Heart rate=300/number of large squares between beats (R-R).....in case of regular rythm
Heart rate=number of R wave in 15 large square *20......in case of irregular rythm

Can anyone please explain why do we calculate by multiplying with 10 in 6 seconds method?
We want to calculate the heart beat per minute,and thus we have taken a strip with only 6 seconds. 6 X 10 =60 secs, equivalent to a minute.
I.e if there are 10 beats in 6 seconds,how about 60 seconds (1 minute) 10 X 10 = 100 BPM.
