    It's nice to see another blue ridge coral. I've had mine for about 12 years now and it is a coral I rarely ever see or hear about. Mine has some stories for sure over that time.

    2nd. Your mandarins beautiful! I want to get a pair from biota. I’m going to wait until I upgrade the tank. Thank you all that you do for the hobby.

    Beautiful tank, Marc! Have you by chance kept track of those mini carpet anemones you kept in the bow front tank years and years ago? I believe you had a a unique species as yours split whereas normal maxi minis do not. Love this tank!

    Must be a seasonal thing with the PJ cardinal. I am in West Texas and mine is holding a clutch of eggs also. I am guessing it’s a sign of a healthy tank.

      Well-fed, to be sure. When these fish carry eggs, they can't eat for a while.

    When did you add the Japanese pigmy/interruptus in the 400g reef? Did I miss that video?

      It’s still in the 27g, it’s about 2” long I’d guess.

    So many write they struggle to feed the butterfly fish, so I have stayed away from them so far. You seems to have succes with them :-)

      Copperbands are not easy at all. When I shop for one, I ask to see it eat in the store. And if I buy it, I buy the exact food as well since the fish has taken to it. I've kept CBBs successfully twice, but there were a few that simply didn't make it no matter how hard I tried.

    So beautiful. Once the lights are off does the flow pattern change with the wave makers?

    • @melevsreef
      @melevsreef  6 місяців тому

      Over a 24 hour period, the Vortechs going through four different patterns, but it's not really directly related to the lighting.

    love your tanks look, i’ve been thinking of trying a daylight tank with macros and leathers because i’m not much for the super strong blues however yours isn’t like that and still have sps that look incredible. what is your light schedule this look is perfect
