Egg color is based on the breed of chicken! The natural coating is called bloom. I have different chickens to lay different colors - white, dark brown, brown speckle, cream, blue, green, and olive. Some chickens also lay more orange colored yokes even if they are fed the same diet as others.
In reference to using the egg former, it doesn't look like your pan is hot enough when you put the eggs in. I've never used one but by looking at how you cooked the eggs in this video I would assume the pan would have be hotter for the egg to form a bit quicker.
Get yourself to the local kitchen store in an outlet mall and buy the microwaveable egg poacher. Works great for Eggs Benedict. There are two wells for egg and a cover. Spray with cooking spray first and the eggs come out perfect. We like to use the Knorr package for Hollandaise sauce. The poacher is made by Ensar Corp.
yeah, your pan needs to be super hot for the eggs, but also, the pan has to be large enough and flat enough that the form is flush with the bottom of the pan. You should grease it all really well. And I LOVE the Aristocats soundtrack!
Hi guys Wiggy and family from West Yorkshire England here. We've watched you since we went to Disney for the first time last year. You made are experience easier to plan thanks to these vblogs. Keep up the good work Wigster
I went to wild Florida recently and it's an amazing experience! I was surprised with a sloth encounter, where you can feed and take pictures with a sloth. There is also ones for lemurs and gators. There's lots of cool exhibits for animals, opportunities to feed some of them, a cool bird exhibit that they fly unto you. It's an amazing one day trip experience! It's about an hour from Disney, so I'm not sure where it is in correlation to where you live but I hope you can visit soon! It's an amazing experience!
Hi Tim and Jenn ! We live in Pinellas county Florida. I have 2 suggestions for places to visit that I think you may enjoy. One is to visit Fort De Soto park. It's beautiful and of course historical. Do that early in the day, then end your day at John's Pass on Madeira Beach. There are several great dining options and of course lots of shops ! This is one of our favorite places to "play" tourist. On Friday and Saturday night there is live music at The Hut bar and grill. And we enjoy walking along the boardwalk then under the bridge .. then hit the beach on the Gulf of Mexico to see an amazing sunset !
Two things: 1. Hollandaise Sauce is SO easy to make. You probably have all the ingredients at home. 2. You can use a mason jar lid for a round egg sandwich. As far as getting the egg to stay in your form, butter both the pan and the form. Set your temp to medium-high heat and place your form in the pan. The form needs to be in the same temp as the pan. Pour your eggs in once it is hot and you'll be good to go!
TheTimTracker FOR YOUR EGGS,Cook them on a flat top griddle you connect to a outlet & Use One ring of a big thick onion slice, spray it with some non-stick cooking spray and put the egg into it, make sure the pan is hot! and your egg will come out round (make sure the onion slice is straight) OR With the same flat top griddle use a heat proof glove to hold down the egg shaper to make it flat against the griddle so it wont leak out
for the egg former try pre heating your pan till the point when the eggs hits the bottom it sizzle. make sure to spray the inside of the form with Pam, and then place it in the pan when the pan is hot. It might work. You may have to hold the form down while you poor. You guys can go anywhere. Just happy to see you two together being you.
I have found that the silicone circle egg shapers are the only ones that do not leak. And the eggs are different colors per different breeds of chickens. I will have chickens when I buy my house when we move to Florida. Fresh eggs straight from the butt are just beyond amazing!
Hi Tim & Jenn I love everything you both do. I love the Florida parks seeing the nature and I love water. I'm a March 3rd baby water sign. I love all your Disney, Disneyland, Universal studios, and all the others you two rock. thanks you you guys. Time love BLT too
Absolutely love watching your guys videos :) I know this is kind of far for you, but I've never been the the Everglades and I would LOVE to see you guys explore there!
You can use a mason jar lid for round eggs. You just spray it with cooking spray and lay it in the pan. Your pan needs to be a lot hotter though so that the egg starts to cook the second it hits the pan and doesn't run. Once the egg is partially cooked through you remove the ring with tongs. A hot pan is essential though.
Hey Trackers, try leaving the egg shaper in pan a few minutes before pouring the eggs in! Also we would like to say that we will be going to Disney in the middle of April for the first time and we enjoy watching your videos because they are great and very informative. keep up the good work!
Hey Guys! We have a few different breeds of free-range chickens and they all happen to lay brown eggs. Like others have said the breed of the chicken determines the color of eggs it lays. Our girl's brown eggs can range from super dark, almost reddish, to light tan.
Hold the egg mold down while the egg sets. You can use a cleaned tuna can with the top and bottom cut out for a perfect round shape. Just be careful and don't cut yourself. Come to St. Augustine, we have beautiful parks and loads of history.
I have silicon circle egg shapers. And I have to hold it firmly down on the pan while I put the egg in until the egg cooks quite a bit and then I can let go of the holder. Helps if you have 2 people. One person can hold the shaper on the pan while the other pours the egg in.
