STUFF I USED IN THIS VIDEO:
Bourns 500K Push/Pull Potentiometers: amzn.to/3DXGQW4
Kaish 3-way pickup selector switch: amzn.to/3xZewil
Rechargeable 9-volt Batteries amzn.to/3dQby8U
I'd have preferred a routed entrance to the battery on the back of the guitar for battery changes. I like the location though. Can't wait to see this thing completed.
This turned out awesome! It'd be cool to see a future build with splatter under the frankenstrat striping instead of over it
pretty sweet, I use your videos as motivation to keep going with my brands, R L James Guitars and Burns Cases!
I'm definitely going to get me some of those shirts
I love the wiring breakdown
Id love to have a spot for battery dedicated not under pickguard, but this will be cool!
It's coming out nice 🎸👍.
I don't know why, but I love this crap, metal,!!!!!!!
You should have routed a separate cavity for the battery, or soldered an external charging port for the battery. Having to remove the pickguard to swap the battery is time consuming and more effort than it's worth for the end user. Fishman also has a lithium Ion battery made specifically to work with their pickups, that already come standard with an external charging port and are much more reliable than traditional 9v batteries or third party rechargeable batteries.
Exactly what I was thinking
Nice! I'm surprised you guys didn't go with the fishman rechargeable battery pack that they offer, I'm guessing it was a cost or space issue though possibly both?
I wanna see a millennium silver finish
I know that this comment is coming waaaayyyy too late to be useful on this build, but next time, if you are going to use rechargeable batteries, why not make it so the battery could be charged in place?
The way you set it up, the whole pick guard needs to be removed to swap the battery. that means you are either changing the strings every time you need to change the battery or you are just loosening them which risks scratching that pretty paint job. If you set it up with the ability to plug the battery in without having to remove it, then the battery can be recharged until it goes bad.
