GAME: Persona 3 Reload

As with the original Persona 3, the protagonist is a high school student returning to his home city a decade after his parents were killed in a fatal car crash. He soon gains the potential to summon a Persona-the physical manifestation of his inner spirit, and joins the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (S.E.E.S.), a group of like-minded Persona users. The hilarious part about this comment is that the first culprit in that game is also named Makoto Yuki in the Japanese version.
There is a fan theory that one of the kids from Yuko’s Social Link is actually Ryuji because the kid’s portrait from Portable look remarkably like him. Yellow shirt, similar hairstyle, and that familiar shit eating grin. The general timeline works too. It is cute to imagine that the boy would learn to love track so much.

I was hoping they would play with that theory in this version but it seems more like they’re trying to kill it. I still make that my headcannon though

Okay I gotta say, Junpei’s Believe It or Don’t performance was so much better than the original. Junpei’s new voice actor is doing a fantastic job.
I personally like both the performances. I'm just glad they found someone who could capture a feeling similar as the performance before

I only learned about Zeno Robinson recently (I was looking through the trivia section on the TvTropes page for Fire Emblem Heroes, and he was mentioned under Promoted Fanboy; he's been a fan since Path of Radiance, and he was thrilled to get cast as Zihark for Heroes), but he's been killing it in everything I've heard him in.
While I love both performance, reload's Junpei is seriously so good.

evenings in this game are very generous since there are only 2 social links you can do then, so its best to prioritize your social stats over them and anything else to come, you could even start the social links AFTER you maxed out your social stats, thats how i managed to 100% everything in one run ( also tanaka is one of the very few s.links that level up guaranteed no persona nor right answers required )
side note might be obvious : FOCUS ONLY ON SCHOOL S.LINKS . anyone outside of school should be done during exams cuz school slinks are busy studying, or during summer/days off .
I made that mistake back in Persona 3 Portable, putting focus on the evening social links and I ended up finishing them both in September and then I basically had nothing to do in the evening till the end of the game other than walk Koromaru 😆.

Funny thing about the ghost story Junpei told, this isn't the last time the story gets told in a Persona game. In Persona 4 Golden during the third semester ski trip, Yosuke tells this story to the rest of the Investigation Team! Saying that his friend from middle school's older sister was one of the girls doing the bullying. Implying that Yosuke was attending Gekkokan middle school during the events of Persona 3.

Its because junpei was playing games at the arcade (you know, the place where you can up your persona stats), kind of a neat touch but not ever event will he like that
Some helpful tips and clarifications:
I would go to the Fox Shrine everyday to get a free copy of any Skill Card in your current possession.
The Moon Social Link is available all the time, so I would save him for when your School Social Links are unavailable like during vacations and exams.
After talking to Yuko after getting Rank 4 with her Social Link, you will unlock another Social Link. Try exploring Club Escapade at night for a new Social Link.
If you answered all of Yukari’s questions correctly for talking to everyone and investigating the rumors, she would actually give you an item. It’s just a Cielo Mist drink, so it’s not worth a reload.

He has to talk with Yuko first before he can unlock that other social link. Just being at Rank 4 isn't enough.

You can completely avoid dating and awkward confessions from rank 9 social links by just not being flirty throughout the SL. This completely skips the confession and the scene plays out as friends. You can avoid locking yourself out of a romance option by just being flirty but it’s really nice for when you know for sure who you’re going for and don’t want to feel like you’re leading on the other girls.

Nah Noisy Fan is definitely Laura Stahl. She played Kurane in RainCode but if you hear her performance as Barbara in Genshin Impact you can tell it’s her
Shelby Young is the VA for Yuko and she’s sooooo good. The delivery she has when Yuko gets flustered is top tier. She just sounds so genuine and sweet. Honestly she was the one I romanced for my first playthrough.
Mutatsu is the drunk monk at the club. You need rank 4 courage to talk to him though and he can only be done at night similar to Tanaka.
I just checked and for Mutatsu you need rank 2 of courage. It is a little weird cuz you need rank 2 to even go to the club, but yeah.
By the way, Yukari does reward you if you get all her questions properly, which you can actually find info about all around town.

