I'm almost 40 and I just happy to find you Hadar, you are a truly English and lovely teacher who understands our common issues when dealing with pronunciation and silly mistakes from non-native speakers. You were right about having English habits for improvements. I recently subscribe to your channel and learning a lot from your videos, we truly love you ❤️. Cheers from Barranquilla!
I swear this great lesson is so beneficial as all of her lessons are, and sometimes it is so struggle when it comes to grammar, and you clarify hella understandable for all of us. So many thanks for sharing this video. A huge hug from Colombia.
You sound more clear than a native speaker. I was following native speakers to enhance my communication although I was not able to find one who can put all the elements in simple and easy form. Hader, you are a great teacher.
I am a grammar lover. I know, this is why my listening and speaking skills are not good enough yet. I am learning from your channel because I also love the way you teach us.😊
Yeah, this is so true! No one loves practicing the same thing over and over again, because it is sooo boring yet the most effective. Like the way you share your opinion and methods.
Am not a grammar lover lol English is my second language and Filipino is my mother tongue. Sometimes, I have this awkwardness and confusion when it comes to grammar. 🙏 But thankful for you Hadar, am just thankful to find your channel so I can learn and speak more English with confidence. 💕
Once in awhile, I have difficulties regarding asking some questions, including; did, didn't, haven't. Sentence structure, and a thick accent, (combination of romanian-italian accent) when speaking in English language. My goal is to learn American English as well as British English. I love both versions of languages and the accents. For now, I focus more on American English, due to the fact I live in the US. Thank you Hadar for the content🙏🙂💐
Mazel tov - the most grounded and practical approach to grammar that I've seen! I'd only add that I find tackling grammar visually makes a big difference. Almost all grammars present you with intimidating slabs of text and tables. This is emphatically NOT how the human brain remembers and learns. So I try to boil the grammar down to its essence as visual diagrams, using colour, locus mnemonics and neural-like visual connections. This makes the patterns FAR easier to understand and visualise. Then in the early stages of building the speaking habit, I can quickly refresh my understanding with my visual cheat-sheet. And pretty quickly the diagram is imprinted in my memory and I have a visual reference guide to fall back on every time I get a bit confused...
Thanks for this video Teacher Hadar, I’ve never seen such a good teacher like you because you always says the fact and give out some specific points that’ll be relevant to our study, what some people been looking and searching for, you just made it known in a brief minutes and I’m certainly sure that everyone’s that participated in this video will definitely put it into practice
I just wanted to say thank you very much I’ve been watching your podcast from about a month now and my seat speech is improving greatly and I just wanted to say thank you you’re the best
Best practice: Use the same structure and replace the verbs and nouns. It is an amazing enlightenment. Thanks, My teacher Hard!!

Hi, I've been thinking about the nature of language for a while, and so far, my conclusion is that it is neither about how many grammar rules we master nor how wide is our lexicon. Language is obviously much more about syntax but, above all, it is about eloquence. As many of us can guess even if some prefer to not admit it, we don't need to know all the grammar rules or memorize the whole dictionary to develop some eloquence. So, in my opinion, getting used to reading (or listening to) good authors is as useful as learning from our mistakes. How can we recognize such authors? As in most fields, it's a question of feeling, Any sentence not only means something but also plays more or less good music. Sometimes I hear foreign people who speak French elegantly although their grammar is far to be perfect, and sometimes I hear French people whose sentences sound strangely wrong although their grammar is correct. I still struggle with the present perfect, I often wonder whether I have to use it. I struggle even more with the determinant "the", I can hardly remember whether I have to put it or not before a noun. Of course, prepositions and collocations are the most difficult part to deal with. Thank you for this helpful advice.
Hi, Hadar. Thanks a million for all your videos, advice and encouragement to us. to be honest with you I have never ever used it before the Present Continuous and Present Simple. From now on, I look into using it and also implementing them so that I can use it effortlessly on a daily basis. This is my own example: While I was writing my speech, my son called me to come home.
I might not be a normal person, because grammar, even in my native language, has always been easy for me, and when it comes to especially English grammar, I can learn any subject in a blink of an eyes. But I ended up realising that having a lot of grammar knowledge doesn't necessarily solve all the problems regarding your speaking skills. I'm still in this process of getting all my passive knowledge into the muscles of my body naturally. By the way, great video, Hadar.
