I was fussing at you for showing the easy side. But you DID explain how to get that driver’s side bolt out. That’s what brought me here. THANKS!
Great narrative. Been hearing a clunking sound on vehicle for a while and I've come to the conclusion that it's the bushings on the lower control arm.

I take it cars with a manual trans dont have the driver side bolt issue? I may be doing this job soon and have a 03 GT.
Is that the same as a trailing arm? Or do you have anything on trailing arm replacement?
So question. If the nut that is welded on the inside of the control arm that the bolt screws into is broken in there.. what is the recommended fix?
I'm guessing you are talking about the front bolt on the control that goes into the sub frame. I'd use a sawzall to cut the bolt, frees up the control arm so you can remove it, then extract the rest of the broken bolt out of sub frame. Though this info may be 4 months too late lol.
What? Didn't want to drop the sub frame to do the driver's side lower control arm? 😂
Most people don't have a lift, so, probably harder to do than what your showing.
