Thank you Cassiy! I want to share with you guys that I made my first sale yesterday! Yayyyy🎉 (my first sale from a stranger not family related) I was so happy I just hope to continue selling and I want you to know That I wouldn’t have done it without your help thank you so so much
So happy for you may continued blessings come to you!! If you don’t mind me asking did you have a family or friend buy from you first? Or was the stranger a first sale?
@@TarotForYou-vt6ns Thank you soo much! My first sale was my boyfriend he bought something for his mom, after that I just kept on listing and yesterday I received the notification of that sale. I actually live in the US and the purchase was made in Canada! Soo exciting!
@@TarotForYou-vt6ns A LOT I literally went all out, I have 510 listings. In the video Cassiy made for getting ready for Q4 she mentioned to have 500 listings by the end of October and that’s what I did. That's AWESOME Falohop!! Congrats!! I haven't made a sale yet but just yesterday someone emailed me about a shirt so that was a little good news. I'm trying to get 500 by end of October too. Hello Cassiy and thank you so much for your UA-cam channel, you bringing so much information and clarity to all of us! And here I have a question! :) what is your opinion, is it too late to just get started with Christmas theme in November? Just decided to open a shop and give it a try, but thinking that it might be too late to start trying to catch up with Christmas in November
Hi Polli! I'm so glad you're enjoying my channel! I actually recommend making Christmas listings through black friday, so there's time! And depending on what you already have listed, plenty of people buy non-Christmas themed shirts as Christmas gifts. I hope that makes sense! Wishing you all the best!
@@CassiyJohnson thank you for reply! I actually just starting here, I’m just opening a shop, but I have a lot inspiration and motivation, a lot thanks to you!♥️ was just wondering, if it make sense to start selling Christmas stuff in November, especially for a new store
Hi Cassiy , are we allowed to use the words Comfort Colors in our titles, tags and description if it is a copyrighted name? - Thank you for all of your amazing content!
Awesome video. A lot of, if not most, pod is dtg and most dtg machines have a print width limit of 12 inches without the purchase of an oversized platen. Pretty sure that's why your 13+ inch request are being resized below 12" in width. Thank you for the video...
I did cover this and ordered samples for three shirts in my video "the 5 things I wish I knew before using Printify" , definitely go check it out if you are interested!
Thank you Cassiy for the informative video! I love these tees - especially in a sage color. From your experience over the last few years - do t-shirts sell well around Christmas - or is it usually sweatshirts? Thanks again - I love your videos - I haven't had my first sale yet - but learning so much!
I sell more sweatshirts for single items around the holidays but group matching family shirts sell ridiculously well! Best of luck and congrats on getting started!!
Hey Cassiy! Can we use Comfort colors in the description of our Etsy listing??? I know it is trademarked but we have to let our customers know what is the shirt we are printing on. Thank you in advance!
This is great information, thanks! Would you be able to make a video explaining tax time with POD business? Does Etsy send a W2? I’m really close to getting started I just keep thinking about stuff like that and get overwhelmed with how to keep track of my finances. I know we’d have to end up paying tax I’m sure
Thanks Cassiy for reviewing these shirts. It's seems that everyone want them right now 😆 However, those printing colors that came out slightly different on the shirts might be a deal of an issue 🤔
Hi! :) love your videos!!! do you buy a sample of every product you sell before listing it? Do you have any tips on how to ensure the print will 95% of the time come out good for the customer without having to purchase a sample every time? At the moment I can’t exactly afford purchasing a sample of every listing but don’t want that to hold me back from listing as much as I can.
Thank you so much, Cassiy! I don’t know how I would be doing Etsy without your videos. Could you do one where you explain the best way to send proofs (or different options when things are out of stock) to your customers? Apologies if you’ve already done this.
Hi Cassiy! Your videos have been SO helpful. Thanks for all you're doing. Could you make a video about what to do on Printify if there are delays in production or shipping? I'm a bit worried about this with the holidays coming up! :)
Thanks so much, Cassiy. But I'm a bit confused. In an earlier video you recommended only using three colors for shirts (white, gray, black) to likely avoid stock issues. But one of your recommendations here is because of all the color choices. I've been listing in just the three colors (and also as you suggested, copying for the other two colors in each thumbnail), which has given me 136 listings. This includes the same design on the sweatshirts. I have good mockups, but everything is just those colors. Should I be expanding my color options? Should I start using red or green for the Christmas season and hope they don't go out of stock?
