This was so engaging and informative. It instills the confidence for us to go out there and get things done. Please make a video for the AI and Zapier piece you mentioned in Idea 3.
Why was that first shop open for 10 months but the products all seemed to be 1 or 2 months old? Thanks so much for all the knowledge you keep dropping on us. You are incredible, Homie! 👏 👏
Great videos. You have been very inspiring in creating and pursuing plans to launch online stores. And the way you have explained your own processes has given me a great understanding of how online stores can function and so on. All the best to you 💯✌🏼❤️
Hi, can you look into if it's possible to create these templates without a Canva Pro account? I came across a UA-cam channel that said it is possible but you have to work around some stuff but they never explain how. If someone is just getting started having a pro account with no sales would not be beneficial starting off. Maybe later once salses are generated but not starting off. With Etsy .20 a post is not bad but I don't want to pay for a Canva Pro account starting off. There has to be another way. Can a template be designed in Photoshop and then uploaded to Canva using the free version and it still be editable?
Hi. You can totally create a template without Canva pro. You're bringing your creativity into this. You don't have to use the paid background or photos, you can upload yours and work your way through it.
Great video and content as always ! I just started with the spreadsheet templates, 5 listings until now, using keywords used by competitors, and with good search volume and competition as per Erank, with very small Etsy ad budget, and very few visits a day and favorites, got 2 sales so far since I opened my shop mid January this year with two 5 star views, I hear from many sellers that spreadsheets is a great niche, and see many competitors selling right now (a bit frustrating, knowing that my products are much more better designed with formulas to make it easier for the user to get the info he/she needs) Do you think Brandon that it might be because I have very few listings?
hey Brandon, i love your content and your vibe. do you think digital art prints are over-saturated these days? i am pretty passionate of art and art painting styles. i really like how it can change home interiors. even if it's saturated, i think i'll do it because i like it, I was just curious what do you think.
I know I’m not the same Brandon you were asking but I run a few businesses outside of Etsy and can tell you that even if a market is saturated you can break into that market with great success if you follow what the other successful shops in that market are doing. They are all there for a reason, must be money there. 😎👍 Just do great work, and you’ll do great. That’s my take on it.
Forgive me, I’m new to Etsy. Would you set up a different shop for each type of digital product or are all of your different digital products in one shop? If setting up multiple shops, do you name them similarly so that others know which shops are yours? Do you link multiple shops together? Thank you so much for your time!
For me, It's better to focus on one niche per Etsy shop. When you create separate shops for different types of products, you can build a strong brand identity, target specific customers, manage your shops efficiently, and increase visibility in your chosen niches. 😊
Really enjoy your videos. I've watched about 3 of them back-to-back-to-back so far and I have to say, I'm pretty convinced I should at least give it an attempt! But I was wondering, how would offering multiple types of products (for example: selling digital planners and t-shirts) would affect profits? Would the increase in product variation negatively impact sales or would the product diversity increase profits enough to justify putting in the effort? I was thinking of starting two shops, one to sell a digital download of some kind and the other to sell t-shirts and other things of that nature, which lead me to the question "why not both in one shop?" You seem to be very knowledgeable and I'm still in the research phase (obviously), so I figured I'd ask. Thank you! :)

Hi Brandon, thanks for the great video. Just a question, I am a designer and I would like to start a Etsy store with Digital Products, should I have Product Label Templates, Logo Templates and Brand Strategy Templates all in one store?
Hey Brandon. I love your videos and have been binging them! For my store I had 2 ideas. One is fantasy clipart and the other is (game) card templates. I already niched down from clipart to fantasy clipart but that section is also quite saturated. Do I have to go deeper down the rabbit hole? 😂
Would you do a video of that streamlining automation process with Midjourney, Google forms and Zapier, also Etsy listing of Ai portrait customizations?
Those custom portraits he showed are DEFINITELY not done using MidJourney. Not even close. They are all hand drawn in apps like Procreate, Photoshop, etc. And I have NO doubt that the shop owner is outsourcing a lot of this work. $6 for one custom drawn portrait is insanely cheap. So, either outsourced or this person has no job and basically sits at home all day and night drawing these portraits.
Hi Brandon, thank you so much for this video. I was wondering if it's possible to create these products in a program like illustrator or photoshop and make them editable in Canva? I do use Canva but it's not my favorite for graphic design program, I prefer using my go-to graphic design programs
I’m going to put my tin foil hat on for a conspiratorial rant here: I believe there are sellers who “know people” within Etsy and get their help to build their store. There is NO freaking way that a brand new store with FOUR LISTINGS gets that amount of business so quickly when there are literally THOUSANDS of people (myself included) who spend months or years listing HUNDREDS of items and are lucky to even get ONE SALE within the first few months. There, I said it. Rant over.
