Ro. Yolanda uses SO much fondant and stuff like gum paste, it seems her cakes are barely edible. I once tried edible fondant, it tasted disgusting, and the entire cake in the video was about 20% cake and 80% fondant. same with her other cakes. ro mostly uses icing.
kittykatkool yeah but yo is so much more professional and pays attention to detail and perfection. although you're right about the amount of fondant. but i don't think it's fair to compare them because yo is so much more professional (i love rosanna too)

Yolanda uses fondant a lot yes but the fondant she uses taste good i've tried her cakes and it taste good the fondant is not gross so Yolanda is better than Ro for me

Gumpaste tastes sweet! It's mostly made of sugar.
However unlike fondant it dries to a much harder and firmer texture so it's great for making something that needs to maintain it's shape (like the lettuce).
And YES, of course gum paste and fondant are edible (((:

I love your videos and you were the first big time utube cake maker that Wilton had not bought out your image and then I seen this and I said to my son " I knew it was a matter of time that Wilton used her image to sell products just like they did Nerdy Nummies" But I don't blame them because you really did a great job showing off your talents and their products!! I now know about the Wilton Color system and how to use the exact number of drops to make the exact color I want! Your talented and a major National company seen that as well. Proud of you!!! I am gonna try this for my son but I watch videos and my cakes NEVER come out like yours. My cakes fall apart and its a mess. I dont know how you make it look so damn easy...
