeous . You did good. Congratulations!!!
Girl I’ve literally never thought anything less of an engagement that wasn’t a diamond. The point is the symbol of it! I personally don’t want a diamond I want a different colored gemstone or pearls!! wear whatever you damn please! I sure as hell don’t want my man spending a lot of $$ on a ring bc I have anxiety and I’ll just be worried about losing il
My sister-in law's engagement ring (30 years ago) is a ruby. Her birthstone and much less than a diamond. They were going to upgrade but they never did. Bought a house, raised two daughters now away at college so it was not necessary. Good for you!
I admire you for doing what was truly important to you and Jason, not just proceeding with what the usual/ ordinary/worldly standard tells us is the "right way" to do things!!! You both did what was practical and fitting for your own personal lifestyle 👏😄👏😄👏😄
My engagement ring is moissanite as well, and I don't call it "fake" because it's not. It's simply just not a diamond. It's beautiful and that's all you need to say.
I just used the word "fake" for the title 🥰 I don't actually view it as "fake" 🙈 I love that you have a moissanite ring too!! They are so pretty ❤️
Very well said!
@@yunlongwu8071 also you're wonderful for understanding sacrifice for someone you love! That's very admirable but you should be understanding in that people have different ways of sacrificing and they also sacrifice what they have for different causes! Okay I'm done lol
It’s GLASS ring nothing more nothing less.
@@qwillis331 yes you are the king and expert on all rings in the universe!
I can’t believe this is something that people feel ashamed of. Moissanites are beautiful and I prefer them! ♥️Diamonds are way overhyped.
They are so beautiful!! Especially in person 🥰❤️
It's very pretty is not about the price or size of the ring it's the love be hide it
I totally agree!!! I prefer moissanites as well! 💛
I feel the same.
It makes me sad that you’re calling it a fake diamond 💎. Moissanite isn’t a diamond, it’s a gem stone. Don’t let anyone call your moissanite a fake diamond. Your engagement ring is beautiful.
Haha I know it’s not fake! It’s very special and much different ❤️ just titled it for the vid 🥰
Aw thank you!!! I love my ring ❤️
Totally agree with this! I’m also going to get a moissanite :)
Amen girl 👌
My engagement ring is moissanite and it’s honestly better than a diamond! It’s more ethical for everyone involved. Mining is terrible for the earth as well the people that mine them. I get compliments on my ring daily and when I tell people that it’s moissanite and how much we saved everyone thinks its a smarter alternative. I’m so glad you made this video because the shame around not having a diamond is deep and educating people on other options is so important!!
Happy to share my story and how much I love my moissanite ring!!
My ring is moissanite too (I actually have 3 of them bc I change my mind so much 🤣)
@@spikeschilde621 me too!!!
Where did you get your ring from?
A marriage is so much more than a ring! I think your ring is beautiful!
I think so too! 🤗❤️
Very well said!!! 👏🏼
100 percent agree
I absolutely love mine! I have worn a 2 carat princess cut for 10 years. We couldn't afford a diamond equivalent. We bought a house instead!
Mine and my fiancé's exect senitment. We're looking to purchase a home as well vs spending so much on a wedding and ring. Congrats on the house and wonderful marriage!
Wisdom.
Wisdom all the way 💯
very good choice. a house is more important than some stone on your finger. and moissies look better than diamonds
Iam a jeweler, I think you and your husband made a very wise decision, very smart, the money you save will help you to do something else more important, congratulations, best wishes to both of you, be healthy, stay safe.
Can we wear it regularly. Will it go fade by time ?or remain same
@@neetujagdev9837you can wear it everyday no problem, no fading, nothing. Good luck!
My hubby just got me 5 carats one. It's cheaper and better. No need to worry about what others think. Diamonds don't mean shit.
Youve made the right decision to never go into debt whilst in a relationship it is not worth it. Your marriage does not revolve around a ring. Uv done amazing by opening up x
Yess!!! We are so careful with our finances and so it was the best decision for us personally 🥰
Your ring is as “real” as you make it. It’s real because it symbolizes your engagement to Jason and his to you. That’s all that matters. People will never be happy with anything, so don’t mind what anybody thinks. Your ring is your ring. Period!!
I just used the word "fake" for the title 🥰 I don't actually view it as "fake" 🙈 I love it so much and it's so special to me!
Awww thank you!!! I love it!!
