Kudos to the LDP staff from my road trip (versus the Giants). Everyone was friendly and we had fun conversations with folks sitting nearby. The valet parking was awesome - smooth as silk. Thanks, especially, to Mr. Fratalli in the Marlins ticket office for going the extra mile for us.
Excellent episode and always great to get some perspective from the UK GOAT! Appreciate that you both always provide honest and sober assessments. The morbid curiosity of seeing how low this team can sink might, currently, be the only compelling reason to watch them. Thanks for soldiering on with the podcast and providing some group therapy for the fans. If I begin watching the Premier League perhaps I'll follow Sheffield United as I'd be best able to commiserate, empathize and relate with their fans.
Peter is right about the time commitment. There's nothing I'd rather watch than baseball, though. I am one of those Shaun mentioned who is also checking out more MiLB.
I'm just pissed off for all the gaslighting we get from this front office & their hired media like Sielaff. Shaun may be conservative on a 100 loss season. I think they could challenge the 43 win 2003 Detroit Tigers
You aren't going to get a haul of anything for any Marlins player in the current lineup. Even Arraez with his average won't bring much and he is the only player worth anything.
Trading Jazz makes the Marlins just a logo on a hat to me again. Last season and Sandy's year made me care about baseball again as an adult. I just went to my first MLB game this season(Yankee stadium) and Ive been attending minor leagues the last few seasons. I know this season is a lost cause but getting rid of the most charismatic player we have is a mistake.
@joelpanettaonline he makes people from out of market check in. That is very valuable, I would think. I like Jesus sanchez so I will check but who else? Who are u looking for? It's rough
I've been defending this team for over a decade, thought last year was finally the sign of progress we'd been waiting for. Then *boom* 5 year plan again. FRO Bendix.
@@joelpanettaonlineyou put jazz in a good lineup and he’ll be a perennial allstar, best example I can give you is switch Harris from the Braves for jazz and watch jazz look like an allstar and Micheal Harris would be cheeks with us because of how atrocious our lineup is. Jazz is a spark plug player but on our team he’s the superstar can’t ask for superstar production from a guy who was never expected to be one
By the trade deadline, Bendix should trade Jazz, Arraez, and any other player who generates interest. Marlins are 3-5 years from serious contention. Everybody on the field will be gone by then. Pitching is good (though currently broken), but run production has been bottom five for years. If the plan is to revise the hitting line-up with talented, cheap, controllable, minor-league call-ups; years of drafts and trades await.
From the get go this FO wanted to blow up MIA & start all over. They made no attempt to put together a competitive team this off-season. Good luck MIA!
They need to trade Jazz...I am turning on him as a talent and a part of a team that needs leadership...he is too much work for a .250 average, low homeruns, low OPS, low OBP and low RBI player...trade him for a couple of prospects and maybe a savy vet

Glad this accursed April is over. Come, sweet May, and get us some wins and the Burgermeister back!

They are on pace to lose well over 100 games. This could possibly end up the worst team in franchise history.
He is a sub .250 hitter. Arraez is the best and most consistent hitter on the team.
Arraez doesn't create runs; Jazz does
Shaun is right - the relievers were great last year, but are notoriously fickle. Best to Tanner Scott wherever he lands.
Relievers are almost impossible to predict outside of Mo Rivera aka the GOAT
@@aaronchapman3That's true. He was so good and consistent for so long.
At this point you have to trade him and Luzardo but only for a good haul of prospects. The team with this owner isn't going anywhere.

Will give u Mike trout for jazz and some pitchers prospects

Charisma doesn't lead to wins. He is a career sub .250 hitter that shows signs of flash.
@@joelpanettaonline Agreed but there has to be some value in a marketable face of ones franchise.

Jazz is paid like a collegiate player under the table. The pitching sucks. Jazz is not an issue on the negative side. He has excellent speed and power
Jazz is definitely not the best anything on this team. Too inconsistent
Jump on Threads please. A lot of people have dumped Twitter.
Best hitter? He is at .230. It is sickening how overrated this guy is.
