When my daughter was very young we bought a cabin in northern Wisconsin and she complained about it being too quiet and nothing was going on. I took her to the middle of the 5 acres and asked her what she heard. Her answer was “nothing”. I told her to listen harder… she still heard nothing. I pointed out the wind in the trees and the insects buzzing, a distant car and even a way off dog barking. She learned that there is a whole other world when the din of the city is gone and the electronics are off. And, she has learned to appreciate those sounds of silence in her life. She even appreciates the noises of the city better, now.
I would loved to "trade" places w/ her. One of my dream places to live. You daughter is either suburban or city woman? I used be a Boston's suburbian/ East Weymouth, Ma for my first 21yrs. ( 30 miles southeast of Boston, Ma.) I wasn't a city person. I ❤ my peace & quiet. My move to Vermont was the best decision. That I ever made. I'm still here after 43 yrs this July/2024. I ❤ it. 😍😊😉👍❤️💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🏚
We all need to sit back and listen to “the sound of silence”. No place I’d rather be. Thank you for sharing your story I love it. I appreciate your time to share it
I grew up down a dead end 3/4mile dirt road in central WI, used to say when I buy my own place I will live right off the county road with less car-washing and easier in snowstorms…. Now I have that and my wife and I look for real estate postings on dead end roads haha
@andybrzezin our place is also on a dead end road. 1/2 mile long with 3 permanent residents and the other 6 are "shackers"... being retired, we can be there for a week a month at least. After a while, you look forward to the mail lady, the permanents coming home, and the highlight of week is the garbage truck picking up. We still live half time in Milwaukee suburbs just to appreciate what we have at the cabin.
I love watching you, man I watch you guys almost every day a different show sometimes two shows the day. I never know but I’m glad I met you man. I’m out of California. I hope your boys have a nice day.
Eddie, I always like the smell of the lumber in the evening when I get ready to head home. I just sit there and reflect on what I've achieved that day. I thank God every day for letting me do this.
Seven o’clock at night I watched this at five o’clock this morning having done maintenance in manual mills makes it more interesting, had the day off and went ratting at a chicken farm good fun and sport we got some animal protesters they didn’t stay long once the dogs started chasing and worrying rats , we filled a skid steer bucket so it wasn’t a bad day any way have a nice day
I love the different Camera angles on your channel. Ya'll make a great team. My Dad had a good friend with a Woodmizer saw. They made a lot of cool things out of wood. I guess what I'm saying is enjoy your friendship and the ability to do work with them while they are here. Keep up the good work!!
Hi Eddie and the Gang, nice logs today, Hope ya'll will be able to fix the bottom dog that's doing all the tear out on the boards soon, I saw that happen on a real nice board. Thank you for the great videos! John Toccoa GA "Currahee"
I really enjoyed the video Eddie, the team all back together working like a welloiled machine, everyone pretty much knows exactly what to do, and ya'll get er done! Thanks for brining us along: Word of the day" SILENCE Oly place i have ever found silence, is when i use to walk into the woods, silence, when i sat down for a minute, silence was shattered by the squirrels, birds singing, even a deer, rabbit now and again. Probably the best way to observe Silence, is for us to just hush up and listen, clear the busy mind and nature will teach us a lot. When can think better when allowed silence, especially away from machines, and crowds of people, factories etc. Ecc_3:7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; ❤💯🙏
Good to see the whole crew there. Thanks Eddie!! Hope to get up next weekend to help alittle and get that chunk of wood. Could you email a price so I can bring the money? Y'all have a nice holiday, remember those who served.
Good to see all of you in action once again and the house band in full force and tenor Although I do not know the name of the fellow backing ZZ up on the chop saw, welcome one and all. In respects to the word of the day. Silence and silent are like, time itself. Immortal. If you listen with your heart and soul instead of your ears it is said that you can hear the voices of loved ones who have passed away and those of the future. With utmost of respect to those who have served anfd who are still fighting the good fight here is my take on Memorial day. The last man out I am the last man out. I will not run from the fight. Not in the morning nor in the dead of night. With knife, gun or my own two hands I will continue to fight. Though I am not the first to come to the fight I will be the last to leave. Alive or dead it matters not to me. Should I die while others get away and stay safe and free is all that matters to me. The line in the sand is before me drawn and behined it is where I stand. I will not run, and it is here I will die as I am the last man.
The video goes so quick and as always a great job ..I liked Eddy's word of the day silence you always need that to reflect your day and thoughts the world is full of noise 👍
You guys' long beards remind me of a song I used to sing to my little ones it went They called my dear old father to serve til victory; he hid behind his whiskers and fooled the enem'ee!
Thanks Ed. Beautiful white pine boards. So far. The logs are great & rot free. Question? Is soft woods easier to dry than hardwoods ? We had a good Sunday night. Say Hi to Mark, ZZ & Hank. 😍😊😉👍❤️💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌲
Unfortunately we don't get enough silent time it seems so what we do get is precious. Living on a farm miles from neighbors helps, but you still have nature sounds, which are soothing to me. Enjoy your weekend.
I thought this series was 'Good Times' with T.H.E. Eddie H, where we sit, watch, and review old episodes of the black sit-com 'Good Times' with Kid Dyno-mite, Jimmie 'JJ' Walker. I like my times to be good, otherwise we might be talking about prison time with revolving door recidivist ZZ Mark. I think Eddie has a phrase of the day for me, 'Be Silent'
HI ED 😊😊 the only way U have any peace ✌😊 and quite now U have 2 off a road the traffic over the years has done gotten worse than what it was all day and all night 🌃 😮 I don't know how people get any sleep anymore and wake up and go 2 work they don't know what it means 2 go 2 bed 🛏 😮 and anybody that has 2 wake up early 4 or 5 AM and get ready 2 go 2 work not much sleep it surely makes 4 a long day when it's hot it's even worse just the other day I was sweating water 💦 😮 out as fast as I was drinking it we have had good weather until now may is just about gone and June almost here now it will go from sugar 2 OOOO U what I mean and anybody that does outside work will tell U the same thing I myself can drink a 5 gallon cooler of ice water 💦 😊 be 4 lunch time ⌚😊 I have been there and done myself be 4 when there's no water 💦 😮 left 👈 😮 U take a cup and get the ice out of the cooler and eat the ice ❄ 😊2 it better than nothing it doesn't do U any good when U are sweating water 💦 😮 out like and U don't get cooled off until later on more good cold ice 💦 😊 and a fan helps alot 😅😊🎉😂❤😊 OMG 5 26 2O24
Between a yakin old woman, a yappin rat of dog next door and a drunkin ol fool who mows his yard every other day just to get out of his house from said, old woman and a rat of a dog, It's normally fairly quiet out here in the suburbs of Michigan. But silence as they say is golden but peace well it's priceless!
Holy smokes, arm hair in the wind. I guess, from your point of view, you give use a new perspective. You sort of remind me of the guy in "The Green Mile" who pulls the switch for the electric chair.
I think you all are a Awesome crew. Really enjoy watching your videos. The word of the day is so spot on for me most of the time. Thank you so much.
I’m glad you like it thank you so much I appreciate it

