- Shot on location in eight countries, the second season of "La Reina del Sur" is set eight years after powerful drug trafficker Teresa Mendoza (Kate del Castillo) disappeared into the U.S. Federal Witness Protection Program after bringing down Mexican presidential candidate Epifanio Vargas. Living as Maria Dantes, she is raising her daughter Sofia in the Tuscan village of Massa Marittima. But her life takes an unexpected turn, and she will do the impossible to reclaim her throne.

Kate is by far the best actress, no hollywood actress can compare to her skills as an actress....the young girl in the series is also amazing, so was the little street boy, he was so cute I wanted to adopt him. I very much liked Lincoln Palomeque, what a great voice he has

I had a great day meeting Actress Kate Del Castillo at the BUILD Series NYC studio and all of her fan enjoyed meeting her too!!! But the only two of her movies I enjoyed watching is No Good Deed and Under The Same Moon!!!
