Erik. You have the best shooting interviews on UA-cam. I also watched the one with Taite and that one was not only informative but hilarious! Lots of great free info in your interviews of top names in the sport. Much appreciated. And congrats to Lindsey. Shows how these days so many women are excellent at the shooting sports. Thanks again!
Congratulations Lindsey. A very impressive lady who knows her stuff. The time element would be the toughest component of ELR. Your spotter is critical and the communication is everything. Thanks for sharing Erik.
great interview. great job lindsey.......... always great to see new faces succeed.......... even better in a male dominated environment... best of luck next year !!!
Such a phenomenal accomplishment Lindsey! God bless you and may He provide more improvements and awesome accomplishments in long distance rifle shooting discipline!
Your not a Queen Lindsey , your a Goddess to any guy that shoots and wish they had a missus that was interested in the shooting deal ( well until you kick their asses lol ) Awesome work mate and cheers from OZ
I reload for a 408 that my Uncle owns and shoots. I can fully relate to the comment that the powder measure just runs and pours out money. My load is 131 grains of retumbo, And I can't imagine Paul Philips shooting 200+ grains
Hey Erik WOW Congratulations Lindsey what an awesome achievement that is to be able to shoot 2 miles it’s hard for me to imagine what it takes , you must have a special talent with wind reading at that distance the variables would be huge , another great interview Erik thank you . Aussie Steve .
There are two women at my club that consistently beat and sometimes win the monthly service rifle match at my club. Hell my mother is a better shot than me with a handgun. I also have a buddy whose wife kicks all our butts during deer season. So congratulations to Lindsey and all the other women out there taking shooting sports to the next level🇺🇲
Lindsey, that was an incredible achievement. For the record (Lindsey and @Erik Cortina) visualization in sports isn’t woo at all. I teach psych for a living; visualizing is used extensively in aerobatic flying, motorsports, downhill skiing…there’s a video of the Blue Angels chair flying a routine with their eyes closed on here somewhere, and videos of world aerobatic champions “walking” their routines on the ground before they get in the plane. Maybe there’s some room for sports psychologists to start helping some shooters 😜
Congrats to the Queen!!! Excellent shooting little lady! I would love to watch this on tv. Was this recorded for video at all? I’ve seen the Ko2M from 2018 a hundred times…. Love watching this stuff.
She was not using a tuner on the rifle she used. I am unsure if they plan on using them ever for ELR, but we definitely recommend tuners on other builds and use them for .22 ELR. I was the Senior Machinist at Alamo Precision Rifles that had the pleasure of chambering Lindsey’s and Robert’s barrels.
@@wilfdarr So the barrels that they are using in ELR are so thick and rigid that you would need a inconveniently large tuner to be heavy enough to make harmonic changes. Dave (the head gunsmith) said they tried developing one, however it didn’t help much even though it was twice the size of an EC tuner.
@@Kpa1983 do you know of any place in Århus or Aalborg where i can get lapua or norma bullets? I sail there all the time and was wanting to pick some up since we are all dried up in Iceland until January.
ELR is still a very small crowd because it is hard to find a good place to shoot and it is an expensive sport. You're still a pretty cool cat if you shoot 1,000 which can be done fairly easily with factory rifles, factory ammo and an OK scope (to get on target and shoot reasonable groups, not compete) for probably 1/4 the cost of entry compared to a big boomer that can reach 2,500+ yards (to get on target and make some hits, competing requires development, practice, spotting optics, travel, etc.).
Great interview and an inspiration to all who want to pursue ELR. My wife and 3 of my 5 daughters are all wanting 375's now. Each....😳
Good job Lindsey, that was a hell of a run from behind to catch up to me. Well deserved. Next year its on!!!!!! LOL
Sportsmanship like this is one of the reasons I love the shooting sports. Great job Ryan!
I don't usually comment but that little gal is so down to earth and it's just awesome that she won congrats to her and her team mate

Firstly congratulations to Lindsey on her win. And thanks Erik for a great job. Man I can’t even imagine shooting 2 miles

Congratulations Lindsey .....
Amazing interview
Stoked for you to get into ELR that’s what I’ve been pursuing and why I started watching your reloading videos.
Great interview!
very good interview..exactly the way to do it ... well done
Fascinating!
Eric, you need to get into the 2 mile competition to get over your fear and anxiety!!! Push yourself to greatness!!! You will do great at it.💯🤙

this has been the most informative episode yet. it's like I was there. maybe some day.I hope there was coverage or video of this years 2 mile

damn, she is so personable . And she can shoot, too.

Wonderful!
These questions near the end of the conversation, all makes sense now Erik. Sounds like we are gonna be seeing Erik and Jason become an ELR team.
What an awesome woman!

Amazing!!
I’m glad she won! She looks easy to carry. I’d hate to have to hoist up some of those big boys.
Congrats to the Queen!!! Excellent shooting little lady!

Is there any video on youtube of her shooting the 2 Mile Match?
Congrats! What kind of log book or notebook do you use?
When you asked about Bryan Litz I thought the next question for her would be if she uses a tuner.
Missed opportunity 😉 Still, great interview!

@@zambato9965 Wow! Great job! Could you explain the theory why they are so popular in F class, but people aren't using them in ELR?

@@zambato9965 Oh, ya that makes sense. Thanks.
Awesome
They need to simplify the scoring process. I’ve looked at it. It’s ridiculous.
If the other shooters actually showed up wearing dresses, she be laughing so hard she'd never get a shot off.
Would be interested in knowing where to shoot 2 miles
in boris, denmark. there is a 3200m range. probably the only one in europe with that range
Where do you live? There are many places in the us.
@@Kpa1983 yep thats a little far for me in Texas 🙃

@@TheMrkiddi No sorry i am from Germany. Its a 4 hour drive to Boris for me
Why .375 vs .408 Chytac for ELR?
What I've been told is lack of quality. 408 bullets!
Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. i'm going back to John Garand matches...
Sounds like if you aren't part of the in crowd you aren't shooting ELR...

2 miles=3520
Thanks so much for pointing that out. I’m pretty good at mixing up numbers and I guess nerves got the best of me.