Sounds like a good move you made. I could never live in the city. Too crowded and noisy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts

The quieter it is the louder the ringing inside my head gets.
It’s hard to find complete silence
Eddie, I always like the smell of the lumber in the evening when I get ready to head home. I just sit there and reflect on what I've achieved that day. I thank God every day for letting me do this.

Good evening from Lincolnshire UK.
Hello there! Thank you for always watching
Absolutely, a lil silence with a bit of tennitis lol (from not wearing ear phones in the past) is good time for recollection indeed. ✌️
It is. Thank you

It’s different to dry most soft woods have to be dried fast then hardwood. Thank you
I like to wind down after work is done too . Sit back and see what has been accomplished .
Yep it’s a good feeling. Thank you
Unfortunately we don't get enough silent time it seems so what we do get is precious. Living on a farm miles from neighbors helps, but you still have nature sounds, which are soothing to me. Enjoy your weekend.

Thank you so much
Adjust throttle, insert nail, tap 3 times...good to go.
Haha I can tell you’ve been watching. Thank you
Owesome as always Eddie, thank you for the video, question thought does that look a bit dry or it's just me?
It was a little bit on the first cuts. Thank you
Do you normally saw just a few logs on Saturday, or do you saw a bunch of them to get a full day's work done?
It depends on the order. But we always saw something on a Saturday. Thank you
HEY ED, WHAT IS ALL THE LUMBER FOR UNDER THE ROLLER SYSTEM?
Those are dog boards. The last board off some are not the right sizes. Thank you
big logs make big lumber pile
Yeah that’s true. Thank you for watching
I’m the observant type, seeing lots of flammables laying around but no fire extinguishers or are they hidden so their out of site out of mind?
At least they don’t have my wife leaving burning candles around.
We’ll have to take that issue up thank you
