Medicine Cabinet Magnetic Mirror Frame - RENTER FRIENDLY

- Small space decorators know the bigger the mirror, the larger a room can appear! This tiny bathroom, all 40 square feet of it, has only one humble medicine cabinet mirror. If you are a renter or not quite ready for a large renovation of your bathroom, here's how to create a removable mirror frame complete with magnets that will give any small mirror a little more presence and gravitas in a space. And the best part is that you can take it with you when you move.
I call this DIY project a "quickie" because it will take you less than 2 hours to make. It's also very easy on the pocketbook. Give it a whirl in your space and let me know how it works out for you!

Thank you! Cheers! Much more to come!!😊
Wonderful idea!
Thank you for checking out my channel. That mirror frame still looks the same as it ever did. Happy it’s a design that lasts.
@@NutshellLiving I went to the local artist store and bought the artist stretcher bars this morning!
Please tell us how you did all your other adorable frames around the bathroom,I am in love😊
Hi Laurie!! Those are salvaged picture frames I collected from the flea market and Home Goods. A lot of them were on clearance because the glass was cracked and since I was planning on removing all of the glass, I scored big time.
The trick is to paint them all with a matte chalk paint in white and layer them in eye-catching ways. Maybe I’ll include them in an upcoming episode. When I lived in NYC, I used the same concept and painted the frames a charcoal color and hung them on a charcoal wall in my living room. The frames mimicked the look of molding. Thanks for checking out the channel! New episode posts tomorrow. Have a great day!

This is a great idea for those generic bathroom mirrors, and it's portable! Also, dig your homage to Henri Bendel Thanks for the weekly tips.
What a really cool idea! I like how the frame turned out - it gives a beachy feel. I like the idea of using the “stretcher bar” to make the frame foundation. It saves a lot of time. Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome! Thank you so much for watching. I like to assume not all of us have power tools at our disposal so it’s nice to suggest some pre-fab options.
Subscribing! The artist stretcher bar tip…pure gold!
Thanks, Dana! That means so much. It’s one of my favorite projects to share because of its simplicity. Thanks for watching!

They are often described as super strong magnets. I have also bought them at my local Ace Hardware store with great success. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions. My magnet mirror is still very much in use today.
@@NutshellLiving thank you that was an awesome idea trying to figure out what to do with a borderless mirror over bathroom sink, any ideas?
@@NutshellLiving how many magnets did you need?
