Are the flashing lights on purpose ? or just a video editing side effect ? if on purpose, how ?
Yeah it's intentional and the car was modified to do that. There are kits you can buy that'll flash/strobe the lights in different patterns, for example "i-Burner Spark Lights" from Blitz does more or less what you see in the video. Though it's usually meant only for off-road/track/show use
I think it’s like the LED system checking on itself so that it knows it’s working properly or sum, like a systems check

actually its a failure, because those are led lights,so they start blinking a few times and i think theres a check light in the bc too
@@softairferak It isn't a failure, the car is sending voltage to the led light for test...
Bimmer just learned that in a tutorial and the exact reason is that that car used to have halogen lights which need a higher voltage than the led and xenon lights it has now and by the test that the car does the LEDS illuminate because it need less voltage

Great production value first off!I awesome video, love everythin about the car but is it just me or are strobelights on cars are just overkill anymore? I like led and lightshows are cool but..maybe its flashbacks (popo-nono lol) or maybe its some deep, glitch in my brain tissue that wants to do the 'big bad' for tf of it haha.
The strobe effect happens on e39s when the regular filament lightbulbs are changed out with leds i had to get navcoder program to turn the light bulb checker function off to keep it from doing the flashing/strobing effect This happens because the car sends out small pulses of power to check if the lightbulbs are burnt out these pulses are not long enough for a regular Filament lightbulb to Light up but it is for leds
