  • Physicist and WSF alum Janna Levin is accustomed to the mind-bending turns that the theoretical far reaches of the universe can take. But for all the unpredictability of space-time, it was life here on Earth that threw her for a loop. Levin recalls the strange sequence of events that sent her through a doctorate degree, across the ocean, and back again.
Scientists, writers, and artists take to the stage to tell stories about their personal relationship to science. The result is a collection of poignant, hilarious and unpredictable tales sure to intrigue and surely hard to forget. Presented in collaboration with The Moth. Watch them all in The Moth at WSF Series.
Original Program Date: June 4, 2011

This is such a beautiful and tears-evoking talk. For years, it has been a joy to stumble upon and to listen to Janna's talks on astrophysics. I so highly recommend this playful and intimate glimpse of Janna talking about moments of her life and love. 💫💞

Cool - I have Kartagener's Triad Syndrome - which includes dextrocardia with situs inversus as well . . . I have yet to meet anyone else with a similar condition . . . it's a great conversation starter - and also a great pickup line - because I can actually dance heart-to-heart and cheek-to-cheek literally . .

Love Story in the Twenty-First Century
    from Portugal
    Brilhante
    Thank you very much

What are Thermion. They are the first created matter particles within the dense mid core of the sun. Mostly Suns have the capacity and other planets don't. They change when they travel through space and create the others. When dark matters split or leaves the black hole they are specks in free space as Thermion. They pull space and grow to other formations.
