- This time on SPPTV we are at the drag strip once again and Riley is fighting to get a 10 second pass in before the end of the season. Riley's car has a 5.3 LS engine with a Summit Racing camshaft, the typical bolt ons, and a bit more compression. It has ran 11.60's in the past on motor, but Riley really wanted a 10 second time slip before the season was over, and opted to spray a 100 shot of nitrous.
The nitrous kit was quickly thrown together with spare parts Rob had, as you can see in a previous video. No controller, no delay, it's up to Riley to make it hook and get it down the track. Will he make it in time?

That's awesome. I didn't expect a 100 shot to pick up more than a second!

Shows how good the fox chassis is, 11.72 on motor. My brothers 3rd Gen iroc ran 12.0’s with an ls3 with a cam. Congrats Riley on the 10’s! His on a150 shot ran 11.0’s. Trying to get him to do some chassis tuning, he’s got a 9” with adjustable lower mounts, and strange double adjustable all the way around. Told him it should go 10.5’s if he get the 60’ down and hit it sooner, delayed off the dominator.
Rob could use a chin scoop to help keep the front end down on the Nova [or a set of wheel casters that he can attach and detach at the track so he can maximize all the power without having to worry about it launchin the front wheels up [shorter length to the body and all makes it a rough time trying to get it to keep all four feet planted]. A rear foil would keep the wind pressure down at the rear as well]. I'm sure he's thought about all that at one point or another. So much power in that car :-)) Love to see you lads take something like an old Impala or Galaxie and twin turbo it... the longer body maybe put on top of crown vic frame? The foxbody's are a little longer... for whatever reason, they don't wheel up at the front so much [saw a 302 mustang with high compression heads and girdled at the bottom and it was in an old coup 66 I believe and he wheelied a couple of times but it came down pretty quick]. Love that Nova. Riley's Mustang is coming right along :-)) Love these videos guys :-))

Lol, all depends How its built but that LS is just as capable and in most situations more capable than any brand old small block. I know this from experience, not reading articles and watching UA-cam.
It takes a hell of a small block to hang with a built LS man, no matter the brand. It is what it is.
