I’d the same problem with the irons. I changed my 5 and 6 iron to a more game improvement iron not by much but it was easier to hit. It completely sorted the issue and now the 5 iron is my favourite club in the bag.
Enjoyed the content like a before & after the lessons⛳️ Swing looks smooth with nice tempo ⛳️ Personally I took out the 4/5 irons put 4/5 hybrids in the bag works for me. Yardages look great on your irons but sure with some pro tips your yardages on your woods will definitely increase ⛳️ All The Best⛳️
In the exact same position myself Conor 14 handicap trying to get to single figures! Padraig Harrington famously said he could get any golfer to single figures would love to see him work with you! Best of luck ☘️
Just swing free, (not for the fences) and you have good natural talent, and some little fixes and you will be doing great! Excited for the PGA Championship vid whenever that comes out
Good luck, believe this is achievable. Short game is king - the easiest way to reduce your handicap quickly. You need less than 30 putts per round. Need to be able to scramble when you are not on. With your wedges I think of them as scalpels, I rarely hit them hard. I'm off 4
What clubs do you have in your bag? You may need more help on 4-6 irons ie hybrids (I only go 5 iron and even that is pushing it) cause guessing you're not launching them high enough Also check your attack angles for irons due to varying distances
get a couple of different lofted hybrids to bridge the inconsistent gapping around your low irons. Practice dialling in your chipping from 75 in and you'll be a single handicapper in no time.
Watch the video, your turn with your 7 iron swings were money, your finish was perfect, balanced on the lead side with knees together torso facing the target. All that made for better strike leading to efficient distance. If you are in NY you should head to Southshore Golf in Oakdale and see Rich Hofer, he’d get you sorted in no time!!
Super duper hitting Conor - are you moving the ball up towards your left foot the longer the club? Maybe you are but from this angle it looks like you are hitting them all from the middle of your stance??
I am 14 h'cap and have exact same problem with variance in yardages...it's a killer when you work off your avaerages and then smoke one completely over the back of the green 😂
Get rid of your 6,5,&4 irons and your 3wood and replace with super game improvement irons ie the TM Stealths. Wilson Launch pads or Cleaveland Launchers put 8iron shaft lengths in them all or alternatively go down the 5,7,9,11 wood route or the 8,7,6,5,4 hybrid route whichever suits you best make the game easier its hard enough
Ball striking is not consistent man. That's why the yardages are so different. On the course play your worst yardages and add 5 yards. As a general guide.
I don't get it. The nine iron last shot you increased swing speed fell back and was hyped about extra yardage. Same "on course" swing speed with all clubs, if your first shot was shorter than you hoped don't put more effort in, it is what it is. It's a stock yardage for your stock shot, don't search for extra distance. Long iron tip, get a higher lofted hybrid, you hit them well, carry a 23⁰ and a 19⁰ or whatever fits your current set up.
You sound predetermine you are not going to hit the clubs well. Then you are not. Does not mater who teaches you to swing. It is the up stairs department you have to figure out.
Get outside and on the grass. Hit the "range balls". You'll find the distances will be about half, on average. Sort of a reality check. You are swinging way too hard, trying for artificial distance. Throw away that Pac Man attitude, take some lessons from a PGA pro, and practice, practice, practice. Cheers

I'm interested in getting an in-home simulator. May I ask, what kind is yours?

You'll have to do a What's in the bag video and then at the end of the year do a recap to see what's different.

agree with others: ditch the 4 and 5 and replace with hybrids

Amen 🤣

You slow down on your 6,5 and 4 irons - you arent commiting. You need to be comfortable missing big for a while but commiting to every shot
