it’s funny, everyone is accusing her of being on drugs while every male musician who is known for being on drugs don’t get scrutinized. it’s none of your business what she puts into her body.
At no point in this interview does she discuss recreational substance abuse. If you just want to say that you like drugs or support a libertarian approach to drug taking then fine, say so. Not sure why you have to dress it up as chivalry / fighting the patriarchy / a defence of privacy or whatever this is. Ferreira is very talented and has produced some great work. As a matter of public record, she had a bad run in with the law which meant a serious amount of career damage. End of. Personally, I hope she's off anything she may have been on, and appreciate how hard that can be.
And by the way, whataboutery is all very well but maybe when male musicians admit to drug use, why don't they meriit scrutiny?

Ok, watch any documentary on a male musician. It's basically a cliche. Childhood. Adolescence. Fame. Downfall. Either the person dies or there's some positive outlook at the end. They remain endlessly glorified while people like Courtney Love or Nancy Spungen remain controversial, gold digging, no talent hacks who are somehow responsible for said rockstars death. They were both heroin addicts who get blamed for the male rockstars downfall, despite the fact they were using hard drugs prior to their relationships. Both women are the subject of conspiracy, because let's not admit that their partners had serious drug problems or anything. And I wrote this comment atleast a year ago, before all the woke bs.
“And then I dye my hair black and they’re like, Joan Jett!” I actually LAUGHED. I love Sky. Her insights & dry humor is always on the mark.
Finally someone who GETS Courtney Love. She is one of the most misunderstood and underrated musicians of the 90s. And shout out to Live Through This. -If you’re picking that album as your favorite is a sign you appreciate the musical excellence. Aside from the music-it scared people she wasn’t just some meek lady. Yup!

man, i don't know how people bother to make excuses for her - compare interviews of her in 2014 to how she looked and acted in 2013. she's definitely done some things to herself. not saying its drugs... but it's definitely drugs
M Carter the important thing is she's clean now & I believe she was getting clean around the time this was filmed. She's a lot better now.

I'm very well-educated and constantly asked or derided for dressing like I'm in the grunge era, a lot of boys clothing, ripped jeans with dresses over top and patched sweaters, babydoll dresses mostly black and different accessories often crosses and such. I understand, to my own extent. It's personal style. You would say something if she was rich and dressed very rich too, commenting on her 'showing off' or something of the sort. There is always some way to bring someone down.

When she started ans her hair was blond ans she looked like a lost 80's pop singer, I thought that she had it. The songs were good, her voice was there. Yet now she's looking like Courtney Love on a bad day, which is a sad thing to watch.
