Arch-fey-run. It must be strong, the world is named after it

That was a fun vid! Thanks for experimenting with nature themed warlock, the plant and cloud combo is very nice :)

I think the reason Hadar seems to work in conjunction with terrain and wall spells like wall of fire is that it's considered a cloud effect that doesn't damage the environment. Because Hadar's damage actually comes from applying the Hunger of Hadar status effect to all creatures who enter the cloud, it doesn't actually cause any damage to the environment and thus the cold damage will not cause fire to go out or water to freeze. Similarly since it's a cloud it won't effect the grounded terrain either.
Disclaimer that I don't really know how any of this works in the actual code and this is just the explanation that makes the most sense to me

You're making vids of a lot of my favorite classes & sub classes lately & it's awesome!! Archfey is great for a Controller, just like the enchanter, and powerful if you engineer it so that your spell repertoire is mostly/all high level so you can cast (theoretically) 9 powerful high level spells (assuming you have a Bard in your party) every long rest. That's more than anyone else can, save doing some Sorcerer cheese (which is lame IMO).
My favorite use for the Archfey, is to go 7 Archfey (pact of the blade)/5 Rogue (Thief) to make a swashbuckler of sorts. You can really ruin a lot of mages/people's day by equiping The baneful (pact weapon and deepen pact) & Sussur Dagger... Whether you sneak up on someone, or combine it with many uses of Greater invisibility (if you have someone who can buff you with pass without trace, it's even crazier) and a good sneak skill + gear that takes advantage of being obscured - and factor in fear and of course the bonuses you mentioned in the video, it's so much fun!

Yeah, you are hitting the nail on the head, and I like that multi-class with Rogue. I was originally gonna focus on that, but I try to give my first example a Pure 12 when I dive into these Subclasses.
A pure warlock does what nothing else can. 3 Level 5 Spells on short rest, Extra Attack on their weapon actions, the best ranged attack in the game, and solely focus on 1 stat for In and Out of combat. Thats simply the foundation. Fey has more than I gave it credit for initially. I still think its the worse of the 3, but like Cleric that doesn't matter given the Class as a base.

@@gar-sen I'm obsessed with using Bane, especially to open with against harder targets. So I too like the swashbuckler type approach.

About Blink... I don't know if this is still the case in Patch 7, but when I tried it, it backfired. Whenever you become ethereal, any spell you're concentrating on instantly stops, like you stopped existing. So you're punished VERY hard for your limited spell slots per battle.

😂 I'm trying to think of what made Halsin sell his soul for demon powers.

Fey stuff isn't demons right? It's like, well Hags and stuff. Guess thats not really any better.

Oh nice that greater invis sounds like it would be good in combination with a shadow monk assassin... Pass without trace etc.

Exactly. Very broken even before Pass without Trace or say Tricky Cleric tricks.

Do you think Warlock is your fave because it has 2 sets of subclasses? Or is it just being the short rest half caster?
Seeming is a super versatile spell......in tabletop. In bg3, it's super niche. I think it's more for flavor.
Blink is the spellslingers sanctuary. Great for avoiding being hit, but since you can continue to do damage, it has to be unreliable. (Hence the die roll each turn). Useful in emergencies, frustrating if you miss that roll at the wrong time.
"Despite purposely ignoring the functor which breaks Concentration, a StatusGroup error still breaks Concentration when vanishing." (Copied from bug section bg3 wiki blink)

Yeah wiki says it drops concentration. I really want to find a powerful use for it. It seems like its there, unlike SEEMing. Figures Seeming is better on Tabletop where an infiltration mission might be something that crops up or whatever.
Warlock is my favorite because if you replace L with C its funny.
