can anyone explain why reverse isnt allowed in racing? i feel like its more or less for safety so people arent backing up into oncoming traffic but yet half the time you have marshals jumping out in front of cars and putting cars directly into the path of oncoming cars only to have an instant crash. maybe not so much at this level but shit happens allll the time. i feel it would be safer to have reverse so half the time another human getting caught up in everything that isnt paying attention doesnt need to get involved.
Great coverage! Wish the marshals were not all watching the same direction, looked like a lot of time could have been saved if they watched their zones and not the race.
For big names, I think its the norm. I competed on the east coast probably 15 years ago and the competition track was about this size. My local tracks are not this big tho. Really lets the buggy shine on those big jumps
They are usually pretty similar. Pros usually have same lap times within a second faster or slower depending on the track. Electric accelerate faster so can clear some jumps with a short run up that nitro can't. However, nitro can usually carry better corner speed and brake better. It all evens out.
Used to be Nitro was the fast car, but now-a-days its about even. A lot of tracks near me are E-Buggy only do to noise complaints from people with out a hobby.
so Ty gets a 1 and a 2 while Maifield only got a 1 and a 3 and they took best 1 out of 2 thus used the best time as a tie breaker. Why would they do that when they know the track will get blown out which ensures that A1 times will be faster than A2 ? Results were already decided based on who won the A1.
Because, this is the format they have been using for years and years. The drivers all know the format and know when they need to run their best. There are surfaces where the track gets better too. They have used your suggested system at different events and early Racetime events also and if a driver breaks or has a bad A1, they don’t bother running A2 and that has resulted in a half empty field of vehicles. Also, there have been A2’s won at other Racetime events that have given the overall winner based on a faster time. Ultimately, with only 2 mains, there isn’t a perfect way to do it in everyone’s view. Triple A-mains are the best but unfortunately, there is just not time for more mains given there is multiple E-Classes to consider.
Wow A2 was awesome! Thanks for the coverage JCO!
The seemingly random bumpiness of this track makes the racing look very old
School. Back when track irregularities was the norm.
GOD DAMN thats a track.
Damn Lee setser qualify 15th?? Must have been a crazy track.
Fucking hate nitro guys in the pits revving up their trash so it can flame out 4 times and the can scream at the pit person.

have u marshaled before
why do they make the tracks for buggies so HUGE , and the tracks that the Truggies race on so SMALL lol , is this normal?

In this scenario, which one is faster, nitro or electric ?