I'm just as skeptical but if you can use that logic for other things, then it doesn't hold up. Such as mobile apps, restaurants, clothing brands, even UA-cam channels. There were hundreds that came before it yet, the new ones may gain popularity. I think it's luck and persistence.
Etsy has millions of sellers so it seems marketing is the real key to selling. Virtually ALL listings are very competitive. So, being at the top of search results is critical. I had great listings, 400+ but paid no attention to keywords or any other marketing strategies and, predictably, got just two sales.
Spent virtually all my Etsy energy on the listings themselves to essentially no avail. After a while I didn't even check my email for possible sales and of course ended up with a couple bad reviews AND the listings themselves disappeared.. Etsy is a real business. "Passive income" is a misnomer. It actually requires close attention. Tech skills can be enormously helpful.
Can u pls add what equipment and aoftware, techniques u use to make ur yt videos? They are very elegant and id like to be able to make videos that have the same quality and lighting 😁
I am just not sure how to validate a digital product. Like I get ideas of what I want to do but am not sure if they are good enough that people would want to pay for them. Any tips on how someone could validate a product before listing them?
Search for that product. See if anyone else is having success with it. If no one else is selling it, find out why. Even in an unsaturated market there is a market. So why wouldn’t someone else already be selling this product? Are you the first? If so, don’t waste anytime. GOOD LUCK 👍
Do you have any recommendations on how to learn to do the personalized art? I’ve been playing with Midjourney and would be very interested in this type of product but wouldn’t know where to start.
I created a shop on Etsy in 2021, but never listed anything, so there's no reviews or anythng. Now I wanted to start taking selling on Etsy more seriously, but I am questioning if it's okay to use the old unused shop (that's created 2 years ago) or should I create a new one? You and some other people keep mentioning and checking the shop's age a lot so listing the first product in a shop that's created 2 years ago, seems like a situation a lot of people get confused in.
So the customer does not need the Canva pro account, even if I insert some elements that are in the pro version? Sorry, bit out of topic but it's been on my mind for a while...Thank you🙂!!
@Ursulacatify Hi.A customer needs to create a free canva account & use template but if you insert pro elements, customer will get them as watermarked. So another way is to upload elements from other resources which have commercial licence or use canva free elements.
hello, im from Brazil, my english is good but i cant hear very well yet, could you start subtitling your videos in english to make it easier to understand? ty btw
Hi! The conversion rate on Etsy is the percentage of people who visit your shop and end up making a purchase. It shows how well your shop can turn visitors into customers.
I want to double check! I don't have a Pro Canva account yet still have access to the "template link" button and it seems to work! I'm just wondering if this is true for anyone else or if I'm looking at the wrong button? I gave an etsy shop a try once and it didnt quite go as planned but I want to take another try at it! :) Good luck everyone! We got this.
As always, great video. I wonder if these sellers have multiple shops. I'm getting into digital products recently from traditional t-shirts pod. And my store is getting messy 😱 Should i create a separe store ? I've heard some horror stories about getting suspended due to multiple accounts. What do you guys think?
I opened my 2nd shop end of March and it was suspended on Day 1 (as expected). I emailed Etsy and got the new shop reinstated after 13 days. Just make sure your 1st shop follows all their rules and terms in case Etsy do the cross-check, make sure all your personal and payment details in 1st & 2nd shops are consistent and don't contain misinformation. These are what I've heard and from my own experience.
@@moonlightxyz8728 thanks for sharing your experience. I don't mind if they suspend my 2nd shop on day 1. But if they suspend it when the listing is like 30, it's super annoying. If they suspend my 1st shop, I'll be dead ! My shop was suspended when I opened for no reason (and unsuspended without any communication), so I'm so afraid to risk it now.
You’re allowed to have more than one store. I have three so far. If you have more shops, and make more money, then Etsy makes more money. They don’t have any rules against that.
The customized AI art- PLEASE A WHOLE VIDEO ON THAT! As I would think I'd have to manually do it then yeah it' would have to be like 20 bucks minimum???
great ideas but to get mid journey to make that perfect prompt for you is the challenge! I don't know where these people get the prompts for the art. I went to "explore" section where different people show their art on mid journey. I came across what I was looking for! Guess what? The creator DELETED all prompts and those images had no prompts. Basic Mid Journey will give you crappy prompts and to get a prompt for someone else, you'll be extremely lucky if you'll even get something similar. Also Mid Journey put a limit on number of art you can make for $30 a month its now 250 or 500. I ran out of basic subscription even though it tells you "unlimited" it's not true. The work requires a lot of time to invest, make your products and shop look professional etc. Sure it's great to count someone else's income, but the amount of skill/time and money goes into this is something to be said!