It's a good idea to use different colors for some holidays like Christmas, St Patricks day etc. T-shirts around the holidays don't go out of stock as bad as sweatshirts. But for my main random niches throughout the year, I stick to the basic colors.
Hi! I love your videos. I had watched a previous video that you compared the white HEX on dark sweatshirts. I’ve been using FCFCFC on my Bella Canva and Gildan. Should I use FCFCFC on Comfort Colors? Thank you!
Thank you for this and all you do! You are amazing :) I just ordered my first sample last week of the 1717 and it was fine because the design was all white. However, I'm concerned about the color changes you demonstrated from swiftPod. If I were a customer and bought a shirt advertised to be red and green but got orange and mint, I'd want a refund or reprint. After watching your video, I downloaded the exact design you used, and changed it to a CMYK profile in photoshop to see what happens, but it remained red and green. I then created a product in printify on the C1717 pepper and looked at the printify CMYK mockup which was red and green and pink - nothing like the finished product. Do you have any idea how we might gurantee that the provider will print the shirts in the color shown on the printify mockup? I'm going to hold off on selling comfort colors except for black or white designs right now until what they show us is what they can deliver.. I really appreciate you bringing this to light!
Sorry for the question but just trying to understand how printify and etsy work together? I'm new to this so any tips or information would be great to hear. Thanks
Totally understand how you feel! Etsy and Printify are connected for the order of the item only. The payments, customer service etc all goes through you and you need to communicate things between them. So customer pays etsy, etsy takes out their fees and pays you, then you pay printify the cost of the item plus the cost of shipping. Hope that helps! I also just created a free mini course to help you from a-z of opening your etsy shop, using printify and getting your first item listed in your store! Free Etsy Start Up Guide 🔥 www.cassiyjohnson.com/etsypodlaunchguide
You are amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! Is there a print supplier that offers comfort color sweatshirts? Whether it be crew or Hoodia? Again thank you for teaching us all how to be successful is this fun business model
Hi, great video Cassiy!, one question about inserting the Comfort Colors name in tags, titles and descriptions, don't you need to be authorized by the brand to do so? I ask because I'm always affraid of being penalized by Etsy or having my store shot down for copyrigth issues, can you share your thoughts? Thanks in advance!
Awesome video! Thanks for posting. I have a question. How do you show the percentage saved on a listing? I see listings that have the selling price, and then a higher price next to it with a strikethrough and showing the percentage in savings.
Would you recommend using Comfort Colors as default? Or is it on a per listing basis, or does Etsy allow for more than one material/style per listing? Thank you 🙏🏻
More awesome tips! Thanks for sharing! I got a first sale today. On Printify it says the order is on hold, should I submit order there or do something on Etsy first? And can I make it so it will automatically submit orders so I don't have to manually do that to speed up the process once more sales start coming in? Thanks so much for your help!
Yay congrats on your first sale!!! You can click submit order, but your account may be set to auto submit after 24 hours. Either way is fine! In your Printify settings under store preferences, there's a few options to choose from - manual, after 1 hour, after 24 hours, or at a certain time every day. I hope that was helpful! I am wishing you all the best!!
I have a question! :) First, thank you so much for your videos they are so helpful! If I edit the price of an item on Etsy, do I also need to change the price on Printify? Or will it take the Etsy price automatically and I don't need to worry what Printify says? Just wondering because I have a whole lot of items, I don't want to reupload on Etsy because then I will have to go in and change all the mockups again. Hopefully that all makes sense!
Hi Casey, thanks for the fantastic videos. I have been on Etsy for a month, selling digital art. I would like to hear your thoughts on whether I should open another shop specifically for selling T-shirts or if it's better to offer T-shirts alongside my digital art in the same store. Your insights would be much appreciated!
Hi Cassiy, I'm justing getting started in my POD Etsy shop and have a few designs listed in each the Bella and Canvas and also the Comfort Colors tee. Would I be better off just sticking with one or the other to begin? I'm worried that my customers will be confused!