In terms of romancing, you will get the option to choose whether or not to romance a girl later in your social link like you assumed. However, a small amount of girls have options in earlier links that can lock you out of choosing to romance that specific girl, but there’s a very small amount of social links that have this. Just a heads up to know about if you are considering romancing a specific girl.

Been about 6 years for me. I started watching his KH Let’s Plays and subscribed to him around the time he was going through KH3 about 6 years ago. Haven’t looked back since. It was actually NicoB doing the KH games blind that gave me the confidence to do a 100% Platium Trophy run of all the KH games. It was utter hell doing all the optional bosses and getting all trophies on the Hardest Difficulty. Except for DDD, that one I actually got the platinum before realizing that I could do the Critical mode.
To quote my reaction to hear the voice actors announce their roles for this game, "Yeah Paul Castro Jr is in a Persona game! I loved his work as Rindo from Neo TWEWY! ...Why did he have to be Nozomi though?"

The social links are interesting and with the voice acting they are more sympathetic. The add-on scenes/extra scenes with the male members of the group are making this game much better, too.
By the way, there is another social link available "Mutatsu" and he is unlockable by talking to Yuko after school and learn about him in the club. Then go on the top floor of Club Escapade at Paulownia Mall and talk to that person, then talk to the bartender on the ground floor and with him again (after the order).

Nico finally talked to the Mitsuru Super Fan! Now you must always talk to her when she has different things to say, they are amazing! Also remember to check Elizabeth for quest some have deadlines and could help get some money (Though it's usually tied to the Tartarus quest)
Fun Fact: In FES, Yuko's rank 3 is actually different. Her rank 3 in Reload is actually her rank 4. Her rank 3 in FES is about her talking about how she wants to take a diet since she's been gaining weight recently. For some reason, they removed this rank.
It might be because of recent real-world issues. In particular, there's been a general growing dislike for media that emphasizes thin girls. It influences younger/ teen girls to try to look like that, sometimes to the point of malnourishment.
Some may even develop eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa (where people intentionally starve themselves, believing themselves to be "fat" even if they're actually severely underweight) or bulimia nervosa (where people will eat unusually large quantities of food, feel bad about it, and try to get rid of it in some way, including but not limited to vomiting it up, excessive exercise, or something else).
There are other eating disorders, too, such as binge-eating disorder (eating large quantities of food in a short period of time) or avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (where kids or adults are excessively picky about how much or what they eat, to the point that they don't get the amount of calories they need, meaning that, for kids, they don't develop like they're supposed to, and, for adults, they are unable to maintain normal body function).

A little tip about getting points to advance your social link. Instead of hanging out with them, I recommend you pull a fortune from the shrine to get points. You don't get as much point as hanging out with them, but pulling fortune has a chance giving you 500, 1000, or even 10,000 yen. So if you are just a little off from advancing and you like a bit of cash, I recommend you do a fortune instead. Just make sure you save before pulling a fortune. Not only do you not want to waste a day to not get enough points to advance the social link, but there is a chance to lose money, too.
If you examine the kitchen door (not the dorm's back door) while Junpei and Yukari are following you, Junpei will say something along the lines of "Oh, this is the door that doesn't open. I wish it was the front door instead, so we wouldn't have to go." He totally forgot the dorm had a back door unless you examine that where he'll say, "Let's use the front door like normal people."
Also, if you examine the bookcase closest to the dorm's front, Junpei will ask if you're thinking of stuffing books under your clothes for protection. I couldn't help but remember how Persona 4's Investigation Team stuffed their equipment under their clothes to hide weapons from the police.
5:11 If Sleep works the same way as in Persona 5, perhaps it helps build up a random Social Link or a random Social Stat, so I can see people sleeping to make up for lack of readiness for a particular Social Link.
Sleep does not really do anything other than pass the day, but I have to assume it is from people who rushed the story to get some scenes into a video the first few days. Or people in their second run

Just so you know, Nico, Tanaka is one of the few Social Links in this game that level up every time you spend time with them.

