#17.5 #blinky #motors
These days I practice 98% and race 2%. I mainly focus on clean driving lines, throttle/brake control with both my practice and race motors. what I find is that my overall lap times are more consistant with my practice/less expensive motors, but more often than not, my fastest single lap is usually with my race motors. It is absolutely possible to be up front with less expensive motors in a well rehearsed hand. Love your videos, thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Yes, combo of driver and equipment. At lower level driving skill shines, at higher level where drivers are very skilled is when the better equipment shines.
Hi, thanks for this video. If you will be asked now, for year 2023, which is the best 21.5 motor? Here in the US, R1 works, Reds, Trinity are still popular. I would like to hear from you, which brand and particular motor if the track is small to medium size?
Over here we use the cheaper Surpass brand of motor. But you cannot go wrong with a $175 Trinity :D
Can you do a 17.5 motor test for current motors in 2023? Even from last year i wouldnt mind
Sorry been running modified lately no 17.5T motors to test :)
@@rccartips what mod motors are you liking?
i have been running trinity motors since 1985 .. they are great motors ....but there are quite a few really good motors out these days, i personally like tekin and the trinity/revtech motors.
They are already pushing the limit on stator resistance. High torque rotors, sensor alignment, lightweight... gap is pretty much the same :)
Hey there buddy.....I absolutely love your videos you are a great help and inspiration your videos should have so much more views......I'm just starting off in the world.of touring rc I'm currently building my sakura ultimate 2014 I'm stuck on what turn motor I should get could you please advise? What's the difference between a 10.5t motor and a 17.5t motor acceleration and top speed wise?
Thanks for the kind words. Depends on your track, if it is around 100 x 60 feet then a 17.5 is more than enough.
@@rccartips Thank you that sounds about rite.....So I dont want to go lower in motor turn as in I will have more top speed that I wont be able to use and less acceleration is this correct?
I'm not so sure that higher turns have more torque/acceleration. I think overall a lower turn motor always has more power whether for acceleration or top speed.
Lol Power!!! That’s what Jeramy fragrance says lol💪💪
These motors are meant for ROAR certified legal racing right? Not too powerful and brutal but they are efficient and safe right?
Yes, but these were from 2018. there are newer and better motors by now.
Can you do a vid about motor timing or turbo boost
All about power
This is an old vid. When did you get into crawlers? I race 1/10 at my local track
Never really got into crawlers except to watch them. I race 21.5T onroad blinky.
Do you have a TRAXXAS slash 4x4?
Can you please show a video selecting a good motor for it? I find the brushed motor runs hot, FDR is 16.3 , I using an 48p 86 spur/ 22 pinion, stock 12t 550 comes with 8.4v battery
Sorry I don't have a slash, I have no clue :)
… when it comes to traxxas the majority of ppl don’t want to entertain the subject with the brand bcs traxxas owners end up dumping more money than what’s normal in order to get it to do what other better brands do. So……. Anyway these motors are NOT the ones you want to use as an upgrade. These motors are ONLY considered for “safe” and “average” performance for professional rc racing. These motors are not as high performance as you think bcs ROAR does not want rc cars to go flying in the air off the tracks and landing on ppl watching from the bleachers. These motors are very efficient and don’t consume a lot of power and runs cold. It’s meant to allow rc drivers to complete multiple laps and nothing over heats and catches fire during the race.
Other motors that come on the RTR kits are faster and stronger motors bcs consumers will be running the rc car outdoors and NOT in a professional race where rc drivers need a million dollar insurance policy to race and participate. That’s why ROAR will only insure “safe” rc cars. This is
“stock modified” motors basically.
I use a hirosrka motor in my t5m 7.5
What is FDR? Not into circuit racing I'm into 132ft dragracing
Racing Rivals Final Drive Ratio
@@edwinsantiago7639 ohh i knew that;) thanks for your response
What do you think about the Rocket motors
If you mean Surpass, yes I like them and is what I use at the moment for 21.5T, both the V4 and V5.
@@rccartips do you prefer v4s or v5r ?
what about car setup?? Its the devil in the details!
oh and by the way, I like my surpass V4's
Setup is a whole topic in itself, maybe once I get a good feel between difference of a new tire setup and old tire setup I will make a video about it. :)
What about alien ware
Have not seen anyone use it in my area, I have no idea unfortunately.
East or West FANTOM is the best
If Fantom lipo I agree :D
pinoy
Why not simply test it and cut blá blá blá ???
I have tested and the blah blah is to help those of different skill levels and budget decide on what is best for them. If money is no object, then Trinity. But newbies would also do very well with the cheap surpass $35. Plus more blah blah on blinky timing and gearing. Cheers!
I like what you said at 1:00
