    If you watch Mr. Galway as the youngster plays his flute, you will see the admiration that James has for that youngster. It would've been nice to hear what Mr. Galway was telling the youngster. Maybe the maker of this video can get 'closed captioning', then we can all know what Mr. Galway had to say, JUST BAD MIC PLACEMENT.

      If you are serious about the flute learn to play complete bugle calls on the lowest notes without moving your fingers, using only the harmonics. Pay attention to how hearing the note, first in your head, and then how your throat and mouth must be positioned for each harmonic. Mastering this will greatly increase your confidence in your ability to play the note you wanted to hear

  • @gblan
    @gblan 7 років тому +29

    This kid has put in many hours of hard work to get his good at age 9. If more kids would put the XBox aside and devote themselves to learning how to play an instrument the world might be a better place.
    Here's Sir James playing the same piece btw: ua-cam.com/video/FPQr31RVa8E/v-deo.html

    • @maddie7414
      @maddie7414 7 років тому +14

      gblan I think that this 9 year old is extremely talented, and his put in much hard work along with probably having lots of natural talent himself. however, I disagree that all kids should put aside their video games to learn an instrument. video games are something some kids are passionate about, while learning instruments is something other kids can be passionate about, and to force that on them would be atrocious. I myself am a musician and am very passionate about music but I still believe that not every single kid should learn an instrument if it doesn't interest them.
