Man... imagine what a bunch of more (40k) mods and a even just a bit of more development would do to this game.
I like how it shows how useless high ground can become after killing a million or two. The Guard ended up fighting uphill. Just imagine the feeling of dread seeing the mountain of the dead growing 🙈
If you don't have troops set to a static defense it can work a bit better. Though the Ai is dodgy at best. They either back peddle off a cliff or push forward in odd ways and get out flanked if you have your "defense" set to anything but stand still.
Interesting thought on how reloading would change the dynamic of a massive horde battle, I guess the same is true for ammunition supply, weapon overheating and combat fatigue. A gun is pretty good when you have bullets flying out of it, but when you don't, it's pretty much just a big club.
Morale is a finite resource as well, Occasional losses from commissars refilling it

Commissars inspire morale first and foremost by example first, punishments second.
Crone makes him sound like a witch is the opposite of what he is
when the dam exploded, that was pretty cool!
9000 Guardsmen is also nothing, compared to the size of some regiments. Good size for a forward deployed group, but no armor support beyond the artillery certainly makes a difference. The bridge explosion was cool, the bodies piling up is wild!
if you want to see more mountains of dead you should see some of his tyranid videos
Awesome video! Its so cool to see these enormous battlefields that I used to imagine as a kid play out! Also, I love the artillery shots and slowmotion parts! Keep up the good work man
i think if all 67 billion were here both your graphics card will melt
Whoahhhh this is AWESOME!!! I can’t wait to see another one for this planet! Maybe a good idea would be the guardsmen have to hold down several key choke points with the help of a few astartes and a LOT more artillery. But the numbers for the miners are doubled due to the nuke going off at the end of this one. And the choke points would become harder and harder to defend as the body piles make new paths to the side. The bodies flung off a cliff for example might eventually fill the entire thing! And the choke point becomes in danger of being lost. Maybe it’s like a old imperial trench line mixed with a few bunkers situated by a cliff side. And the only entrances are several holes inside the former walls of the fortress, meaning they would have to deal with around maybe 3 to 5 breaches!
Also for a thumbnail I think you can use @32:50 or @31:42
Hope you have a great day, this made me feel like a little kid again lol.
Im just imagining the absolute racket from 9000 rifles plus artillery all going off at the same time, then combined with the frenzied screaming of millions of zombies. Definitely super deaf within a minute or so.
I didn't think I liked violence just for the sake of violence - but i've change my mind now!
Just found your channel and I love your videos dude keep up the great work. Glory to the Imperium.
I'm so glad i discovered this channel.
The slowmo was great. Also whatever is in those pyramids is getting resurrected.
Also maybe would be cool to see some maneuvering of troops by yourself as the battle progresses, such as outer lines retreating. AKA the Imperial 'commander' giving orders. Something to think about at least
the game is very basic in terms of stratagy or the concept of "cover", if you move units they just form blobs normaly or cant do it how you would expect; the downside of having millions of units is that there is very much a lack of a strategy game other than how you set units up :)
@ChaoticPinky yeah I've played, I just mean moving surrounded units to the fresh lines before they can be destroyed like before the time-lapse or fortifying flanks that are breaking with units from elsewhere. Just to make the battle feel more alive
@@joshydarrochI agree. Even the most useless of Guard commanders wouldn’t let his men be slaughtered for no reason.
just imagination if the guardsmen actually had lasers....
Quality over quantity only works if you can control the opponents movement.
My like for the story telling.
Would have been handy to call in some Marines or orbital Naval support. Odd the guard brought no tanks...
nurgle does make plague zombies so zombies does work
Awesome video, especially the damn exploding but the imperial guard would never land without building some sort of barricade. The open assault on their lines was a death sentence. 👍
imperial guard has autoguns, they are literally called that, they even have auto pistols and autocannons
Pinky I'd call them Chaos Cultists of Khorne honestly.
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!
All glory to Khorne!
Who cares not from where the blood flows, only that it does!
And yeah it's pronounced corn.

SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE MILK FOR THE KHORNE FLAKES
The blood god is pleased.
That last guardsman had his presence shielded from the zombie horde by the emperor
this mod is bringing out some fun!
Well I....... just killed some zombies .
imagine just dropping like, 2 astartes into the middle of that pile...the zombies wouldnt stand a chance.
*Looks lustfully at possible attritional war*
wow, i cant wait to see what whill hapen next on that planet, i'm sure the imperium will be able to take it back, but, how many people will died for this?
Yeah but if you say 'Khrone" then it just sounds like your talking about an old witch lady, cuz ya know, Crone is a word as well.
Yes, but arguably, an ugly magical witch is more in line with chaos than corn 🌽
If you dont like "Khorne" you could use his Deep Speech name, Kharneth.
Very epic
Is Tau playable in this?

Can we get more slow mo shots?
Some guard regiments still rely on autoguns, it just tends to be the cold weather specialised ones as the low temps drain las packs, and given the habitual mismanagement of the Administratum a desert recon could be equipped with autoguns by mistake.
Autoguns do have the ammo suply being their main drawback. lasgun has more shots and can be recharged on any power source or even by just tossing it in a camp fire. You'll run out of rounds long before lasgun does. and just incade some one points out lasguns are justl flashligts, in same regard an autogun would be a nerf gun. this is 40k after all.
@@Jaegerrants They do indeed has ammo limitations as a drawback, hence why they are primarily cold focused equipment. As for the flashlight, a lasgun will literally blast the front of a skull off a unarmoured human.
But in cold conditions I'll take the autogun with limited ammo over the las gun with none due to thermal drain.