Hi y'all, again I love your vlogs. If you could please give updates on the oldtown roller coaster build. I think it would be awesome to see the progress on it. Thank you kindly! Oh and we keep our eggs in the fridge as well and agree with people below that a hot frying pan works for us!!
There's a state park just a little over an hour from Orlando called Highlands Hammock. Its great for camping, but they also have a bunch of nature trails you can walk. There's a small playground and museum there, as well. The park is beautiful and it'd be interesting to see what you guys think if you ever happen to go there.
I grew up on a laying hen farm and there is not a coating on the eggs when they are laid. We placed all eggs in a cooler until the refrigerated semi truck came to pick up the pallets twice a week. We could leave eggs out for a day or two but beyond that it wasn't considered safe according to food safety standards.
hot pan, butter, use a canning (mason jar lid ring) and put the egg inside the ring (in the pan) and let them harden up a bit, then put a bit of water in the pan around the ring and put a lid on the pan til finished
You have some very nice parks in your area! As much as I love your Disney and Universal vlogs, it's nice to see what else Central Florida has to offer.
Place the form in the pan, but let it heat up before pouring egg in it. Plus try pushing down on the form slightly with a utensil until the bottom of the egg starts to cloud up.
let's go fly a kite up to the highest height lets go fly a kite and send it soooaring up through the atmosphere up where the air is clear oh let's go fly a kite!
You can crack the eggs into a muffin pan and bake them to give them a round shape. A guy I worked with used to make tin foil molds, crack and egg into the molds, then heat that in the frying pan. Last option is you can microwave the egg in a small bowl or coffee cup. Heat for a short period of time then check it instead of leaving in for a longer period of time.
it is best to make a poached egg. Easiest way is get 2 glasses or wine glasses. 2 sheets of cling film. put a sheet each in glass, with some overhanging. crack egg in each. bring sides together and tie a knot or use food clips. boil water in pan and pop parcels in, when whites cooked take out water let it rest for a minute then open.
You can fill a small bowl half way with water , break two eggs in it, be sure water covers eggs completely, microwave 2minutes - 2 min 5 sec pending on microwave . Makes great poached eggs
Wow...I just learned something new about eggs. I'm living in holland for 5 years and just figured the eggs were fresher and that's why they weren't refrigerated. I still refrigerate them when I buy them because I'm scared. But now I know the reason, it makes so much sense now! Thanks for your vlogs! I always enjoy them.
know I'm late on this... BUT, we make round eggs by putting them in a bowl. coat inside of bowl with butter or nonstick spray, put in microwave for about 40 seconds. voila - round eggs. OR scramble eggs the way you would for an omelette, then use a round cookie cutter to cut out circles.
would love to see vlog on the everglades, or boggy creek boat tours, is gatorland still open? that would be good to visit. I always miss that one when I come to Orlando.
hot pan, plenty of oil and pour the mix in really slowly so it sets quick at the edges and holds the rest in - We are from the UK we keep eggs in the fridge :)
You guys should check out some of the Ocala national parks, like Juniper Springs. My family and I have been going there since I was a year old and we love it. Maybe highland hammock state park, De Leon state park, Alafia river state park, Homosassa springs wildlife state park, or rainbow river state park.
Great video guys! I used to live in the Lake Mary/Sanford area and although it's not a "park" I'd love to see the lake side area in Sanford and you could have a swing on the swinging benches (if they are still there) outside of the courthouse. You could always tie it in with a trip to the German restaurant 😉 (P.S. I now live in the UK)
There is a Pirate-themed putt-putt course on the other side of I-4, like 5-10 min from Universal. We love it there, nice break from the parks, good simple fun. You guys should go there.
yes the colour of the shell is from different breed of chickens like the previous comment said also I can remember when my grandmother never put eggs in the fridge now we always put them in the fridge we are from the uk and that breakfast look yummy have that some times on toast nice to see you having fun in the park XUK
Hey there. You can try putting your egg form down first. put a small pat of butter into the form and let it melt before you crack the egg into it. It should keep the egg inside of the form. Some breeds of chickens lay brown eggs, just like robins lay blue eggs. They say brown eggs are better for you, but I really don't know why the would be.
i put the smallest amount of water to cover the bottom of the pan and keep my eggs in the fridge so when it hits the boiling water it instantly starts to cook and doesn't seep out the sides or barely does
The yoke inside the eggs usually aren't different. I think the shell on the outside depends on the chicken and what food it's given. I have chickens and they lay the light brown eggs and we give them all natural feed🤷🏼♀️.
How about Winter Park, the Tiffany glass museum is fab, the lake boat ride is great.... I haven't been to the open air cinema yet maybe you could let us know if it's worth going to next time we're on holiday x
