- Looks like Mrs Wig is indeed sitting on eggs! She has selected this area for her nest this season. Although the owls can nest in trees, that is only if a nest is available for them to use otherwise they nest on the ground/ banks near a riverbed. We wish the Wigs much success this season! Thank you for watching!

Hi Lady Hawk 🙋🏻♀️ This owl 🦉 will be interesting to watch! Came across a Hawk video my sister sent to me and I started crying thinking about our sweet Malala! I hope and pray that she is happy and healthy and thriving! I also pray for her to live long and strong our sweet 🌺Malala!
I also hope and pray that the injection into your hip will subside some of that pain you're having. We all care about you and your health. Please take the time to rest and recoup. Sending 💕 love and 🫂 hugs to you my dear friend. God bless. Take care. Deb🦉💜
Hi Debi - oh I miss Malala too and hope that she is thriving out there. Thank you for your prayers and concern - I really appreciate it ♥♥ hugs!!!
AWWW yes! Mrs. Wig is sporting eggies. Can't wait for some wiglets or twiglets. She's awesome with the squinted half shut eyes. All puffed up. Gorgeous girl ❣️
I hope and pray that this season will be successful and that their babies fledge. Thank you, Lady Hawk.
😍😍😍👍

Hopes and prayers for a better season this year Mr & Mrs Wig (what a charming name!!)❤️
Aww> the odds are kinda stacked against you in that location, but I believe they're not insurmountable..
Lots of love for these splendid beauties from God. 🦉💖🙏🤗🥀
Oh wow I missed Mrs. wigs a lot how cool Thank You Lady Hawk 💖💖💖
Please let the baby stay safe this time. This was so heartbreaking last time as we all got to love that little one 🥵🥵
Please, WHAT HAPPENED to the last Years Owlet? I thought it fledged!!?? Thank You!!
@@bealynn2258 the baby was seen several times wandering away from the nest and then it was just gone. Very vulnerable and no, it wasn’t yet old enough to fledge. So sad 🥵
Is there a live cam for this nest?
Awww, she looks so content. She is beautiful. Praying for a wonderful season. Thank you, Lady Hawk! ❤🙏
Oh please tell me there is a live cam I can watch! This is amazing, and I am so addicted to these feather-babies! :D
Yes you can watch at Wild Earth -they also have rewind so you can scroll back on the day's events!!
@@ladyhawk Thanks for the info, Lady Hawk! I got into Wild Earth, and I see the live cam...but not sure how to find Mrs. Wiz!
@@CozyFanatic The guides travel around daily so we never know where they will see the Wigs. It is best to scroll back on the recorded stream. If I catch coverage I will do a video ♥
@@ladyhawk Awesome and thank you! ❤
Really best to see your videos ...
She and her beautiful nest ..
..really looking happy...gargious....great asset of nature and birds world...Thanks a lot LH🙂🙏
What a beautiful sight to behold is Mrs Wig gracefully sitting on her nest. 🥰🥰 Sending all my love, positive thoughts, good vibes, fervent prayers and blessings for a successful season to Mrs and Mr Wig. 🙏🥚🌱🐣🙏 God bless and protect this precious owl family. 🙏🙏 Thank you so much for this beautiful video, Lady Hawk. Love and blessings to you and everyone here. 💙🙏🌺🥰🤗🙏💕🦉💕🙏🥚🙏🌅
Hello Dear Lady Hawke 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Lady Hawk,❤️ What happened to the🦉 Last Owlet Mrs Twig had?? I thought it fledged successfully!!?? Does ANYONE know please?? Thank You!! 💕 🦉
Hi Bea - last year the chick was walking around and left the nest and went down an embankment. There was a bad storm but Twiglet survived it. The next day the guides went to the nest and Twiglet was not there and we never saw her again. The risk of predation is high and she was exposed to the wildlife sadly. Mrs and Mr Wig left the area too - knowing something happened to their chick. We hope that this year their chick will be successful in fledging!
Yay I’m so eggcited 🦉🥚💕tysvm lady hawk
You have to admire how camouflaged she is! To any animal passing by Mrs. Wig looks like part of the tree and they'd likely just walk on through. She's definitely on eggs and I hope this season works out better! I think last year we never really found out what happened to her baby if I remember right. Thanks LH!💜🌙🌚SEDs
Nature's camo! Amazing!!🤩
Again?! Already?! How many clutches do they have per year?
Hi D only one clutch of eggs each year. Just like with other raptors nests, if the eggs get destroyed early on, they might re clutch.
@@ladyhawk Oh, because I thought she already had chicks this year. Or am I thinking of another owl.
@@simplycurlyde You must be thinking of another nest. Mrs Wig lays her eggs in September each year. Where you thinking of the Snowy owls??
@@ladyhawk No, I know it wasn't the snowy owls that I was thinking of, I remember them clearly. I have to keep thing about who it was, it was just a month or so ago, I remember seeing 3 owlets in a nest.
@@simplycurlyde Hmm I am not sure - I was only following these two owl nests.
❤️🦉❤️
They didn’t actually show any eggs yet…
What would be wrong with trying to put up a nest box or artificial nest for mr & Mrs Wig? Wouldn’t this help them be more successful?
I think that would not be an option as Mrs Wig has already laid her eggs here in this particular nest.
It's up to mother nature now.. 🙏😘
Hi Jayme - the guides here in South Africa do not interfere with nature at all. They just observe and provide the cam as an educational tool. They don't build any nest boxes or help out with injured wildlife - it is all raw nature we are watching here. I would love for Mrs Wig to nest in a tree rather than on the ground but this is what she has chosen for her nest so we hope for the best ♥
@@ladyhawk So succinctly shared Lady Hawk. It tugs @our heartstrings though. 😔❣️
Thank you Lady Hawk...
How did Mrs Wig get her cute name?
