      Thank you OY.
The injury actually occurred prior to the start of my last ride on July 10th from Sunset Lake Park back to North Cape May. I am embarrassed to admit that I made that ride with one good leg, as my right leg was incapacitated due to the torn meniscus. The ride itself wasn't too uncomfortable actually, until I got to the foot of the Middle Thorofare Bridge, and if you saw that video, there was a bridge opening as I was about half-way up the bridge. Idling a motorcycle on the upslope of a narrow bridge on one good leg is not something I would ever recommend anyone do. I regretted doing it at the time, but once started up the bridge, there was no turning back.
I spent about 4-5 hours that Sunday evening in the ER of Cape Regional, where they took x-rays and, because my knee and right leg were swollen like a balloon, they also did ultra-sounds to see if there were any blood clots. After negative results on both tests, they said they could not do an MRI there and advised me to see an orthopedic surgeon. So the following morning, we headed back to PA and I made an appointment to see a surgeon at Rothman. Fortunately, the MRI showed the meniscus was not completely torn, and so I am doing rehab to see what kind of improvement I can get before retiring to see the surgeon.
      Take care OY.
      Warm regards,
      Mike

@@mbondiskey oh yikes, that’s too bad! My sis worked for the best orthopedic surgeons office in Oklahoma-the ones who take care of the OKC Thunder and the OU Sooners. They can really do miraculous things, these doctors!! Please follow their orders , do your exercises and your rehab
I DID notice you sounded grumpy that you had to wait on the bridge☹️. Now I know why. I was glad you were stopped though, gave me a chance to look around a bit longer

Prayers for a speedy recovery! Has your wife said to you yet, "When are you selling your motorcycle"? lol lol...Thanks for the Ferry Video. Always wanted to see the trip across the Bay.

      Hi John,
You hit the nail squarely on the head, though my wife used some very colorful language about my sanity. I am counting on being able to convince her that I'm still able to ride physically when the time is right, but I have to say, making the last ride with one leg as I described in my response to OY above was not the brightest thing I've ever done.
      Best,
      Mike

@@mbondiskey what about those motorcycles with three wheels? Idk anything about motorcycles but they do look a lot more stable. Maybe she would feel better if you got something like that instead , maybe that would be a good compromise.

@@oldyeller6518 I am personally not a fan of trikes, though I admittedly have never ridden one. I think they probably are safer than a regular motorcycle, and would therefore be less objectionable to my wife as you suggest, I don't think they would give the same sensation of riding through curves on two wheels (i.e., the lean) that one would experience on a motorcycle.
      Warm regards,
      Mike
