Nice Job Joe. I ordered a Revelator for my studio when I watched your video last week. Really like all the routing options and it sounds great too. Waiting now to see what you have for the next video.
Wow!! So super helpful!! Most of the beginner videos are way too advanced for me! You really walked us through set by step. It looks like there are some differences in the 2022 software. It looks like main and headphones are lumped into one mix instead of separate on the 2022 version of Universal Control. Are there any updated videos for the new software? Also, it took almost 8 hours to download the Studio One version 5. Is that normal? It seems there were a lot of extensions and that's what was taking the most time. Anyway, thanks for your video! Definitely the most helpful one I've seen so far!
Hey I just got my Revelator and so far I love it. But I have NO IDEA how to adjust the Fat Channel settings to improve the tone. Is there a tutorial for mastering the art of customizing Universal Control?
Can you by any chance tell me the specific settings you're using for this audio? What is the HPF, Gate, Comp, EQ, Limiter, Voice and Gain? having a really hard time getting quality sound. My iPhoneX is producing a more natural sound and I'd like to get a deeper studio sound like yours so I figure if I can start with your setting, maybe I can tweak from there...?
Hey Joe and hope You are doing well. I have a specific question as I'm about to receive the Revelator courtesy of a good friend of mine. I need to do two specific things. 1.) Since I'm involved heavily in "Sync Licensing" my friend wants me to make Ttutorial/Explanation types of Vdeos for his Website and his FB Private Group. I want to be able to do a voice over type of thing as I arrange, insert "write" automation etc. while creating an "Example" of building some kind of theme music for a Sync Placement somewhere. But I need to do this in real time to demonstrate the process. (trust me sync licensing is a different animal from Live Streaming, and Podcasts and so on. so a lot of different factors involved.) And I want to be able to explain as I go. Preferably through a small window with my Ruggedly Hansome Mug (ha ha) in that screen. Or if I have to edit in Studio One the voice overs. Which would be the quickest way? Just doing the whole thing in studio one? Or making use of the Revelator's multi channel features? 2.) The other thing is there seems to be some disagreement among S1 users on whether or not ver 4.6.2 (which is what I have) vs ver 5. regarding Key Switches. I saw a video from Lucas where he just used the pencil tool (draw tool whatever) and would draw in the key switches he wanted to use. I tried that and found that certain Presonus PSO orchestral instruments did that while others did not. Lucas wants to see a video of this as he's confused. Ergo, I wanted to do an OBS or demo of what I was doing in real time and capture the audio so he can "Hear" the weirdness while watching me "Drawing" the key switch keys in my ver 4. Again can using the Revelator help me capture this while walking him through verbally? Okay thanks hope I haven't bogged You down with this
Hi Joe, I'm planning to buy a mic for my podcast project. I was thinking to buy the presonus PD70 then I fund this video about Revelator. I wanted to buy PD70 and to use OBS software. What's your advise between these two mics?
When will it actually be available for purchase? Just had a conversation with my team about how this would be a great option for a livestream we are about to start working on. All of the retailers I checked from the Presonus product page say backordered, or ships from manufacturer, or click her to be notified when this item is in stock, etc.
Hello I'm a presonus sphere member and I've been using studio one 5 for a few months. I'm starting a podcast with 3 people (2 Hosts and 1 Guest) and I would like to know if I have to buy 3 REVELATOR MICS or just 1 is enough. Thank You
Every time I record or stream using my phone/iPad the audio goes only to the left side for the audience, I've tried every possible solution but nothing works and the support is useless. Definitely don't recommend if you're intending to use with your phone.
From what the manual says, the software will NOT work the same way in Windows as it does here for Mac. It states on page 11: "...PreSonus recommends that you use Multi Mode for the best experience...." and a few lines later it says..."...On Windows, Revelator is always in Single Mode (presumably a less-than-best experience) ..." It therefore seems as though the software will only offer single mode for a Windows user. Can anyone clarify this? If that's the case then it should be clearly stated by Presonus that there is a disadvantage for Windows users.
I found this, ua-cam.com/video/KIAUiFoYPtQ/v-deo.html. It's for logic but at least it shows us what the new M1 Macs are capable of. I can't wait till S1 is optimized for BigSur M1 Macs..
Hi joe! Thanks for this one! By the way nice tatoo. I guess you know that "κατάπαυσις" means "cease" or "stop" in greek. Does it mean something to you?
Hi guys, I am totally horrified! I was really looking forward to the revelator, ordered it, today it arrived and now this...The sound recordings with the Revelator mic are absolutely horrible! What were you thinking, this is the worst microphone I ever had! I use it on a Mac and the recordings are an absolute joke, whether in Adobe Audition or in Studio One 5, the disappointment couldn't be greater!

Is there a tutorial on using the Revelator with Streamyard and music from my computer?
My S1 doesn't have the playback or recording device options........

I am showing that I have to pay for studio one artist. Is it called something else now?
Will The Revelator Software Support 3rd Party VST Plugins In Future Updates? If Not, Its A No Go For Me.

Does this mic work on Windows 7?

Does anyone had experience in recording video and voice with Revelator connected to iPad or iPhone?

You have the same experience. No disadvantage. I run it on a PC.
Off topic, but can someone please do a review using the new MacBook Air M1 with S1 and some automation and at least 5 Mai Tai tracks?

I need a setup for myself, a remote person and another person remote. They are on zoom calling me in on iPhone zoom call. How do I do that?
You would need to use zoom on the computer. both people would be on the same Zoom channel
Or you could have one person on zoom, one person on Skype, and then you could use different loopback channels for each. - Joe Gilder
@@presonus that’s what I needed to know. Can I run it through studio one 5?