Hi Cassiy, great video! Was just wondering where I would enter the Printify code to get the 1 month of free Printify Premium? Opting to upgrade seems to only bring up the fields to input my card details.
Hi Cassiy Thanks for the videos as usual I’m struggling to make profit on my POD Etsy shop.. I sold 4 jumpers the other night and made a loss.. The listing fees, transaction fee, Etsy ads (I only do $2 a day) and pricing competitively.. I can’t seem to make profit without out pricing myself … Any tips? I’m gonna look at other products, bottles, bags, hats etc because I can’t seem to make profit with sweatshirts and t shirts
Hi, In Printify, do you always have to adjust the size? I thought once you convert it from canva it is whatever size text you designed it. Also how do you know what sizing for width/height to put?
Im still a little confused about the shipping charges.. I seen you put free shipping in your Etsy listing so do you just up the cost of the shirt in Etsy to cover the shipping I assume. :)
If you want to buy blank shirts then I'd recommend finding a whole sales for blank shirts. I have never bought blanks for comfort colors but I'd check websites like jiffyshirts.com
Thank you for your helpful videos! Have you hired anyone to help you with your business at this level? Just wondering at what point that becomes necessary. I also assume it’s different for everyone
Cassiy, I wanted to purchase the CC C1717 from Samantha from MoneyMakerMockups but I don’t see C1717 under T-shirts in Printify I am confused how to match them Thank you as always
Hi Cassiy, I have a question for you, for the comfort colors t-shirts, do you offer your customers free shipping? Or do you charge shipping using printify prices?
I’ve tried both but either way you charge, it doesn’t matter what printifys shipping price is. You can charge whatever you want for shipping. You are the middle man for payments so try to think of it in total costs. So the total cost of the shirt + shipping from Printify is what you pay on your card. Then the customer pays say $30 with free shipping or $25 with $5 shipping, either way they are paying you $30. Then you keep the difference between the two
When you create a design using the color red, which is popular for a few Holidays, is it not important that the customer receives the same color that shows on the mock up? I think I would be disappointed to receive an orangey color. How would you handle the situation you described? Thanks for all your work, great videos!!
Thanks for another great video!! I heard that Drive Fulfillment won’t put the name of your store on the shipping label, only theirs. Do you know if that’s true? Thanks!
HI Cassiy! Just curious about the Creative Fabrica offer you mentioned...your link takes me ta a page for a $1 trial and $19.99/month. Is there another link for the free trial with $9.99/month offer?
I used the profit calculator for a order I received for two shirts, but It didnt match up properly. I have a few questions. Is there a way to get a hold of you by email by any chance?

@@CassiyJohnson thank you for reply! I actually just starting here, I’m just opening a shop, but I have a lot inspiration and motivation, a lot thanks to you!♥️ was just wondering, if it make sense to start selling Christmas stuff in November, especially for a new store
Thank you so much for this helpful information and the everbee link🙏🏻 hope this helps your business
College Students LOVE Comfort Colors!!!❤
I believe it!! Hope you liked this video! ❤️
Your videos are a. Always phenomenal. Always.filled with great content.
Thank you so much!! Great info and I loved seeing the samples.
Fire info Cassiy!! They are definitely popular.
I hope this video was super helpful, Suzanne!! Thanks for watching!!
Hi Cassiy! Can you do a video showing the scaling difference of the design based on different garment sizes?
I did cover this and ordered samples for three shirts in my video "the 5 things I wish I knew before using Printify" , definitely go check it out if you are interested!
Cassidy the white and the black sample you show are also comfort colors or Bella canva 3001? Sorry I am new on this , you are amazing teacher!!
Always love your videos. I've learned so much!
Such great info! Tank you for concisely laying it all out!
@@CassiyJohnson Thank you!
It's seems that everyone want them right now 😆
However, those printing colors that came out slightly different on the shirts might be a deal of an issue 🤔
It's interesting that the design size doesnt match! :O Does that happen with bella canvas 3001 too?
Hi Cassiy, thanks again! Great video. Could you recommend also a nice oversized comfort color sweatshirt?
