Yeah I saw some differences, I had no idea about the dual oil rings and 9 ball bearings! It’s very interesting! I’ve only rebuilt some GT series ball bearing turbos and some journal bearing turbos thanks to your videos!
@@turbolabamerica i purchased a t3/t4 turbo rebuild kit. But the shaft bearings that it came with was too small and wouldn't fit entirely over the shaft. Any idea how I can get bigger or the proper size shaft bearings? Thanks
Just another question as I’m finding it very difficult to find information about the G Series turbos, do the G30 and G35 also have 9 ball bearings per side? Thanks heaps for all your videos 😃 2:36
Interesting, I have a Pulsar G30-770. The bearing retainers are plastic. Had one lasted 15months. Purchased same one as warranty is 12months. Now new turbo lasted a week. Will try to get genuine if i get refunded. Getting parts is a hassle, tempted for a Hx40 as parts are available.
Hey was super curious if you could answer this, I personally believe I have a bad turbo seal for my 2013 focus st, it’s a gtx 3071r gen 2 about 2-3 months old.. I don’t know how or why but I have smoke out of my exhaust that’s burning oil, if it is that what is the turbo seal I’d need to buy?
I want to build an Rb25det engine that is configured to produce low-mid rpm torque and 300-320Kw at the wheels. One of the primary considerations for the build is that I'd like to retain the OEM low-mount position of the turbo. Is this turbo adequate you think?
Mine is a haas tl1 with an 8” chuck. The 8” chuck almost fits anything I need to grab. For some models like the s300v and ht3b I have to remove the door otherwise the part hits the door. I’m guessing this machine has about a 16” -18” swing but no more than 20”. A 20” would probably be perfect for everything, but often when you think you have seen the biggest turbo there is a bigger one.
I love seeing a mechanically inclined person take their skills & knowledge way beyond the norm.! You rock! Thanks for sharing what you do!
I really like watching You build theses Turbo's. You are by far the best! Keep up the awesome work and thanks for sharing...👍
Ever rebuild Borg Warner turbos? Would love to see some videos on the SX-E series and EFR especially.
Thanks for a video about that turbo! I’ve been wondering what they’re like on the inside!
It’s very similar to their previous ball bearing cage design, except it has a metal retainers which I guess is brass or maybe an alloy.

Posted 2 hrs ago. What the hell time did you get up for work my guy. It's 5:51am in Louisiana
Our internet is poor here. I uploaded it to UA-cam and it took 2 days to finally finish uploading.

Would have been interesting to see the turbine shaft weighed, how much does it actually weigh.
It seemed like a normal weight for a turbine. The Bw efr turbines are very light weight.

what do you charge to bore out the a 04 13 blade exhaust housing to fit the the 03 6.0 powerstroke 10 blade? thanks
Have this saved for just incase moment 😀

Does your Focus still have its EGR system in place? I was thinking this would be sending DTCs out like crazy.
I have a gt2256v tubro for a mercedes x5. What is the space for the vanes

How do I get in contact with you to set up sending in some brand new n54 17T turbos to have them balanced and preventive upgrades done?
Is there anyway you can get these turbos to mount in standard location on the Subaru EJ engine rather than having a rotated setup? 🤔
do you have to press the pin out from the drain side to remove the bearing?
No you have to use a slick hammer to remove the pin
What's a good way to get ahold of you ? Do you offer any upgrades for the 10-12 for taurus SHO ecoboost?
What size lathe do you use to work on your turbos? What size lathe would you recommend for someone interested in modifying or working on turbos?
