I was just thinking that she would end incredibly high if everyone listening could understand the song- the lyrics are absolutely gorgeous and I am usually not a fan of the Dutch language at all. her use of the word ''lief'' which is like ''dear'' is so cute and endearing
Yet your country will win this time around, like we did in 2019.
The words in Dutch are not important if you feel the message she conveys
Yes, but there is also a beauty in not understanding the language but still understanding the message & sometimes I actually prefer foreign songs for the same reason.
Man, I quite like her song but this truly shows how incredible of a person she is. While I don't struggle with mental health issues (anymore), everything she just said in these 2 and a half minutes hits me right in the feels because I realized how true it is and how impactful this is on the current society that we, that I live in. I've never thought of it in the way that she describes it but her statements are right on point. Go angel, you're a gift to all of us!
I can hear her speaking english for the first time 🤣 she is so lovely, i would love to see her with Ochman in duo 🥰
She is amazing. My number 1 song this year. I love "Hold me closer", but the Dutch song just hits me, i got goosebumps from it and the meaning is deeper (Of course). I am so happy that we are in the same semi so I can vote for it. I really hope that Netherlands will win the contest because this song needs to spread that message around the world and this amazing artist needs attention because she is so amazing! Reality of life is pretty harsh when you look at it in a negative way. It's important to see the broader picture and then it will be much better. And you just can't learn people 'how to form aan identity'. It's not possible to being told 'which clothes you like, if you like make up, if you like that people touch you'. Others don't know that, only you. It's something you have to find yourself, and everyone does that different
That's why she said it would be helpful if you learn that from a younf age so you don't get to that stage of depression or confusion. She obviosuly doesn't mean that in a literal way and have a teacher tell them these things, she means for people to be more open minded and help each other to grow and to know who they are and what they want so they know their short comings or scary thoughts aren't unique to them. The sooner they know what they're dealing with or who they are the sooner they can adjust to that and live their life freely.
