- In 2021, China made the sweeping decision to ban Bitcoin and Bitcoin mining. That decision kicked off a migration of mining businesses to other countries including the US.
In this roundtable panel VICE News’s Krishna Andavolu talks to Motherboard’s Jordan Pearson and Neeraj Agrawal of Coincenter to discuss what this ban means for Bitcoin and the future regulation of crypto.

I came here to learn how to invest after listening to a guy on radio talk about the importance of investing and how he made $460,000 in 4 months from $160k, somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm still confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.
Investing in stocks and crypto is a good idea, a good trading system would put you through many days of success.
It is possible to produce superior performance provided you do something different from the majority. However most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.
Having monitored my portfolio performance which has made a jaw dropping $370k from just the past two quarters alone, I have learned why experienced traders make enormous returns from the seemingly unknown market.

@@louisclifford9874 Exactly, the trick is to diversify your investment, don't panic when everyone else is and invest consistently.

The simple fact that sometimes no incentive is the best incentive, and when it comes to a global monetary system, the fraud scams greed & money that comes with Bitcoin mining is a horrible idea

Thank a miner for the terrible GPU prices. They are getting what they deserve now with stocks and crypto crashing.
I don't sympathise with miners but the silicon shortage played a bigger role in the prices miners were a factor, just not the biggest one

Bitcoin has nothing to do with GPU shortages. Also crypto mining is not a major factor of the shortage, the main issue was the unexpected huge rise in demand over covid

@@sharpenedge That's a good point, because the best argument is always your example in a case like this one.
Although there are lots of people who show an example as the way, it makes them consistent when it comes to arguing about crypto wasting.
@@sharpenedge I already try to do these things. What I don't do is run electric heaters and run AC to keep them from overheating, all to "create" nothing.

What would this do to the cost of energy for people that live in the areas these crypto mines move to?
Reduce it. Think of it as a subsidy from heaven.
Increase it. Demand for power going up with constricted supply.
@@clarkthompson8094 Places with constricted supply typically are not attractive to miners. Flexible load services that miners offer can bring extreme value to help offset large loads. Only industry/entity that can move like it does for these loads. Unfortunately there are bad actors that come along with this. Time and more education will weed these people out.

Why would you want to mine bitcoin if it's going to be worth $0 soon? Also why would you want to regulate bitcoin mining? Just make it illegal.
Who says it will be $0? And if it is, you can still mine it now and cash out while the price is high enough.

My closest most trusted ‘insider’ (as in-insider insider- like Julian Assange) told me that the only money to be made on crypto currency was in building some beefy USB and bi-polar DC power supplies to power those miners… Maybe I design a Eurorack module to mine Crypto-Currency?! And let’s not forget the efficiency of circuits based around FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays)!!
