    I've loved watching his career develop. I remember how big he was here in Virginia when he was balling out at ODU. I tried to follow him, and every time I saw him play in the league I saw flashes of brilliance. Then last December, I got an NFL app notification saying that we had just signed him, and was hoping that he got to see the field at some point. When Haskins imploded against Carolina, I saw him go in prepared. And if not for an Offensive PI call on a TD, we would've gone to OT and potentially won that game. Then, everyone wrote us off against Tampa with him, but I kept saying he might give us a better chance of winning and then he proved it, slinging the ball around. After it was over we resigned him, and I've enjoyed watching clips of him at OTAs. He could come in this season and do this again

    I feel like he will take over the starting position over Fitzpatrick, and surprise everyone this year ala romo 2006

      @Ryan Alex Smith had 5 good games. Heinicke won 0 games. Doesn't sound like he had a good game at all

    • @theboothy91
      @theboothy91 3 роки тому

      @Ryan how is that stupid thinking if you win that's a good game. A win is a win and heinicke didn't produce one. Smith came in and brought the team to the playoffs. Heinicke played well but didn't win. I look at wins not oh looks like he did great in his one game that was a loss. That's loser thinking you have to look at it like who will get the most wins and heinicke ain't it this year, next year definitely

      @@theboothy91 a QB can have a good game and still lose. The wins and loss are on the team not the player. Heinicke or any QB could go say 19-20 240 yds3TD's, 0 INT and still lose, that would be a great by the QB but a bad game for the team. By your reasoning that would be a bad game because the TEAM lost, makes no sense at all. Hell some QB's have had bad games and still won, and not one outside of you would say was a good game. That is some straight up stupidity right there and the most idiotic thing I've read in months.

      @@theboothy91 my guy does that make carr, cousins, and Stafford bad because their teams didnt win a lot? No it doesn't they are all top 15 quarterbacks and Stafford is definitely a top 10. While it's true we have barely seen heinicke play the few times we have seen him on the field he has shown he has a good amount of potential, the fact he did that good against the defense that stopped 2 top 3 offenses in the same playoff run means more than 5 wins. But hey that's just me

    If I am not mistaken, after the very good game he played against Tampa Bay in the playoffs last year, Tom Brady didn't bother to go over and shake hands. If you have video of that greeting, please share it. All that aside, this is the best player I have seen at quarterback in burgundy and gold since Sonny's prime days. I love the kid. He is a real storybook quarterback.

    This guys a great backup. A great backup should avoid risky throws that lead to interceptions, and ideally is a dual threat to spread the defense thin.

    The most impressive play is the 3rd where you see him go through all his reads and not force the ball while fighting for a roster spot
