I remember that Supra burning up. We were picking up pieces of melted car all the way up into the corkscrew. I do not think the track is that much smoother, but certainly the extra area on exit of 5, 6 and 9 are huge. So to compare to the prior track, need to not exceed the rumble stripes.

Hi Speed Phenom! Please let me know if you would interested in testing the C8 with the Speedway Composites Chassis Strut X Brace, it should cut ~1% off your lap times and make the car even easier to drive hard due to the 8+% stiffer Chassis.

Isn’t the current street car record the Czinger 21C at 1:25 or so? Records discussion gets so weird with stock/modified and other variables. IMSA and Indycar have been 10-15 seconds faster than that even before repaving.
a Modern repaved Laguna Seca production car lap in the 1:32's is hauling ass no doubt about it - Yay Corvette z06! but also check this out; the official (modern repaved) Laguna Seca race lap was set by Alex Palou in an IndyCar - IndyCar, 1:08.4168, Álex Palou - Jeezus Louise-us.

Got some more news on my z06, third attempt fixing transmission and now it needs a new one. They ordered it and it will take six weeks they said. And I also have a new engine. All before 7000 miles! Most unreliable car I've ever had. Broken down multiple times now