hi tim Irish family here we went to florida 2 yrs ago loved it so much returning in june and can't wait .we are a large bunch 6 adults and 2 kids looking for affordable places to eat out and any other amazing tips 😉
Heat the pan first, and then after you put the egg in lower the heat so you won't burn the egg. I also put a little bit of water in the pan and then cover it.
Your pan also isn't flat. It's why your egg rolled to one side when you cracked it. Your egg former is flat. You may be able to bend it to fit the pan. Otherwise, the silicone egg former shapes are more forgiving. But, be sure to butter or oil an egg former or the egg will stick.
Different breeds of chicken will lay different colour/size eggs :) the lighter the yolk the less free-range the chickens are, so free-range eggs will have a really deep orange yolk (tastes 100000 times better) whereas battery hens will have pale yellow yolks My mum keeps chickens (30 ish) and some of them lay blue and green eggs! :D
Those "little black ducks" are American Coots! But wildlife and nature videos are definitely refreshing and fun to see, so parks and trails would be my suggestion!
different breeds of chickens not only have different colors, but different sizes, and different cholesterol levels. The brown eggs have a thicker shell and ships better and more then likely is from a chicken call a Rhode Island Red.
You need to make sure that your pan is completely flat otherwise the eggs will continue to leak out! The white eggs are bleached (or the food given to the chickens contains a bleach agent) so the brown eggs are natural and organic with none of those bleaching agents in it.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say maybe to turn the heat of your pan up a little so that when you use your egg form the egg hits the pan and starts to cook too fast for it to leak out. I have one of those things around my kitchen somewhere--I'm going to experiment with it to see what works.
You can try a round egg form, those sometimes work better than fancy ones. If you dont have a round one a ball jar "lid" will work without its center. Try to grease the form and the frying pan and heat them fully, also leave your eggs out so theyre room temperature and then crack them and put into the form. Not sure if it'll work perfectly but you may get better results. If all else fails you can crack eggs into a cupcake or large muffin tin and bake them and they'll be perfectly round! Just make sure you use bakers joy or something to coat the tin because baked eggs stick really badly to metal pans.
To stop the eggs leaking out of the form - make sure both the pan and the egg form are level, and also your pan needs to be hotter than what this video showed so that the egg white cooks immediately upon contact with the hot pan. Oh, and the egg color is dependent on the breed of the chicken - despite some people's belief, it has nothing to do with the chicken's diet.
If I remember the different color eggs do come from the same chickens. It's store bought eggs used to be very big on consistency. Now that there is bigger focus on food waste, irregulars are not tossed as much as they once were. I like your park videos.
I am interested if you guys could go to a specific park. Not many people know about it. It is call Magic Kingdom I think. You should go there and give a full tour. It might catch on with other tourist.
Merritt Island nature reserve is a great day out. You can see lots of alligators, birds and butterflies on the 7 mile wildlife drive, go manatee spotting, enjoy views of KSC and visit the beach all in one trip. Stunning place to visit, however if you do go to the beach, Playalinda, avoid parking lot 13 unless you don't mind the naked sunbathers! The parking between 7-8 is probably the best, picnic tables etc :)
I just flip the egg to the point where its close to round or rectangular and it just works. I don't use a form for my sandwiches. Dangles out the sides of the bagel or muffin sometimes, but think of it this way... chicken sandwiches sometimes are an off size compared to the bread being used....
Round eggs for muffins. I bought a toaster with an egg poacher. Comes with 2 little pans and poaches 2 eggs in about 5 minutes. I love making them. On Amazon the West Bend toaster is $70. (I needed a new toaster, so this was a great option.) For around $7 each they have little 3-1/2 inch skillets if you already have a toaster and want to go with a less elaborate option.
Egg color is based on the breed of chicken! The natural coating is called bloom. I have different chickens to lay different colors - white, dark brown, brown speckle, cream, blue, green, and olive. Some chickens also lay more orange colored yokes even if they are fed the same diet as others.
Classic Tim! You're my inspiration. Never thought about vloging until I came across your videos.
egg color depends on breed of chicken for example..Leghorn chickens lay white eggs while Orpington's lay brown eggs and Ameraucana produce blue eggs.
My cousins have some Americanas! The blue eggs are very fun :)
Franklin Chrisman How about a black chicken!?!?!!?
Your pan needs to be hotter!
The pan and the form both need to be hot before you put the eggs in.
Classic vid! Honestly Target runs (though not outside) have a special place in my heart lol. I thought I was the only one that went to target for fun.
In reference to using the egg former, it doesn't look like your pan is hot enough when you put the eggs in. I've never used one but by looking at how you cooked the eggs in this video I would assume the pan would have be hotter for the egg to form a bit quicker.
Please make Tim say "silly goose"