Does anyone know how to make the first 50 sales? Because even with a good, unique product, people will be more reluctant to buy from you if you have only 10 sales and a few reviews (even if 5 stars) I must admit as an Etsy buyer, for some reason I also put a lot of worth in the number of sales and would rather pick an established shop over a small, new shop with only a few sales :/
Hello, Brandon! Can you help me to reinstate my shop. My shop blocked for intellectual infrigement. But who wrote to my shop that i use his item do not answer to my messages.
Try requesting a call from Etsy Support so you can speak directly to a representative who can address your concerns. Here's the link: help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_sell_manage_listings-callback
I swear to gaaawd, either I listen to videos too fast or ppl totally skip or graze over alot of the prerequisite steps and skills needed to start selling a type of digital product in these *insert # here* digital products that you can make bank off of.. take my course.
Does anyone know what the buyer actually receives? The actual downloaded deliverable. eg: Product labels. Do they get a collection of PNGs, a PSD, JPEG files? Thank You.
Hi. What happens is you create your downloadables in different formats, that is in png, jpeg, etc. Then when someone downloads, they are able to select which format the want to download in.
I got an email from you supposedly launching a training program. Let me know as I've been approached by your scammers. If this is to be true please make a video about it if not let me know
Those are really general keywords, if you dig deeper and research more niche keywords, you’ll find that there are so many other sub niche keywords with way less competition. (Under SM templates and wedding templates)
I don’t understand how your shop jumped from 300 to 7k in the second month , you leave out a lot of information, like ads spend , number of listed products, granted I understand you don’t want to tell us the exact product but give more decent information please
Pretty basic stuff, some details not really workable. All the zoom-in-zoom-out tbh is very annoying. Fine as long as it's not every 2 seconds. Overall, some interesting tidbits here though.
Great video but, dude, stop publishing the stores' names!!! You drive traffic to them which significantly decreases their conversion rate, which in turn, affects how the algorithm ranks them. Why don't you share your stores' names instead?
I'm an actual artist...do you have, or can you make a video that explains the process of creating a POD with my original art...for both a digital download and to print on canvas or poster paper? My work is already on digital files but not certain what the process is to turn it into a download or to transfer to a printable canvas. Thx.

@@shannonpalmer thank. i know officially more than one shop is allowed, but unofficially they keep suspending them randomly.
The customized AI art- PLEASE A WHOLE VIDEO ON THAT! As I would think I'd have to manually do it then yeah it' would have to be like 20 bucks minimum???
he has no idea what he's talking about. you can't do this with midjourney.
great ideas but to get mid journey to make that perfect prompt for you is the challenge!
Which part of the video specifically explains the $14,828 from the video thumbnail? A timestamp will suffice.
It was from one of the estimated revenue count from EverBee
❤....real talk 👄.
Hello, Brandon! Can you help me to reinstate my shop. My shop blocked for intellectual infrigement. But who wrote to my shop that i use his item do not answer to my messages.

Try requesting a call from Etsy Support so you can speak directly to a representative who can address your concerns. Here's the link: help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_sell_manage_listings-callback
take a shot every time he says tap in
😂😂
Tutorials Please!!!!
I got an email from you supposedly launching a training program. Let me know as I've been approached by your scammers. If this is to be true please make a video about it if not let me know
It’s good to be cautious, but yes that was from me haha 🙌
Really? Social Media Templates have around 150.000 competetors. Wedding Template around 600.000. Isnt that really saturated?
Those are really general keywords, if you dig deeper and research more niche keywords, you’ll find that there are so many other sub niche keywords with way less competition. (Under SM templates and wedding templates)
Thanks!@@brandontimothy
I don’t understand how your shop jumped from 300 to 7k in the second month , you leave out a lot of information, like ads spend , number of listed products, granted I understand you don’t want to tell us the exact product but give more decent information please
Template the UA-cam how to vid
Cringed at the custom art section, extremely over saturated and unethical ai usage
❤
8 months old so i guess all these products are totally oversaturated by now?
It still depends, I would still always recommend doing product research first before jumping into a specific niche.
Thanks for your feedback! I appreciate your concern. I'll keep that in mind.
genuine question, who wants to buy AI generated art when they can do it themselves for free?
You talk too many words per second. It makes me dizzy. Why dont you take the time to articulate? Is this cool? It is really uncomfortable.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate the feedback
I'm an actual artist...do you have, or can you make a video that explains the process of creating a POD with my original art...for both a digital download and to print on canvas or poster paper? My work is already on digital files but not certain what the process is to turn it into a download or to transfer to a printable canvas. Thx.
Please check out some of Brandon's other videos. He has made a few where he talks about dimensions for printable files. Wish you all the best.
Followed on ig!
🙌🙌
I designed wedding template, it didn’t do that well 🫣
Super competitive