I am very happy that i found your channel. You have already helped me, because, just like you said, i was trying to sound like a native english speaker, and i can't do that, at least not yet, so i'm more confident, thanks to you and your advices. Greatings from Nicaragua
Grammar can be learnt by chunks. To build phrases or sentences. I think is the method you say. The structure doesn't change, and from it, there are examples for millions to create by changing the nouns, verbs, etc. In basic grammar I struggle with past simple, continuous and past perfect. I also struggle with future tense. In general, my problem is that I make elementary mistakes when I shouldn't because I'm learning the C1 level of English.
Do I like grammar? That's a good question. Actually, I love grammar when it helps, and I dislike it when it makes things dull, confusing or boring. Indeed, sometimes grammar looks like at least a waste of time, and at worst, a way to beautifully hold you back and mess things up. Yet, in some other cases, grammar can trigger an epiphany in a student's brain. You know, that happens when you suddenly understand something in a simple bright way that, that was before foggy, senseless or inconsistent. Cheers from France.
Personally, I was wondering how you can speak English with good grammar ( I think 😁), but you said earlier that you didn't like learning English grammar ? Where's all that well-structured sentences you're making when presenting the ideas in the video came from? How did you first learn English? As far as I know, most English learners will always start learning the grammar first before they're actually speaking that language. Imagine if English learners don't learn grammar, they won't be able to get what they want because they're using the wrong grammar. Lastly, when you said that it just happened that way, well, that's super awesome, I wish I could be like you who doesn't have to dig deeper into the English grammar but can naturally produce correct grammatical sentences in English 👍😁
Very interesting program. Why when I speak often in my mind I think about the grammar of the sentence that I will say? And this is often an obstacle in speaking fluent English?
Thanks Hadar ... i love the way you see the grammar issues and the way you deal with it. I'm panamenian and I'm studing English by my own since a couple of year, and with "studing English" i meant in contact with the language through free resources in Internet.
In order to use English tenses correctly, an English learner should change his/her perception of time respectively. Time is a mental construction, not a physical phenomenon. Various nations perceive time differently so it can be illustrated in their languages.
Hi Hadar. I've just listened to the last episode of your podcast about how to improve grammar in english and I loved it! So I decided to watch the video as well :-). I think you're right when saying that "It's not that you're lacking the resources or the content to learn from, you're lacking a plan and an organized system to put it into practice". That's the point! By the way, I hope you loved your trip to Italy ;-)
Dear Daniela, Im intermediate level and looking for speaking partners, if you would like to practice English skills, don’t hesitate to contact, Hadar is a great teacher!
thank you so much Hadar...this is what I have needed to know...how to learn and practise ...and I am mainly struggled with fancy tense - present perfect simple...now I know what to do and how... :)
Hi Haddar thanks so much because your video is amazing. I have problem with the adjectives, I still confuse me when I do structure in English because in Spanish is difeferent the structure the sentences but I think with is thing of I go practice. Thanks so much. You are inspiration for me because with your videos I have been learn English for my own acount. Yet I have so much mistakes but I go practice English Gretting from México
Great video Hadar!👍 Studying grammar excessively in my opinion is usually a waste of time. Some rules are useful, like when to use simple past and present perfect or will to and going to future, however if you expose yourself enough to the language you will learn grammar intuitively which is better. It's not effective trying to learn a language like we learn mathematics.
Grammar leads you faster to your destination, if you are not a native speaker, pretty much like a recipe when you are a novel cook and you don't want to mess up with your meals .
I studied deeply grammar almost 20 years ago, I know when I speak right or wrong but I don't remeber clearly the exact rule anymore, but I kind of internalized so many rules, I can see when it sounds correct or not, I even write using fancy vocubulary, in the sameway I do in my native language. English language should be in Guiness book for the most simplified grammar in the world, because it easier to conjugate (in present it only changes an "s") there is no cases like in german (it used to be in Old English but does not exist anymore), there no noun gender (in all romantic languages like french or italian, objects or things can be either masculine or feminine) and in german three genders male, female and to top it off neutral. To me it is only difficult to speak using expressions and specific vocabulary in academic subjects I am not get used to it.
Thanks for your advices, it can be a smart way to deal with grammar. . For me pronunciation is the most challenging in English. Grramar is the module where I always have very good marks.
No one likes grammar I guess) I'm learning without any rules, and only if I see that some part is really interesting for my brain - I'm reading the rule. It's working for me)
I love grammar. It' s the skeleton of a language. It's the code of a language. Please... don't start saying "you don't like grammar" , you're discouraging students.

The most difficults things for me are the prepositions to, at, in, on etc and Where to put them correctly.
Me too
yes its quite confusing
I know how to use them in basic ways. But there are many other sentences that make us crazy 😂
The more I know the more I am confused
Then, mess them up at once!
