It’s crazy because since Wind Back released, this is probably their most structured song and grooviest song (not counting their older releases). I’m very curious as to how you would have reacted to Black Ice. The thing I also like about these guys is the amazing use of “ad-libs” and sound effects. If you listen closely you can hear an alarm clock, a champagne pouring, a carbonated drink being cracked open and a siren (during the downtuned guitar and sax part). Paledusk is like a band where the producer is also a member lol. This analysis was very good. Also for those who like the Jazz and Metal combo, I recommend Shrezzers. 👍
Pale horse is more structured.
@@JulianoKM10 You’re absolutely correct, but since Wind Back (2021) their releases have that more controlled chaos.
This is why I love these special selections - discovering something special like this, and mad, off the wall stuff is exactly what I like. Thanks for this one! Definitely gonna be looking into these guys
I swear man, there’s something in the water in the Japanese core scene. Great bands with incredibly eccentric and extreme sounds that simultaneously somehow just works, Crystal Lake, DEVILOOF, Dexcore, Maximum! The Hormone, Broken By The Scream and I could go on. Some of the most creative stuff coming out of the core scene today along with Scandinavian Thall.
Maximum the Hormone doesn't have a especific genre, but they are more oriented to nu metal and punk than core genres.
Paledusk🔥🔥🔥
This was incredible. It's the kind of music you can get when artists from different backgrounds come together and care more about making music than following genre conventions. It's very postmodern, yet unlike most postmodernism I do feel a coherency in this, with the ideas flowing well between each other with many of them brought back to lend a structure to it and several little motifs throughout. Another band going near the top of my list!
My 4th favorite genre bending/blending band from Japan, Paledusk.
1) Maximum the Hormone
2) Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
3) PassCode
4) Paledusk
5) Miscast
I second Paledusk - 'Black Ice' 🤘🎸🥁🎌
you got the at whatever genre polyphia is doing XD
fusion keeps music interesting
