Hi everyone! I'm a psychologist and I've learnt about hypnosis just a couple of months ago and it really works! I also was skeptical even though hypnosis it's a psychological therapeutic technique. What is really important it's to make your patients let themselves go and watch if they are treatable with hypnosis or not because not everyone is easily hypnotizable, for that you have to make some tests (like he's doing) to be sure it will work (by that I'm saying that hypnosis is not a magic trick, hypnosis it's a behavior you can conduct, and also, that, for those hypnotic shows, they always have meetings between the hypnotist and the people that are going to be hypnotized before the show so they can make sure they are really hypnotizable for the show to be impactful, normally with patients hypnosis are not THAT impactful (by that I mean, not visually stunning) because it's used in a different way, in a therapeutic context).
I'm using hypnosis for treating especially phobias, addictions and anxiety issues but it's not the only way to treat them, it only depends on what I'd think will work better for a particular patient, all patients are different and have different ways to see life, to experience situations, to feel emotions, etc. I wanted to talk about it so people knows about this a little bit more: hypnosis is not magic, it's a behavior. Shows are shows, so they have to be visually stunning, hypnosis is used as a technique in therapy but is not always used, it will depend on the particular case where it could be a better way to go ahead with that patient's therapy.

@@faramis1679 That's a fallacy of relevance.
Of course a psychologist or anyone could be skeptical about hypnosis if you've never studied hypnosis before, normally in Psychology grade you don't learn it, you learn it after university if you want to learn it, there's a lot of psychologists that don't even know that hypnosis it's a valid technique to use and that's because of that "magic aura" created around hypnosis on TV shows. In addition to that, I guess you also think the Korean guy on the video (the one who's being hypnotized) has to feel shameful because he also says the same as I said about being skeptical about this technique (everything about hypnosis and why people could be skeptical about it, was already explained).
As you read before, hypnosis it's not something you NEED to learn to treat patients, it's A TECHNIQUE that is useful and nice to learn how to do it but most of the time you don't do hypnosis with patients because it depends on the "hypnotizability" of the patient (you have to test the patient before to know it).
Shame on you for thinking everyone has to know everything, it'd mean you also know EVERYTHING about your profession, I'm pretty sure you have a lot to learn too and I'm also pretty sure that even Stephen Hawking didn't know everything about quantum physics.

is hypnosis is easy to learn? 2nd hypnosis really works as my doctor told me you need to take 4 to 8 sections for hypnosis(as i am very weak at fouces any think. it's like i lose interest very quickly ). but what i see in media is just in sec and done

I know this is just for entertainment but as someone who has experience with hypnosis I cannot help but criticize the hypnotist. Both expressed discomfort and fear but he didn't try to ease them. During hypnosis one is in a vulnerable state, which is why trust is very important. It influences the process and the effect.
Altogether definitely interesting content though! Rooting for you all ♡

Hypnosis doesn't work period. It's just actors acting.
Well I imagine you need to look at their mouth to listen to their commands but you can't do that if your eyes are closed, and you also take away the Hypnotist's fingersnapping sound that is meant to act like a trigger and timer. so i think hypnosis won't work unless there is hypnosis made for deaf people.

In hypnosis you are not really sleeping. You go into a different state of mind where you are hyper aware but relaxed at the same time.
If they were acting they will definitely have “feelings” for each other when they were trying hypnosis. They were really disbelievers and that’s okay too!

The most useful thing the hypnotist can do in such a short 1st session is to help them release any negativities, limiting beliefs, anxieties, or stress. Making people fall in love randomly is very intrusive and invades people's personal boundaries