I get why people find Nozomi annoying. But his rank 10 event made me feel sorry for him. Feeling worthless can lead to a Mental hell that I wouldn't wish on anyone.
nozomi may have grown by ranked 10, but he was real ass and a scammer so he is my least moon arcana social link compared to Mishima nozomi he is nothing
Nozomi’s issue is he has half a Social link worth of plot stretched across 10 ranks. If his epiphany happened halfway through and we spent time with him through self improvement & setbacks, it could’ve been a great social link.
I still enjoyed it more than Kenji’s link. It’s just such a nothingburger and Kenji’s delusions get old fast.

Unless you want to get the EXP boost from starting the devil arcana, you don't really need to worry about starting Tanaka fast. There aren't many night S-links, so you can take your time with them or start them after maxing out 2 of your social stats if you want. At least that was the case in the older versions of p3.

Persona 1 and 2 were mainly just the dungeon crawling alongside the negotiating mechanics from the SMT series, but no social links. It still had the fusing of Personas and exploiting weaknesses like the newer games.

I love cyyu’s portrayal of Akihiko in persona 3 reload but I find it that the 3 characters he voices outside this game are also powerful lightning users. Jing yuan from star rail and cyno from genshin. I think he has a thing for lightning

Thinking the original P3 social links aren't as deep as the later games is not something I thought I'd ever hear lol. P3 social links, characters and story are arguably the best in the series (though a lot of that comes down to personal preference). But I do agree, the voice acting is superb.
what's funny is, after nico saying the joke, akihiko line be like "i'll be done in a min" makes it extra funny.

I greatly recommend using the stores at iwadodai strip mall, specifically, wild duck for courage, and the two shops on the second floor for academics and charm.
They're cheaper but slower, so there is a tradeoff there.

Ah, there he is. The "worst" social link of Persona 3, according to the fandom: Nozomi Suemitsu, the Moon arcana.
I came into P3R having heard nothing more than "he's even worse than Kenji" and only that.
However, this was the social link I didn't know I needed. Stick around to find out why this one in particular hit me like a semi and left me tearing up by the end.

P1 and 2 had no social links and were much more about Jungian creatures altering reality than fighting them in secret. Shadows were still a thing, but more in a P4 sense. P5 brought back the Demon Negotiations and FUCKING GUUUUUUUUUUUNS.

So I'm not sure, but I suspect Tough Guy (Hot Shit Guy) is voice by Jalen K. Cassell - who also did Kaneshiro in P5 and Vanilla Ice in Jojos. When I was playing this part I was sitting here all "man I'm _sure_ I recognise this voice" for a bit until I checked my footage...

You may have the charm needed to unlock Tanaka but there's another thing you need to do to start his SL and it requires a big amount of money.
I'm assuming the answer to why a lot of people are sleeping is just because of speed runners fudging the percentage values.
There are a lot of neat details in this game that i did not see my first time around. currently on my second play through and just realized that when your party members are in their rooms you can knock on the door and talk to them.

Hey Nico, Just wanted to let you know that if you're trying to do all the social links then it's much more optimal to focus solely on your school links for school days rather than links like maiko or the old couple. There's far more school links in P3 than than 4 and 5 which usually leads to players having many school days off with all their non school related links already completed. It may seem like you'll be waiting a while to do non school related links, but there is a lot of vacation days too, and that's when it's best to focus on the non school links.

The dlc personas actually mess with the fusion calculator a bit. A little bit down the line when you might want to craft a specific persona you might find that the fusions lead to dlc personas instead of to a strong persona that you ideally want. Online calculators, as of typing this out, haven't been updated to show alternative ways to make different things. For example, I tried to make a king frost, but the dlc personas kept popping up with everything I tried online.
