Gotta love them 70 Dollar Belts! The One for my WH Tiller was a bit more than that, at least its an occasional use belt..and I'll probably never need another one!
Great Job on the WH! Hope ya get the Carb issues sorted out. Spring is here, youll get the rest painted up soon

EXACTLY like starting mine. The mixture is critical. It is not ready to answer that throttle until it's ready! LOL....
I'm having exactly the same carb problems. Finally got it started last weekend and got the acre cut. Later took Gina out to show her and back to the erratic running, like the float is stuck or something.

Wheelhorse looking good. I know what you mean about that $70 belt, the deck belt on my Dixon is a 170 inch belt. I bought that mower at tsc and they don't have one. They said they could order me one. There is a Dixon dealer in Danville in the old IGA I was going to check out to see if they had one before either getting in on line or having tsc order it for me.
Changed my oil last weekend and the knot heads put the oil drain right above the drive pulley. Oh well..

@CSAKvids i always go somewhere else if i can but
its a odd size belt you cant get at tractor supply or anywhere .
the measuring stick at tsc aint even long enough to measure it . lol
same thing with the blades , nobody told me that when i bought it .

  • @jstrunck
    @jstrunck 14 років тому

    Andy,
From the sound of the engine and black smoke at higher rpms, i would keep playing with the high speed adj. screw(on bottom of the carb).
Also, try adjusting the H.S. adj screw first and then slowly back off the throttle. This will make it easier to adjust the idle mixture screw.
If this fails, turn both screws in until they gently seat and turn them both out 1-11/2 turns.
Oh yeah..... always split the difference on the adjustments.
    John

    That wiring looks really good.
Nice to see you;ve got your tractor trained well enough to walk itself!
New decks are suck a pain to get off! But $70? Wow man! You should have just measured the length and got one from somewhere else. Is that your cutting your grass already?

    hey 500 happy easter!.
for your carb problems, do you have any play in the throttle shaft? side to side. these kohler carbs tend to wear out in that area and cause air leaks.
    love the tractors

no hydraulics , but i bought a rebuilt engine block
and then i scavenged parts off 3 other old engines ,
sometimes its cheaper to buy a whole parts tractor than it is to buy one part .
but with a speedex that might be hard to do . id try ebay or forums buddy .
good luck on the project :)