You could cook/bake the eggs in a ramekin. I love watching you guys doing regular things!
yeah, your pan needs to be super hot for the eggs, but also, the pan has to be large enough and flat enough that the form is flush with the bottom of the pan. You should grease it all really well. And I LOVE the Aristocats soundtrack!

I think i love these vlogs as much as your park vids 😭.
Been watching you guys since 2013! Much love! 💖💖💖

Use the ring from a mason jar lid
Mason jar tops work really well the ones that are missing the centers for pickling
And do it very very slowly

It'd be pretty cool if you guys could go up to St Augustine for a day. I've seen quite a few pictures of it and it looks beautiful :)
would love to see you guys visit an antique mall and get nostalgic =P
"I'm doing my sorority girl pose." I'm literally dying from laughter! Lol!
Hey Trackers, try leaving the egg shaper in pan a few minutes before pouring the eggs in! Also we would like to say that we will be going to Disney in the middle of April for the first time and we enjoy watching your videos because they are great and very informative. keep up the good work!
Go geocaching!
Ah genius, another vintage Tracker thing!

looks pretty! I don't know if you have been to any of the gardens there or nearby like Bok Towers or Leu gardens..but would love that.
Hey guys...Tim try using a mason jar lid to form the egg circles. Put the lid (cleaned) in pan heat up and put egg in, be careful it (lid) will be hot
You can crack the eggs into a muffin pan and bake them to give them a round shape. A guy I worked with used to make tin foil molds, crack and egg into the molds, then heat that in the frying pan. I'm currently watching your earlier videos. I enjoy the ones where you go kayaking and also explore areas where there are the wooden walkways.
whip eggs before pouring,,make sure griddle very hot and oiled...hold mold in place and pour...Watching your vlogs for yrs. really enjoy,,
You can fill a small bowl half way with water , break two eggs in it, be sure water covers eggs completely, microwave 2minutes - 2 min 5 sec pending on microwave . Makes great poached eggs

hot pan, plenty of oil and pour the mix in really slowly so it sets quick at the edges and holds the rest in - We are from the UK we keep eggs in the fridge :)
I would say most frying pans are concave, so make sure you are using a flat pan. I agree with the comments of pre heating both the pan and the former.
The mall! Or some of floridas quirky tourist attractions would be good to see!
Also - is Artegon closed now? It would be interesting to see what is left.
Fun vlog guys! Wish I was there.... very rainy and yucky here in the midwest...
yes the colour of the shell is from different breed of chickens like the previous comment said also I can remember when my grandmother never put eggs in the fridge now we always put them in the fridge we are from the uk and that breakfast look yummy have that some times on toast nice to see you having fun in the park XUK
Is the jurassic park ride closed for ever or will it open again?
love watching you two . hope you come back to the UK soon. bryan
Rocking the Slap ya Momma with the big can! Awesome to see if in Orlando!
Hey there. You can try putting your egg form down first. put a small pat of butter into the form and let it melt before you crack the egg into it. It should keep the egg inside of the form. I had no idea about the egg thing! Good to know next time we visit.
cool pantry!! 🤗😎
hi tim Irish family here we went to florida 2 yrs ago loved it so much returning in june and can't wait .we are a large bunch 6 adults and 2 kids looking for affordable places to eat out and any other amazing tips 😉

Those "little black ducks" are American Coots! But wildlife and nature videos are definitely refreshing and fun to see, so parks and trails would be my suggestion!
hey guys, if you want round eggs you need a hot skillet and you can use a tuna can with both ends cut off and sanded smooth to use as your mold.
I would be interested in seeing what you guys think of Gatorland with all your gator hunting in the wild recently!
different breeds of chickens not only have different colors, but different sizes, and different cholesterol levels. The brown eggs have a thicker shell and ships better and more then likely is from a chicken call a Rhode Island Red.

You need to use a silicone mould with a flat bottom to prevent the egg from running underneath.
For round eggs, use a muffin tin to cook them. You can find a bunch of recipes online.
You can try a round egg form, those sometimes work better than fancy ones. If you dont have a round one a ball jar "lid" will work without its center.
I like your park videos.
either a scilicone mold will help keep the egg from leaking or making sure both the pan AND the mold you already have are hot!
From the uk, don't worry we refrigerate our eggs too. It may be cold as heck ... but not that cold!
Moved down here in August and live in Tampa but I would love too see more natural Spring parks...Please.. I know there are a few up in your area
