Thanks for posting. I ordered something that called for a certain nut and wanted to make sure I knew what I was talking about before trying to resolve the problem of only being given hex nuts.

Great video, thank you.
Wonderful starter video!
For some of these, It'd be helpful if after installing the nut, you remove it to show the indentations or whatever effects left behind due to installing the nut.
Again thanks for making this helpful informative video!
Thank you for your feedback!
What kind of locking nut would you use for a leveling leg on a clothes washer? Thanks!
Whats Good for a front strut on a truck?
I know this is an old video, but I can't find any information about loss of tension strength using jam nuts vs regular height hex. Can't find information for locking and non-locking jam nuts.
Either. Help please!
What is the meaning of KM & MB in Lock Nut & Lock washer ? Can anyone give answer?
Super!)))
How do you measure it? Do you start with the diameter of the hole or the OD of the nut.
The screw you are installing the nut to.
Stover & two-way - are they reusable?
We wouldn't advise it, but if you can remove the nut you can reuse it. Removing lock nuts may weaken their ability to lock, however. So when re-applying the lock nut make sure it's hold on the bolt is secure.
@@AlbanyCountyFasteners Thank you. That's what I figured. As a general rule, I always recommend new fasteners anyway. If torqued properly, they have been stretched and may not hold as well.
The least sexy UA-cam videos are the most necessary. Thank you!
Thank you for your feedback.
I've seen another kind of deez nuts. A nut that has a screw on the side, so you tighten the nut against the threads of the bolt. What is that called?
This guy doesnt seem like hes able to explain some of these very well
Useless peice of info
If the nylon is blue (not white) it's because it's metric
Too vague
This video is just a general overview. For a more detailed view on fastener nuts, take a look at our video on the subject: ua-cam.com/video/pF2I0S7D6s0/v-deo.html
