Sorry you feel that way Tommy. Some folks would prefer a straight WWII style training film to what we do. We hope that you can find such videos and that they will help you restore your car.
Wish I would have watched this before I put one of my windows in my cougar last night. Thanks to you I know how to make the final ajustments to get it to slide better - thanks guys!
I think you should have mentioned the upper rear window stop on the 1st rear track you installed, it is impossible to install with out the track in. Great Vids guys, I actually laughed over the hair antics! Cheers 🍻
It may be that the roller on the front section is not in the track. Our '65 is doing the same thing and we're pretty sure that the roller is long gone. That is a common problem on the Mustang. You'll see a lot of them with window issues. If you haven't yet, pull the door panel off and check that. If that isn't it let us know!
Autorestomod Manic Mechanic Gasoline Media I know it’s a old video lol and i don’t think the installation shown its just referenced to where it goes on the frame but I’ll double check thanks for the response
I'm working on a 65 Mustang coupe, and I am not able to get the driver side window glass aligned properly. The top front does not come up high enough to seal the glass with the door weatherstripping. The back, at the quarter glass, is higher than the front. Any suggestion on how to get the glass to be the same height front and rear? Thanks
I a following your instructions but am having trouble getting the glass in. The two rollers will not line up with the rear window run. I am also having trouble getting the rollers down through the opening at the top of the door. Hoping you can help me.Errol
Make sure that the opening sheet metal where the beltline weatherstrip is has not been pulled out. That sometimes happens. We'd recommend you send Jeff some pics: jford@autorestomod.com
install tip on '67: 'Upper Rear Stop' that bolts to the 'Rear Guide' thru the end of the door. Save yourself some grief and do this BEFORE installing the glass.
I would love to see this go on the Discovery Channel or a Nascar + Channel, to be honest, if you guys were given the correct equipment, you could make a lot of money and have more fun!
well they could have covered everybody's questions below if they didn't waste so much time with the cornball attempts at being funny. Every time i come here to try and grab a quick insight or view of something, the goofy 15 second pauses and humor attempts make me shut it off and move along. never again.
If I could go back in time to 2012 when this was produced, I would and I would do it differently. Can't. We have changed our production some, the humor is less set pieces, more in line of production. Some people don't like a "show" they want to be dropped into the tech. This is a show with tech. I have said it even here in the comments though, we like to have fun when we work. BUT, we DO listen to viewers. Thus the change over the years. Sorry we are annoying to you Bob, I hope you find a show--err tech format that suits.
+Erik Mäki Hmmm no gay people here Erik. Not that there is anything wrong with it. We've said it before we'll say it again, some people like it some people don't. Comedy is subjective. We're sorry that you don't find it funny.
+AutoRestoMod Muscle Car Resto and Modifications Thanks, I just removed the ice-stick from my ass and it feels better already. For amateur comedian you are doing just fine, but the seriously informative part of your message should not suffer. And yes. I know, I suck. So, just keep up your good work.
LOL! Well we don't think you suck. We value your opinions, in fact we throttled back the set pieces of comedy. This was primarily due to what we experienced when WE used UA-cam looking for tech help. In fact we have shortened our intro to 10 seconds to make it faster to get to the tech. Even with that we still do some fun stuff in the show just because we want to show that this a fun hobby. Something that TV shows seem loath to do.

Great video. 66 Catalina driver's side window kept falling off the track. the info about taking out the vent window was the key

Pretty useful vid, definately need to keep working with my passenger window to get it right
You can do it!
Thank you guys! No idea what I would have done without this video.
Can you get the belt line weatherstripping in after the window is in the door?
I think you should have mentioned the upper rear window stop on the 1st rear track you installed, it is impossible to install with out the track in. Great Vids guys, I actually laughed over the hair antics! Cheers 🍻
Great video. I needed this! and got my doors assembled all by myself. Thanks!
The opening at the end of the door is for removing and replacing the glass instead of going thru the top.

I wish you guys would have shown the installation of the lower vent window seal
Check episodes 88 and 89 (I think; this was done like 8 years ago). I know we did the seals there.

You guys are the best
Where do you find a graphite stick. I can find lots of powder.
If you have a Hobby Lobby near you Hobby Lobby carries graphite sticks I recommend using the 6B graphite stick as it is softer for this sort of work

Hey guys, do I have to remove the door glass first in order to R&R the vent window assembly?
Nope.

For sure.
Excellent job gents
Where does the window rear stop go? The one that has the bumper on it? also can you buy those small bumper inserts?
As far as we know the rear stop is not available. We discuss the rear stop starting at 21:21.
@@AutoRestoMod vidio is only 21:21 so how does that work?

+Eclipse CeLL LOL well, all it takes is someone to call...in five years that hasn't happened.
Graphite stick: what hobby store? what hardness? 2B? 4B? 6B?
NIce Video! Thanks for sharing!!!
Its not glue. Its panel adhesive!

Its not a restoration if you don't shed some blood.
Quit that gay kind of horse playing. It is pretty annoying.

Data is not worth the chatter and effort to be interesting.
