Why did the iden player say you couldnt shield the space Unit with Luke’s action in game 1? It was played the same turn and is a Unit ? It sounded like he Said it is not a hero ? What is that anyway ?
Custom playmat would have been great if not for the space and ground unit labels. It' won't be the same for the other player if both have the same playmat. So learn from this, always make both unit sides generic. Never label it separately as space and ground units. Do what gamegenic did with their Death Star zoned playmat.

The Iden player was dead on board and didn’t have a way to deal with it that turn so they had to claim and hope to draw a way out (Superlaser Blast)

A hero unit is a unit with the heroism aspect. Luke's ability only lets you give a shield to a unit with that aspect.
