I was at the game last night. One thing to note, Pike and staff usually prepare the team with tape breakdowns and player tendencies prior. As an exhibition, heard there was no opponent prep,he just wanted to let them play. Offense was great with still plenty to work on. Defense was inconsistent between incredible and awful. After a month of early soft schedule they show all learn the game prep process and be more consistently good by the time the big Vegas Thanksgiving tournament rolls around. Oh yeah and St John’s is a really good veteran team. Great first test with plenty to work on while still being 0-0. Going to be an exciting season.
Definitely not too concerned with the final score of an exhibition (Arkansas best Purdue last year in one). But excited to see them work through some stuff and become the great team they can
These two freshman are gonna be great, glad they won't be in the B1G for more than 1 year.

With the way the Big Ten could be this year, if they could survive until January and then figure it out they’ll give themselves a shot to be top 5 in the B1G still
If anything, this games proves more that better recruitment does not lead to more wins
I’d change that to *automatically* lead to more wins. Still have to implement their stuff well. It was only an exhibition though, I’d expect Rutgers to still be good
@@FeedthePostnaw not really bro, 2 freshman’s isn’t carrying a team like that fs a illini team, Indiana team or maybe Purdue team
I think rutgers is a must watch TV they have ballers, and these 2 freshmen look like the real deal. They lead must of the way.
@@SPAWNOFSATAN013 the lead most of the way but didn’t win, vs stacked teams and especially in they conference like illini and Indiana, having those only 2 freshman’s will hurt them
