    UA-cam has changed the way they monetize my content. My channel now needs 1,000 subscribers so it would be amazing if you could show your support by both watching my videos and subscribing to my channel! Monetizing my videos allows me to invest back into the channel with new equipment to improve the viewing quality so a small gesture from you goes a huge way for me 😊 Many thanks for your support!

    Great video, thanks. Do you keep the piping foot on for the whole process?

      Yes only change if you have to. Like sewing a top stitch or double piping. 💪⛏️✂️🧷🪡🧵

    Love this way of doing cushions. I was taught a different way but I'm going to try this, especially the way you cut the fabric. Can I ask, when you put the zip on do you leave the piping foot on or have you switched to a zipper foot? Thanks.

      Hi Sharon! Thanks so much for watching! I taught myself this technique for cushions and found it the easiest way to do it. I left the piping foot on to sew the zip 😊👍🏻

    What cushion inserts/filling would you recommend?
    I bought scatter cushions for my sofa but the insert material always clumps together (100% polyester) and I have to take the inserts out to reshape them instead of doing it with the covers on like I have in the past

      Hi James - I usually buy feather and down inserts as they are easy to shape and stay full.

    Great tutorial, thank you. What width was the piping cord please? Could I use a satin bias binding to cover the piping cord?

    • @faceliftinteriors
      @faceliftinteriors  3 роки тому

      Hi Christine! Thanks for watching! The cord I use is 5mm. I believe you can use satin bias binding for piping cord but I’ve never personally used it myself so I couldn’t say whether I’d recommend or not. Let me know how you get on with it if you decide to use it 😊👍🏻

      Thankyou for the video, I'm on a city a guilds upholstery course since September and wanting to learn how to do other things. Where is the best place to buy in bulk? Zips piping cord.? When I did this my teacher tought me another way to do bias piping, but your way seems cleaner. Also I have a heavy duty singer machine I'm finding it hard to go around the corners with the piping. Not sure what size my piping was. 5mm I will try though. Do you suggest I get an overlocker is that somthing you use?
