The side streets look old and dirty, everything is extremely expensive, "les parisiens" aren't exactly friendly, and the city is crowded with all kind of hoodlums from Algeria and Morocco, and they are very aggressive douchebags. But if you really wanna go, hey mate just go for it and keep your dream up! :)
Wow all the clichés about paris in one post. Every times i've been there the streets were everything but dirty, compared to London for example. Well it's still a major city, not a theme park, so people there are usually busy, not the most friendly in the world but it'd never bothered me.