People are way too darn nosey these days! It shouldn't matter & truthfully it's none of ANYONE'S business! Your marriage is more important than the ring on your finger! Just ask God😘
Haha it really shouldn’t!! But I’m happy to share and hopefully help others make decisions on their engagement rings 🥰
Tracy Camp so very very true!
Awww that sounds lovely!! A family ring is so special ❤️🥰 I love rings with alternative stones they’re so unique ❤️
Lol
It’s so true!! I was so caught up in the ring before we got engaged and now I sometimes just wear my band too 😂🥰
Right I've been with my bf going on 13 years in October got engaged last year
I have never given a second thought to the fact that my engagement ring is lab created 🤷 my husband was in college and working as a barista when he bought it and it is exactly what I wanted.
Same
Hello, hope to get an answer, is ETSY a trustable way to buy it?
Aww thank you!! That means so much to me ❤️🥰 here's to being more content and confident in all things!
Blessings!
My ring is moissanite too! Some people have been nosy or judgmental about it, but it’s still the best ring for me and I love it!
As long as you love it thats all that matters ❤️🥰
Yes girl!! So happy for you 👏🏼 furnish that new home 🙌🏼
chelsea corona Yupp.. just because you can afford it doesn’t mean it’s a wise decision..
Aww thank you!! We are really happy with our decision!!
Aww thank you!! The timing will be perfect :)
Aw thank you for watching!! Happy you got a house :)
I honestly think it’s no one’s business about your engagement ring. That’s between you and your spouse. People are so nosey....
Agreed 🥰
Omg yay!!! That makes me so happy!! You will LOVE it!! It’s even more beautiful in person 🥰🙌🏼
Why would anyone thumbs down this video! It’s HER engagement ring 💍 and it looks stunning!!🤩😍
Whoops.
Morganite is beautiful!! I think a 10 year anniversary upgrade is fun and something to look forward to 🤗❤️
I have a rose gold/morganite set! I love it so much! The stone is a softer stone, and I've already scratched mine. But no one can see it unless you know where to look. :) I'm also pretty hard on my hands.
I adore your honesty and your commitment to both your relationship and your joint financial responsibilities!
I was so anxious about my engagement ring until my husband assured me that he didn't pay more than the cost of his rent for it. After that I felt like I could actually enjoy wearing it without worrying about it.
Totally!! Far less risk in losing or damaging it!
I strongly believe when people find their purpose they dont have time to care about anyone else's business or try to stir up drama. I'm over people!
Truth!
My engagement ring is a 1.5 carat peach Morganite. Everyone has a diamond so I wanted a precious gem. You just do you boo xx
Awww oh no!! thats so sad! Happy to share other options 🥰❤️
Its beautiful 😍
Moissanite is becoming more & more popular. Celebrities wear it too . No reason at all to be ashamed wearing Moissanite
It’s a symbol of yalls love! Who cares. It is beautiful. I wish y’all the best
Ohhh I love morganite rings!! They are so pretty 🥰❤️
Loved this ❤️❤️❤️ thank you for shaping. If you can please let me know what camera you are using. The quality and you are superb !

Your Life!!! Your Ring❣ Nobody's business!! Love is all that matters🖤🤗
Awww you’re so sweet!! 🥰❤️ I love that you still love yours 🙌🏼 makes me so so happy!!
thank you for this video! honestly, some people out here with million dollar rings and then get divorced in less than two months! not about the value of the ring, but about the commitment.
Beautiful relationship doesn’t require materialistic things 😍
Absolutely!! 🤗
TRUE!!!
Yes girl! Thank you for making this video! I love that moissanite is more than just looks. It’s sustainable and affordable.
Awww thank you!!! I just used the word "fake" for the title 🥰 I don't actually view it as "fake" 🙈 Travel is way more fun too!!!
I resonate with this so much!! Rings are soooo expensive and I don't think people should be shamed when getting an alternative stone! It's ridiculous! Thanks for educating me about moissanite! I'll need to look into it!
Aww of course!! There are so many options out there 🥰
Lost my my center stone during an accident.
Your ring is gorgeous! I’m choosing moissanite as well and going for an oval cut! May I ask what your dimensions of your moissanite are?
You both did what was practical and fitting for your own personal lifestyle
👏😄👏😄👏😄
Aw thank you for your kindness 🥰❤️ I really love my ring and I think it’s even more beautiful that he gave it to me ❤️
