I like Narumi and Akari. Narumi fits more given the situation. It'd show Naruto that they weren't forgetting him or replacing him. I hope he also starts to realize that the timing of it all was accidental because he knows his parents.
Akari could actually be very powerful, maybe combining both Flying Raijin and Adamantine Chains to make a lethal jutsu that literally just instantly cuts people in half by teleporting behind an opponent and severs them in two with the chains (Kind of like Obito).

He's under genjutsu during one of his lowest times, so it makes sense that he gives up. However, am sure he will be able to break it once he meets his friends and family again.
