If you are convicted of sin, you are IN SIN. If you are IN SIN you are not IN CHRIST. You cannot be IN CHRIST and IN SIN for IN CHRIST there is NO SIN. If you are not IN CHRIST, you are a son of the devil. Therefore: if you are convicted of sin it can only be because you are dead to Christ. But if you are IN CHRIST: you are DEAD to sin. ____________ Simple summary: if you are convicted of sin it is because you are guilty of sin and do not believe that Jesus was guilty for your sin.
***** HAHAHAHAHAHA God has been slowly removing sin from your life over past 49 years? Hebrews 10:26 There remains no more sacrifice for those who continue to sin AFTER having the knowledge of the truth. Seems to me you have believed in the false gospel of lasciviousness which has justified your continued life of sin. 1 John 3:9 Whoever is born of God DOES NOT SIN for he CANNOT SIN. 1 John 3:8 Whoever sins is of his father the devil who was a sinner since the beginning. But of course if you want to continue trampling the blood of Christ and continue ignoring the conviction of the Spirit of Christ----then continue on your broad path to destruction. Know that if God forgave your sin He remembers your sins no more and neither will His Spirit remind you. Hebrews 8:12 "For I will forgive their sins and remember them NO MORE". And as Paul says in Acts 23:1 "I have lived with an ALL GOOD conscience to this day"---meaning Paul was not convicted of sin because Paul was not in sin but rather IN CHRIST. Because you cannot be in sin and in Christ. Either you are in Christ and DEAD to sin or you are in sin and dead to Christ. But in your case obviously you are being convicted for a reason. Perhaps its because your works are SIN rather than RIGHTEOUSNESS and LIGHT. Check out my youtube channel called "Grace is my Good Works" to hear more about the GOSPEL which has reconciled us with God and provided each believer with PERFECT WORKS so that every believer may be equipped with an ALL GOOD CONSCIENCE rather than a defiled and unbelieving conscience.
Amen Rean Ring! Some Christians are legalistic. They believe more in religious ritual. I believe that God chose me and accepted me even as I was a sinner. I believe that even though I fail Him every day He still loves me in spite of my imperfections. I'm soooo glad I don't need to please man! If I had to then I would never be enough. God is good God is kind God is merciful God is just God is loving and God is demanding. I understand the cross and what was done for me. And I thank God He will judge me. Not men who require perfection and standards so high that not even they achieve them. When the church stops pointing their fingers at each others flaws then we can do what we were sent to do and preach to the nations. The city on the hill is divided and we argue over small things when our central theme should be Christ! We were not sent to judge or to condemn. Our only job is to spread the good news and the message of Jesus! He's coming!!
Isaiah Urias God is PERFECT and God only accepts PERFECT WORKS. Revelation 3:2 says "repent for I have not found your WORKS PERFECT before God". So if your works are not perfect, you have never repented and remain in your sins. But if you have repented of all your works and believe the Good News that God has provided the Good Works as a Free Gift on the cross---then your works are always eternally completely perfect because JESUS is your perfect works. God commands "Be PERFECT as your heavenly father is PERFECT". You make one mistake Isaiah in your statement. You assume Christians desire perfection and judge unless you're perfect---the opposite is true. Every Christian church teaches their members to continue living in sin rather than putting on CHRIST, rather than being completely PERFECT as GOD is PERFECT. I preach the Good News that all who believe that God has provided the Good Works----are PERFECT as GOD IS PERFECT. Afterall, when God sees you, does he not see you as PERFECT? That is because He sees Christ, your perfect works, your perfect covering.
GRACE is my GOOD WORKS funny, you're going against jesus word right now, being so judgemental and rude while trying to preach the word of god, You're supposed to be the exact opposite. Also it says those won't have to sacrifice You're leaving out big chunks of the bible and taking text out of context, which you should never do. you forget to mention. or maybe you forgot how forgiving our Lord is, and how it describes it in scripture. yes, those who repent should not be sinning anymore, those who accept the holy spirit should not be sinning, but for those that do, you ask for reptenance. God is perfection, his laws are perfection and those who deny their sin are liars toward god, yourself included. anytime you swear, anytime you think hateful things towards someone, you're sinning, as Jesus adressed in the mount. So you can cool your jets, and go repent. anyone who says they no longer sin, are either liars, they're in denial, or they don't even know that they're sinning.
Dev n So you're saying I need to have the perfect amount of sin. If i have too little sin, then according to 1 John 1:8 I'm a liar for claiming I'm without sin. But if I have too much sin or I make a practice of sin then according to Hebrews 10:26 there no longer remains any sacrifice for my sin. Thank you! I will sin just the right amount to be safe!
I love Louie, but he has it wrong on sexuality. when will pastors finally acknowledge that the desire for sex and romantic love is natural and critical at that age, and wanting a partner who loves you is good. maybe there are helpful and less helpful ways to go about it, but focusing on sex as sin and failing God, as if it's the worst sin too - what about greed or hate or selfishness these kids are stuffing with? why is that never the Big Sin? ad when will pastors acknowledge the real struggle and not just make people feel shame?
Laurie Jean sin is sin no matter what it is the Word of God says that there is no sin greater than another!! Sexual immortality is against the word of God. Sex was made for a husband and wife. Remember our bodies are not or own. Those thoughts should be given to God so that he can deliver that person from that sin!!
Laurie Jean when you are not married and having sex, it's when it's wrong or lusting after someone...the Bible talks about what's right and wrong about sex...yes it's natural because God made it but it is to be used in the confines of a marriage between a man and a woman at that. When you take it outside of that, God calls it be sexually immoral.
I remember seeing you years ago at 7:22. So glad to see you are still working for the lord
Praise God for the few Godly men and women still preaching the truth of God's Word.