@@CassiyJohnson Thanks, Cassiy.
Hi Cassiy! Thank you again and greetings from Amsterdam.
Hi Danielle! It is my pleasure; I hope this video had a lot of helpful info for you!!
@@CassiyJohnson Yes it did! Much appreciated. Could you also recommend an oversized comfort color sweatshirt?

@@CassiyJohnson thank you. I will take a look. thank u
VERY HELPFUL CASSIY AND THANKYOU
Thanks for the wonderful video Cassy!
do you do Ebay as well with printify??
@@CassiyJohnson thanks so much! You're the best!
Hi! I'm so glad my videos are helpful for you! This is a really common question, no you don't have to change both. The Etsy price is what matters!
Thank you! Loved this review.
I hope this was so helpful for you! Thanks for watching!! ❤️
Great video. Can you do a video on strategies to run a sale for Black Friday Cyber Monday. Thanks 👍
Hi Cassiy
Thanks for the videos as usual
I’m struggling to make profit on my POD Etsy shop.. I sold 4 jumpers the other night and made a loss..
The listing fees, transaction fee, Etsy ads (I only do $2 a day) and pricing competitively.. I can’t seem to make profit without out pricing myself …
Any tips?
I’m gonna look at other products, bottles, bags, hats etc because I can’t seem to make profit with sweatshirts and t shirts
Hi, In Printify, do you always have to adjust the size? I thought once you convert it from canva it is whatever size text you designed it. Also how do you know what sizing for width/height to put?
Some colors don’t show a print provider under details but do show color in stock…. Is that something to worry about? (Printify swiftPOD)
That just means that only Swiftpod has that color available!
Im still a little confused about the shipping charges.. I seen you put free shipping in your Etsy listing so do you just up the cost of the shirt in Etsy to cover the shipping I assume. :)
That’s a good question. I hope she answers it. Etsys policies are really rough when it comes to shipping and gift wrapping.
Yes you would just include the cost of the shipping into your total price if you do "free shipping"
Soooo helpful, you rock!
Hi! Where do you suggest to buy blank comfort color shirts? Can you buy them through printfiy?
How do we get them at the price u showed..
If you want to buy blank shirts then I'd recommend finding a whole sales for blank shirts. I have never bought blanks for comfort colors but I'd check websites like jiffyshirts.com
Thanks Cassiy good information 👍🏻
I hope this was so helpful for you!! Thanks for watching! 😊
Thank you for the tip. Going to get started right now! If they sell a coffee on me
😃
Thanks as always great content!
Hi thanks for your help. How many have you sold from this design.
Thank you Cassiy! But i need a vat id number to public my produkt how do i Get that? Need help plis!!!!🤔
Thank you for your helpful videos! Have you hired anyone to help you with your business at this level? Just wondering at what point that becomes necessary. I also assume it’s different for everyone
Cassiy
If I don’t have mock ups for comfort colors, do you recommend to post photo cards?
Thank you as always !
I think if you are going to sell comfort colors shirts, then you will need to purchase comfort colors mockups!
Cassiy,
I wanted to purchase the CC C1717 from Samantha from MoneyMakerMockups but I don’t see C1717 under T-shirts in Printify
I am confused how to match them
Thank you as always
I’ve had the same issue with small sizes on printify. I had reached out to them and they stated they scale down the design for sizes less than large.
Then you keep the difference between the two
@@CassiyJohnson thanks for your answer, blessings 🙂
When you create a design using the color red, which is popular for a few Holidays, is it not important that the customer receives the same color that shows on the mock up? I think I would be disappointed to receive an orangey color. How would you handle the situation you described? Thanks for all your work, great videos!!
thank you so much - very helpful
So glad this was helpful for you!! Wishing you all the best, Nancy! ❤️
Thanks for another great video!! I heard that Drive Fulfillment won’t put the name of your store on the shipping label, only theirs. Do you know if that’s true? Thanks!
Yes I heard that also, I think it is true.
I meant to mention that in the video, their package said "fulfillment center" not the name of my business.
Thanks for confirming! Definitely something to keep in mind when using them if necessary.
Thanks Cassiy. Do you offer free shipping?
Yes I do!
